Guys I've been living in Moscow for the last 10 months. It's just a normal city like anywhere else. The Russian people are just normal human beings. I walk around in my England stuff, my Sheffield United shirt, etc. and it's like living anywhere else. Not had one bad experience in 10 months. And I've seen hundreds of people walking around in their country's shirts. It is definitely all in your head.
These fish sticks are supposed to be snacks for a beer. They are very dry and salty, and dried fish is quite a common shack for beer in Russia.

Great result, game started brilliantly and we real should've been 2 up inside the first 10 minutes.
But typical England we had to make it much harder work. Having said that I'm far more positive about how we are trying to approach things.

The same Tunisia side, that Spain had only just beat 1 nil in their final World Cup warm up and Portugal had failed to in their warm up game. It is a great result considering the way England played back in Euro 16 and the World Cup in 2014 and then you factor in that the referee ignored two blatant penalties after giving a very soft one against us.
Nah, it's not that bad.. There were some obvious penalty shouts for england and tunisia's penalty call was a very weak one..Henderson played really well.. Rashford looks sharp too, He should start the next game alongside kane

I love getting back to this video. I was in Volgograd too for one of the worst games of the world cup, Japan - Poland. Went to the Mother land calls memorial and I was so blown away that I only took two pictures. It really is something you have to see before you die. I've had the same feeling as Spencer had, you really can't describe it. To anyone seeing this, go there once in your life, it really is the most moving place I've been in all my life!

It's an interesting one, I think their player ran into Kyle Walker rather than Walker challenging him .... but fair enough being a pen, but England should have had 2 penalties, referees HAVE to be consistent ... Use the VAR if you have to, but it needs to be the same for both teams. 2-1 not a flattering result but we have the 3 points ... 6 points should see us through ... and at least we did better than Germany!!

Amazing how different someone can see it being live, as opposed to watching back here at home.
No negatives whatsoever from that game apart from the Alli injury and the way Sterling just doesn't fit into that second striker role.
We were in control throughout, created so many chances in that first half, kept patient, and ground out a result... the first 25 minutes was the best I've seen England in a major tournament for many, many years. We're a young side, most of them in their first World Cup, the squad with the lowest caps in the tournament and we started with a win.
I would love to follow England to a major competition but I've never been able to.

The late show has been on show tonight, what a way to break Tunisian hearts, a late brace from Harry Kane, the game as a whole was decent, but not to the standards that us England fans would’ve expected, Harry Kane was my man of the match tonight as he was the only one who performed well, but every England player played okay today, at least it was nowhere near as bad when we played against Iceland a couple of years back. The penalty we conceded was not a penalty, more like the Tunisian player going down way to easy. Now I hope we can improve on this and get a 3-0 win against Panama on Sunday and at least a draw to Belgium on the 28th. This start to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia may not have been as we’d hoped, but the three points to start it off is always welcomed. Remember England fans, always keep supporting and COME ON ENGLAND!!! 😃👊🏻👍🏻

I will never understand how all of England's players play in the best league in the world but still almost bottle it...
Because the "best league" in the world has become the best only because club are rich and can buy a lot of foreign superstars. So they don't grow anymore English talents, and most of the players of the English national team are second rank players in their clubs. Basically, the Premier League is foreign superstars on the field, English players on the bench or in B team. The problem is that the foreign superstars playing in the starting 11 of top English clubs all play for their country at the world cup.
On the other hand, leagues less prestigious like the French Ligue 1 don't have the money to buy foreign superstars (except some exception like PSG) so they need to grow up local talents. Then these talents go play in top European clubs (English top 4, Spain top 3, Bayern, Juventus, PSG). That's why France has so many talented players compared to England. Funny how English look down at the Ligue 1 as the "farmer league" while the players who won the World Cup all started their career in Ligue 1 (and English clubs are the first to bring millions of £ to buy these so-called "farmers"...)
Bosman ruling was benefic for English clubs, but just killed the English national team.
