ellie was testing lake’s loyalty to the alliance, it’s clear ellie will do anything to win, and its slowly ruining her and also worsening her relationship with gabby (gabby hates people making decisions for her and ellie just decided that they’d both vote for lake)

Ellie being corrupted by resentment (Losing a million dollars by finally showing sympathy after having to manipulate against her will with guilt to get there) being used (THRICE by Alec and Fiore) and still living her hellhole life which is only a little better cuz of Gabby huuuuurts
You could see how uncomfortable she was being forced in elimination like: "This game changed her..."
Ellie was nice, patient and understanding it's how she got with Gabby and gave Jake wisdom in episode 7 but now-

Look I’m going to be blunt. I like Jake. The reason why I like Jake is because he’s a realistic character. He is morally grey character, he has flaws like many people do. He has time to change & develop as a human. He’s not perfect and he doesn’t have to be perfect. At least he’s not trying to be a bad person, he tries to be a good person. Also jealousy is a human emotion that most can understand and feel.
Ellie and Gabby would be pretty screwed if they voted out Tom, so targetting Lake was for the best
Lake had both a fleshed out character and finished arc which is why I unfortunately saw her going early (NOT THIS EARLY), other than maybe a Jake and Tess friendship they didn't have much to do with her...
I see her as a rejoiner though
Honestly I feel bad for Jake, like he’s not a bad person he’s just jealous and I see as Jake as flaw individual who is human. Tom and him still haven’t sit down and talked. I’ve been banging my head against the table.

I really loved this episode. Better than Episode 2. Derek and Trevor were hilarious, Krystal and Emily were great as well. The challenge was great. It's just an awesome episode overall.
