In the lessons we'll be taking an in depth look into the workings of a #TremoloHarmonica with 16 holes, (or 32 holes depending on how you look at it!) focusing on the key of C we'll look at the individual notes of each hole and how to play the C major scale.
Tremolo #harmonicas are a type of harmonica, distinct by having two reeds per note. In a #tremoloharmonica the two reeds are tuned slightly off a reference pitch, one slightly sharp and the other slightly flat. This gives a unique wavering or warbling sound created by the two reeds being not exactly in tune with each other and difference in their subsequent waveforms acting against one another.... for more please see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremolo...

I accidentally bought a tremolo (chromatic) harmonica instead of a regular chromatic. As there's obviously a kind of chord-like sound instead of the regular single notes, I was just wondering if it's possible to learn how to only play the single note sounds as well? (Basically just using the top hole, or the bottom, instead of blowing into both)
I've kind of been unable to find anything on that topic so far.

The more you do it the more it becomes instinctive. There's no shame in looking the first few times you play the song, even I count the holes when I learn a new song as not all of my harmonicas are numbered, but over time, the more times you play a song the more you just "know" where the holes are!

    • @KerinGedge

These harmonicas are tuned to play a particular key. The easiest way to play sharps and flats is to learn chromatic harmonica but you can also learn a technique called bending to create various notes, but that's not easy with a Tremolo
