Sure but only when car engine is running.
If internal temperature increased than set temperature car starts automatically.

Does SHVS provide torque assist? My own a ciaz 2016 model. It's written in the manual but I don't think it works. Engine Start stop is the only functionality that i experienced .
Yes. It does makes huge difference in case performance.
It is belt driven power which is continuously monitored by car's Sensors.
That reduces the overall load on your car engine.
This increases fuel efficiency.
Auto start and stop is added feature
5th gear pe highway pe neutral kar do to ertiga 1.5 km aram se khinch jati hai.
Us samay average 30km / hour dikhata hai.
Aur 5th gear me fixed speed pe chalao highway pe tab bhi 30km ki average dikhata hai.
30kmpl ye maximum avg hone ke karan wo display kiya jata hain.
Jab aap neutral pe car rakhte ho to engine free ghumta hain jisse maximum power effeciency dikhti hai.
Aur 5th gear me jab gaadi pohoch jaati hain tab bhi drag or load kam hua hota hain isi liye 30 kmpl display hota hain.

I recently gave my car for servicing and after that HYBRID system has stopped working in my Petrol hybrid ciaz. On my complaint Workshop checked the battery health (Acid Battery with the engine) and it was 66%. They are saying that hybrid function will not work on 66% battery health and you need to change the battery. Is it true???
Yes sir. But if your run per month is less than 1000km. Then smartdrive will suggest to postpone your new battery purchase till few more months as the fuel economy will be affected only by 2 kmpl. Battery costs around Rs7500/-.

Only selective 1.5 litre engine Cars have secondary lithium ion battery installed in SHVS version. In Rest of all the models, special ISS battery installed doing roles of both lithium ion and normal acid battery performance.
Hi, recent shvs cars from maruti comes with dual battery (lead acid and li). But shvs cars made till 2019 came with only 1lead acid din70 battery (in case of Ertiga).. is there any option to convert the old shvs single battery system to dual battery option... As the battery life ends in a short period...
Nope. Actually dual battery system is still under development. The main reason behind that is improper maintenance and Irregular check-up.
Acid batteries pay off in their first year. Rest all is bonus for us.

There is no separate starter motor in SHVS. ISG does the job.

What a detailed explanation bro👍. In my case, around 3 days before auto start yellow light started blinking (Car age is 40 months) while i was driving. Got it checked and found issue with the battery.
Battery (OEM Exide 70 din) was replaced the same day but auto start light continued to blink despite driving for 450km. Yesterday Upon scanning the ecu the error code was detected and then deleted, it stopped blinking and shvs started coming upon deaccelerating but it doesn't come upon accelerating and the car doesn't auto start/stop despite deleting the error code and driving for 80km today. What can be the reason bro?
Drove majority keeping parking and head lights off. Today also drove for 35 km but still problem is same. My number is 9779715038, kindly guide bro.
If the SHVS doesn't Glow up it's highly recommended for a day or two. after waiting if still we are having trouble with the SHVS not starting then mere a short visit to service center will do the job done without any cost. service guy will simply reset the battery status and issue will be resolved.

Please note there are only 3 things responsible for smart hybrid car to work.
1. Battery
2. ISG (generator /motor)
3. ISG belt
One of the above will be not working properly. First doubt comes on battery.

there might be any issue like faulty battery, looose contact of wiring, or just need a system reset. kindly visit your car service provider as this problem is rectified free of cost in warranty period by car providers.

Good information. Can SHVS works during cruise mode?
Not really. Because for cruise engine is set to required RPM with given fuel and air compression so there is no option for acceleration and deacceleration.
And SHVS only works when you accelerate and de accelerate.
So technically no support from battery during Cruising.

Starter motor ko advance banaya hai. Jisse wo wapas electricity tayar kare.
Normally starter sirf ek gear use karke car start karta hain aur baki pura samay uska koi kaam nahi hota. Ek baar engine shuru ho jaye to starter ka kaam over.

Bro very good information. I have XL6, sometimes this system works and sometimes it will not work, is that a problem. Or if battery is low it will not work.
To check it you have to borrow service battery from nearby shop on rent.
If SHVS goes well with new rented battery. Your problem is in battery.
Alternative is, you can ask service center to take battery test.

Not recommended.
1. You will reduce car performance(pickup).
2. Hybrid system is built to support the engine with minor thrusts. In case of CNG, hybrid system will fail to provide that thurst efficiently.
Ertiga is already under powered vehicle. Please never go for CNG else you have to sell your car within few months.
Balano shvs can we install CNG in it??

Yes. It will also charge lithium ion battery.

Not really. The MCU is designed to cut off the torque assist after certain period of time.

In that case you have to update MCU, Battery and for better performance ISG too.
All in all it's not good option to make such upgrade.
It was observed that lion battery discharges quickly, then after some time it does not support acceleration, what if a mount a solar panel on roof and charge battery with solar panel ?

Yes. It's better to use all features with Engine Switched ON.
@@SMARTDrive so if someone's running is much below than usual and use vehicle occasionally (no daily use) ... better to opt regular engine variant ( non mild hybrid variant). Because in such conditions benefits of Dualjet engine might not be accessed if running is very low and spending on mild hybrid variant over regular variant would not be a smart choice.

You are right.
Mild hybrid car will charge and use it's battery🔋 only if the car has good run on highways(not even in cities).
Alternator needs to charge battery fully to get this work.
Consider after 40km of long run the battery charging gets restored to 100%. Then mild hybrid is usable again.
Better not to go for hybrid if daily run is less than 30-40km per day.

Yes sir. That is the same issue you are facing. You just need to visit service center they will make repairing free of cost.

Check if your car warranty is covering water damage. If there is rider covered for water damage then you can directly claim under insurance

I have been driving my shvs ertiga petrol for last 4 years. I saw auto off light blinking and visited the service center where I was assured that it is a problem with acid battery and it can sustain upto 2-3 mnths. However, one day my car refused to start and after visiting service center i was told that problem is with li ion battery which costs around 60k. It was a really bad support from Marutisuzuki where clear guidance at the first instance was not given and tht resulted in a bigger maintenance loss. Plz guide me if anyone else have faced the same issue.

I am having a Ertiga 2021 model, wanted to clear one doubt.
Recently I had gone for a long drive. After 80km/hr there is a small beep, then after 120 km/hr there is a long beep.. But after 120 km/hr in highway I am facing one more issue, I am getting an extra sound somewhere from the roof area (tak tak tak) like some one is hitting the roof..
I enquired during my first serice they told nothing like that.. but again I am facing the similar issues.
Please if possible advice
i am pretty much sure this sound is of any loose part or ribbon like thing. on high speeds this colide with car body so hard that you can hear the sound. through checking or any loose part is highly recommended. remove decorative ribbons if any present.
80kmph and 120kmph alarm is new safety feature mandatory in all cars to avoid over speeding. that is good for us all.

Actually it's a good question. CNG installation is quite tricky process for any car.
Therefore maruti provides company fitted CNG cars.
It's our humble opinion that you please continue with your car as far as you can.
And just switch to(buy new) electric/CNG car once it's affordable.

This is usual. Good news is there is no issue with the car, only replacing the battery will solve the problem.
As the battery gets older, it fails to retain maximum current required for smart hybrid functions. Therefore you can feel the "torque assist" and "auto start and stop" function has been stopped working.

Should I replace the horns to the lower level after installing the new battery??
Honestly speaking horns doesn't make that much harm to battery as lights and music system does. You better check for any wire cuts or related issues to retain new battery's life intact.

Doubt pls Hybrid means petrol and electric. Which means while running the vehicle will change frm petrol to electric Mode automatically how it happens in CNG vehicle?

Nope. Hybrid means support with electric motor.
Petrol/diesel/CNG will start and run the engine. And electric motor and extra battery will support The engine once it's in use.
Hybrid never runs compeltely on electric motor.

CNG or petrol is one and the same. Matter is of demand. Today petrol and diesel demand is high therefore their prices are high. Tomorrow CNG demand will be high then CNG prices will also be high
