    I'm pulling the doghouse off to have a look tomorrow, same problem same engine 1994 Holiday Rambler.. 8.3 is slower than I thought a 5.9 would be and barely pill pulls any Hills at 55 unloaded, acts like the fuel filters are giving it half feel where the throttle is not completing but your scenario sounds Highly likely so you probably nailed it thanks buddy.. by the way this one has the 6-speed intends to hold lower gears unless you ease off the throttle a little so I don't think it's set up right? Would you have any ideas on that one?

    Did that boost leak repair make the motor run like it's suppose to?

      Absolutely fixing those will make a difference, Run an in-cab pressure gauge to track the results.

    Thats' a 5.9 not an 8.3
