I met Richard at a Rock Camp in LA he has some great stories, he said he is eventually doing a book, it should be great .
You wanna level that audio a bit at the beginning?
Still relevant.
Jesus Christ!
Will you dumb fucks stop bitching in comments all of the time?
You remind me of my ex.
Watch the interview.
Holy shit that almost blew my ears out
he's adorable ... luv the accolades he gave Ministry, Skinny Puppy & Front 242...ofcourse the Nine Inch Nail narrative is obvious to anyone that's a fan but lotsa peeps still don't give the essential props to the Industrial Revolution of the 80s circa WaxTrax! Records ... other great bands: Swans, Front Line Assembly, Thrill Kill Kult, Nitzer Ebb, Revolting Cocks, Acid Horse, Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, etc....many more that most fans of NIN or Filter have no clue of their crucial impact & massive influence.
Hey Richard its scott the crazy bus drivers kid 👶 NIN 91 European tour ended in London @ the ASTORIA thanks for some great memories 🙃
I just want to tell the cameraman... Hey man, nice shot.
It's amazing how cool they sound! How do they achieve such a dense and at the same time emotional effect with their music. Excellent group, from 1995 to this day listening to the times.... relevant, strong, honest, bright! Привет из России,ребята)
Amazing Individuals... Mr. Richard Patrick \m/💞FILTER
insightful interview!
He looks so much better sober.
Great interview and great detail from RP.
He said his nickname in NIN was PIGGY, i wonder if the song Piggy on TDS is about Richard?
IrishZombie81 it is. He confirmed that in another interview.
Paul Meadowlark Nice, alway's thought that was a song about a girl, didn't know Richard leaving hurt Trent that badly, kinda like a fuck you "nothing can stop me now, cuz i don't care anymore" to Richard, i guess Trent felt betrayed cuz he kinda payed Richard's way to get out to LA and then he just bounced on him. But then he got Robin and had the best |\| | |/| lineup yet, Woodstock 94' era was the fucking best, jesus it was so dark and heavy.
@@06mrselfdestruct yeah they traded shots at each other back during that time, trent wrote piggy about richard and richard wrote gerbil about trent but they made up in the end
Seems like bs. No one else has ever backed that claim and Trent has stated several times that TDS tells a story and that he wrote it under certain parameters. Also, looking at how petty Richard acts sometimes, it seems he never got over leaving NIN.
Good interview
Man, being in bands with people with strong personalities can be weird. When you leave they act like you're breaking up with them.
trent put richard where he is, trent felt betrayed when he used him and left, can you blame him?
I went back to Title Of Record and the song, It's Gonna Kill Me, was a great representation of what you're talking about.
🥰
Richard reminds me of Tom Kenny for some reason lol.
I sat in on a spongebob panel one year... dear lord, they are almost the same person.
MizerisMoney “Tom Kenny “ the guy that voices over Spongebob square pants.
His brother is a Terminator.
Robert is his brother?
right on bro!👌👍 industrial for life!... rivet heads for life!...BrAp oN!!¡!🎹🎸🎧💫💀🔥🙊🙉🙈😵✋✌
@Eric Andre"Play this music loud or not at all" as always with da green guy.. To hell with any bullshit!
He almost could pass as Tom Kenny or even as Tom's brother, they both look so much alike. (voice actor for Spongebob)
or Mark Mothersbaugh
8:17 back in the good old days.. sounds like a fairy tale or fable now.
U got it bro. Keep it going. Keep it evolving. Self production is key but need outer inspirations. Me too. You are a big inspiration along with Geno and Phil.
I love when he voices SpongeBob. Idol!
RP- I see that from your call 3 years ago to me about what's going on with your music; which I said, GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS!!! Minus the drugs and booze. Kudos Ricardo
Ministry rules.
He's got the Conan O'Brien thing going now. Ok.
Rick is starting to look more like Mark Mothersbaugh every day
Nahh.. more like Tom Kenny... check this out: vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/toonami/images/a/a2/Tom_Kenny.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130821221215
I never stood up in a plane full of people and "did inappropriate things"... I'm sorry, you were saying...
If you close your eyes and listen to his voice, it sounds like Woody Harrelson is the lead singer of Filter.
How the hell was he "dirt poor" before he left NIN? Not making any judgements here, just trying to understand.
He was dirt poor because he was just hired to play on tour. He didn't get paid much. There is this documentary called Hired Gun here on CZcams. It talks about musicians that are hired for studio work or touring. It is very interesting. He talks about it there. How when he started his band filter he did the same thing of hiring touring musicians and paying them scrap to keep the money for himself.
It's weird how there's a certain age you pass where you can still look like you're 30 but then seemingly overnight you look like you're 60. I swear that in the interviews after "The sun comes out tonight" he still looked youthful like a 30-something. Three years later after "Crazy Eyes" it's like he aged a decade or more. Time can be an asshole.
kids
He looks great
The screaming starts with his band or the guys he hired to back him up live they get paid nothing. Hey man nice check, NOT.
It's amazing how irrelevant Filter is. Not even a single Roling Stone article on the new album.
+Pete Agassi wow thats sad
augmentedreality The big no-talent stars.
Adam Blister everyone knows a Rolling Stone article isn't credible. That magazine is a joke. However, many people do realize that Richard Patrick is a freaking legend. I've always wanted another Army of Anyone album
Adam Blister Rolling Stone is a puppet of the deep state.
Gee, I always let Rolling Stone be the qualifier for my musical taste.
They need to stick to music. Not very good at interviews! Lol
He's kinda irrelevant
+violationoftheart 2's company.
Hey turns out there was music before 2010....try it sometimes
... and you are?
Lol.. need not necessarily be relevant to you. Because you aren’t relevant to anyone
porag buragohain apparently I am to you bitch replying a comment from 3 years ago lol what an idiot
