I went on the adventure of a lifetime performing Doctor Mike: A-LIVE, my first ever live show! My producer, Sam, and I wrote this show, and then we built out a killer creative team to bring it all to life. We’re so proud of this variety show about medicine and the human body, full of improv, game shows, and furry guests (come on, you know we had to bring Bear)! We visited The Wilbur Theatre in Boston, Capital Turnaround in Washington DC, The Fillmore in Philadelphia, and The Count Basie Center For The Arts in Red Bank, NJ, as the first trial of what this show is and how we like touring life. Believe me, it had so many ups and downs. From the incredible highs of meeting fans during VIP meet and greets and rapping about vaccination on stage, to the brutal lows of Bear and I actually getting kicked off a plane and being forced to drive to DC. This video gives you an exciting look behind the scenes to see what tour life is like and how hard we all worked on pulling this show off. No matter how hard we worked to make it, we truly couldn’t have done it without you all getting vaccinated and coming out in person. I’m so excited about expanding this tour and meeting more of you across the country and around the world! Ah yes, the ESA. As soon as you said Bear was an ESA and you were taking him on a plane, I was impressed that you got him on a plane. Dumb how they didn’t tell you that despite being approved, and letting you on the plane, they still kicked you off. Thank you peacock person for making things harder for people with ESAs…
I am an EMT and my husband is a Ct/Rad tech. We are doing the travel tech thing with our 4 kids who are on the autism spectrum. They are Mason-15 Hunter-15 Ammon-12 and Airabella-11
I have watched you for years. My kids have now been watching your for quite awhile. The best part for us is that you calmed their medical anxiety during Covid. They would watch you and share info with each other and then ask us medical parents even more questions.
We are a medical family for sure but now the kids are way more involved in their medical and care than they were before. Now they ask more questions to learn more and not have fear.

I literally cried when that girl Amy teared up and expressed how Dr.Mike's videos help her with depression. I don't have depression thankfully and I pray nobody has to go through it but she clearly represented what Dr.Mike means to his fans.

Dr Mike so needs to make a video on time management. Maintaining a profession as densely time-consuming as a doctor, devoting so much time to CZcams and other social media, and training to become a boxer and athelete at a young age is an inspiring feat.

Sam (redhead) cameraman/director/ Master troll of meme review / referee , Dan (black Short hair) cameraman/editor/"producer" now Carolina helps Dan with Editing and CC. Bear, the dog with the best attention span and great listener., Just as chill as his dad. In all seriousness, he does have videos with all of them and how they met and challenges (except Carolina, she's new, and a hispanic guy they just got not long ago). But yes, Sam and Dan's laughs are part of why i love the show, they genuinely love each other and are very supportive. On most videos he looks at them more than the camera while talking or explaining and it just makes it more genuine. Is not only getting the right people, Is Mike having them be like family.
The Uber just dropping you off in a McDonalds drive thru and speeding away is the most Boston thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Loved the show!!!
Well…as an Uber driver I can confirm that we don’t do drive thru rides anywhere. Drive thrus take forever and Uber stops are meant to be 5 minutes or less. But hey…there’s always Uber Eats!
@@BrandonBuildsWebsites i think the catch is the driver knew they wanted to go to McDonald's and knew it was 24 hr drive through, but left before they realized it... which is kind of messed up at 12 am
Here in the UK most taxi/uber drivers are actually pretty good with going through the drive thru with you so long as it's not ridiculously busy etc, they also offer a wait and return service, they'll collect you from your destination, take you to the drive thru so you can dive into the restaurant/take away, grab some food and then it'll take you back to where you came from so you can eat it! It costs extra but it's definitely not an obscene amount! 😁 or at least prior to uber eats becoming more widely available and used to get foods we couldn't get delivered beforehand!

I think the bulk of what went wrong was that his dog couldn't go on the plane so he had to drive.

Bear drinking out of the cup made me chuckle so much- I'll sometimes bring my Australian Cattle Dog to dog friendly restaurants/breweries/coffee shops and even if they have dog water bowls, she'll only drink water from a disposable cup. We like to joke that it's her "Clear Beer" or "See through Coffee"

I started to tear up when you talked about the kid going from throwing up visiting doctors to being excited to go to the doctors and ask a bunch of questions because of you. That is the most purest, sweetest thing I’ve ever heard. You’ve made such a difference in people’s lives in so many different types of ways. I'm glad you didn't mistake ESA with SD ( service dog).Most of the time, people would bring their dog and put a vest saying "ESA" into a non-friendly place saying that it's a SD. ESA dont have public access rights in most of the countries.
ESAs used to have a lot of the rights of SDs and the removal of many of those rights wasn't really advertised or spread. So it's understandable that he thought Bear would be good- he used to be, even as an ESA, not and Service Animal. Unfortunately, it's because people would is the ESA cert as a loophole to bring their poorly behaved animals in public areas. 😢

We have several venues to choose from!!
ESA's were banned from flights a while ago because people were taking advantage of the rule. So happy to see how comfortable Bear got on the flight.
I still think it is bs. I have severe anxiety and my cat is my emotional support animal. I refuse to go on a long trip over seas without him and now may never be able to even try that trip because I can't have him with me safely. I refuse to let any of my animals, as they are not pets they are family, risk freezing to death in the cargo.
@@RavenMenel actually, the cargo hold is pressurized and has heating/cooling depending on the weather. Good airlines (like Lufthansa and KLM) fly all sorts of animals in cargo on a daily basis - horses, dogs, cats all the way to endangered animals being transferred to/from zoos around the world, like Pandas. Not all airlines are built the same, obviously, but there are some that have absolute stellar reputations for flying animals in the cargo hold.

I am glad they dont let ESA on planes. It makes people with severe allergies to animals have a slightly more bearable flight.

When I read the title, “Everything That Went Wrong On Tour” I expect some Fyre Festival levels of disaster, not having to eat dinner at some random gas station and having to drive to Washington! Dr Mike. I hope u know what this life entails. U are a great CZcamsr, doctor, and from what I've seen, a great person. But going on tours is a different story. Everything that went haywire for ur first tour, is just the beginning. Idk how much family u have, but it better not be much because u won't see them much. the best part about it is u get to see and interact with people from all around the world, hear their stories and experiences. But at the end of the day, we have to make sure we are taken care of mentally. I don't want u going out like some of the song artists do. If u need to take a break, TAKE IT. If u need to relax, RELAX.

I really want to see you, if I would of known u did a tour I would of definitely came to see u!! I wish every dr was like you cuz I've been sick with cancer and autoimmune disorders for almost 2yrs and every dr I've been to either tells me it's in my head or just doesn't know what's going on and sends me to a different dr or tells me treatments I can't actually do and what's even worse is my 19yr old son has both the same thyroid autoimmune disorders I have but he's more Graves disease and I'm more hashimotos but since I also went undiagnosed with my thyroid cancer for 7yrs that I know of I had my thyroid removed and I'm still not getting better, infact I have even worse health now being on such a high dose of levothyroxine to keep my tsh suppressed and I hv panic disorder now and I just wish all drs seemed to care for their patients as much as u seem to, sorry im blabbering on I just love watching your channel and ur passion for accurate medical advice and for caring!!! I wish I could have u as my Dr so I could maybe have a chance of getting better so I can live my life!!!! Congrats on all ur success with your CZcams channel and ur professional life and I just wanted to let u know ur such an inspiration and even though I don't know u you just seem like a great guy!!!

Hello Mike. I’m currently suffering from anxiety, and other mental health issues. Anxiety may not seem as bad as depression but it’s just as bad and worse in some cases. Your videos have gotten me through rough times. I’ve had numerous attempts at ending myself and eventually sent to a psych ward and thinking about the good times of me watching your videos and of course the unforgettable bear helped me push through my mental illness, I’m aware I’m late to the party on thanking you dearly for what you have done for me, but thank you so very much for what you’ve done for me. I really appreciate it, I really do.

Love your channel. I would LOVE to see you come to Houston. We have that huge medical center (well, really, we have 4 of them) and none of the docs make medicine as fun as you do. You got me through one of the hardest things in my life. My beloved husband of 30 years, who is usually so darned healthy (if you don't count Type 2 diabetes, both parents had it, and a shiny aortic valve (titanium, he ticks like a watch) came in one evening and told me he just threw up and it doesn't look good, come look at this. So, I go walking in the bathroom (not as easy as it sounds with fibro and MS) and look at the puke. It looked like coffee grounds. I knew what that was but I called a nurse with our insurance just to make sure, and when she said it was bad, I began to panic. I had no idea what I could do, drive him to the hospital or.... And I heard your "call 911 now. Don't wait." in my head. I did, the EMTs got here. I had all the meds on my tablet already so I handed it over. They started to walk him out to the ambulance but he got 3 steps and started to go down. We plopped him on my kitchen stool and they brought the gurney. They took him in and he went to ICU for a week. 5-units of blood, two sessions of endoscope to correct esophageal varices and he was good to go. I watched your videos when I would get home, your mannerisms and perky attitude kept me from freaking out. So, thanks Dr. Mike, just wanted to say that (and please come to Houston).
