      I can only agree - we have a saying in the UK and frequently people are called this thing when we all think they are 'that' important, so beyond all doubt John Campbell is a national treasure. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for making this predicament that we face easier to comprehend and simpler to be pro-active about. I know you wouldn't want to do it at the moment John, but I do wish I shake your hand and say thank you.

      One of my best friends is a South Vietnamese man that climbed in a boat and made the dangerous trip all the way to the U.S. to escape persecution by the NVA after the fall of Saigon, with the goal of rescuing his family one day. We met in technical college when we were both 18. He had already saved money working as a janitor to go to tech school. He wanted to be a doctor, but the cost of med school in the U.S. is just too much.
      Once we graduated tech school for electronic engineering, he worked under that two-year degree for a while to pay for a B.S. in computer science.
      He did one of the biggest favors anyone could ever do for me, which was to convince me to go back to school, too. I can never thank him enough for that.
      Once he had a good salary from the BSCS, he bought a small home and married a young Polish immigrant lady, who is now a licensed Physician's assistant.
      He then began to arrange to get the remaining living members of his family to the U.S., including his elderly Mom. He gave the small house he had bought to them, and bought another for him and his wife. They have two beautiful children that are in college now, but sadly most of the Computer Science work in the U.S. has gone to off-shore Indians and Russians, so he must travel around the U.S. and live in hotel rooms, working short-term contracts to stay employed.
      I have mostly given up trying to find steady work in the U.S., so am trying to start a business of my own. But I have never had the indomitability and perseverance that my friend Lam has.
      The Vietnamese are indeed an amazing people, and I will always consider them friends because of the courage, kindness and determination of my friend from Vietnam. You'll seldom find a better mate (or worse enemy, if threatened) in many of them.

    • @karl9460
      @karl9460 Před 4 lety +2

      Basically, three strains exist. The original one which infected deep in the lungs. A later one was found and believed to have originated in patient four in Berlin where the virus multiples in the upper respiratory first making it more virulent and later a cluster was found in Singapore which might explain their ability to control it in which ORF8 has appeared to degrade in such a way as to make it less virulent. PS, someone needs to tell John that no live virus from faeces has been found, at least not one that has been capable of being able to infect anyone. Some virus was found, but it was deactivated, possibly be stomach acid.

      “Can we assume that an asymptomatic person is no longer contagious after the same sort of time as a symptomatic person?” In general no. Symptoms or not: If the person is treated with antivirals the person is cleared of the virus within 7-10 days. If the person receives no antivirals then the virus can linger for 21-27 days. Finally viral recurrence has been reported in 45-50 days. AND re-exposure infection can occur.

    A "wet market" is just what you'd call a farmer's market here - it sells fresh produce like vegetables, eggs, dairy, fresh noodles, tofu, meat, fish, … And the whole "all farmer's markets need to be banned" line is just ridiculous. Sure, some of them may have a corner where some people sell wild animals - same corner where you might get venison or boar or wild poultry or whatever here - but that's a very small part of all markets. And both here and over there, relatively few people eat game.
    If you considered banning the sale of wild animals here, the response would be mostly the same as what you'd get over there - most people don't care, and a vocal minority will complain if you take away their venison goulash…
    The oversimplification and mindless repetition of radicalizing rhetoric is annoying, I'd have expected better from Dr. Campbell…

      Agree. The documentary that I believe was on Epoch Times was eye opening and very well done. Plus that lab has been under observation by US since it was reported to have “lax” management. I think we can put the wet market narrative to bed.

    I have made a solution that I use..1/3rd cup Bleach to a Gallon of Water. When I check my Mail or get a Package. I wipe the Mailbox handle and also my Mail or Package. I also do this to everything I get at the Supermarket, Except Fresh Vegetables. The Vegetables I let Soak in Hot Water for about 30 Mins.. These are a few of the precautions I take..

    Fyi. I've a seriously I'll relative in hospital who's in his own room. Hes been there for over 3weeks having had a cancer op. A few days ago they told him he has tested positive for covid 19! Now they have told him they dont believe he has it as hes soo well! Two things strike me , one , how did he get it in hospital, in a room alone. Two , how effective are these testing kits! I'm beginning to wonder it it's in the air more than we know. I will keep you updated. Thanks for your brilliant channel, very much appreciated.

    Could the serum from a cat who has recovered from covid-19, create an immunity response in a human, similar to the cow pox/small pox connection?

    • @aprilapril2
      @aprilapril2 Před 4 lety

      Fib Onacii I think plasma is what they’re looking at . Anti body’s from someone who has recovered

      You would not want to use cat serum.

      They tried horse antibodies with the Spanish Flu and it wasn't very effective. Maybe a more closely related animal like mice or monkeys could do better but still no guarantee. Rhesus macaques were found to have developed immunity to Covid-19 after recovering.

      People were intentionally infected with cow pox to develop a antigen that is effective against small pox. They did not use plasma from recovered cows.
