•••Common question I get••••
[ Does he heat the bento or eat it cold? ]
My husband eats the bento at room temperature. That is natural things for us. but I know many people (also Japanese) wanna heat it. so I recommend you to use the lunch box that is fine for microwave, if you wanna heat it ;)
So far, he never upset his stomach after eating the bento:)
---------------------
[About the bento box]
The bento box is my mom send me from Japan. If you interested in the bento box, please check Amazon Japan ( Japanese one has many choices(design, size) . need to change language setting from the menubar )
••• my husband’s bento box •••
Name/ 「Wooden bento box」 or 「Wappa bento box」
Size/ Small
(The size is important to arrange your amount of food. In my husband case...he doesn’t wanna eat too much at his work. I wanna pack the side dishes tightly because he put on his backpack when he get work. We don’t the dishes wanna act up that’s why small size for him.)
How I treat the wooden box/
1. Wash (ours is urethane coating so I use soap)
2. Wipe up wet part with a towel
3. Dry naturally
( The wood don’t go well with water. When my husband can’t wash and dry naturally it at work, just wipe up in the box and bring home. ( and I treat lol )
I learn that’s better rather than wash and put it in backpack soon.)

@@xavier9870 Hi welcome to 2021 sir 😊
The dislikes are her husbands coworkers because they’re jealous
Or western women/wives LOL
@@topherh5093 no way us western women are here to learn her skills lol
@@Takobella Yeah no kidding:)
that is very true
Best comment ever!!!
Am I the only one who felt relax whenever I watch her videos?
I thought I was the only that feel so
Same dude , it just comfortable watching her vid
Me tooo much relaxing ❤️
Not me, tired just by watching what this lady has to do for hubby lunch 😬
@@tinang5999 then why are you here scrolling through comments 😅
I aspire to cook like this
Same
@@r.t.6106 it's definitely delicious but not healthy. she fries and eats meat and processed meat almost every day. vegetables are always in there but in very small quantity and she often put 2-3 sources of protein together (meat + meat, meat + fish, meat + egg etc.)
@@Elliotohyeah some people eat to live , others live to eat
@@mongobongo3338 One can live to eat and be careful/balanced at the same time i think. Trust me i love food so much! I only commented cause as much as i like her bentos, a lot of people under every video say it's healthy and it's pretty concerning like If this is healthy to you what on earth are you feeding yourself everyday
@@Elliotohyeah The Japanese diet is considered to be one of the healthiest in the world, and for that reason the Japanese have an average life expectancy far greater than the western world. Just saying.
When my mom cooks, I usually get to eat the food she's chopping. When you were chopping the vegetables, I just wanted to grab the carrot right from the screen. 😂
Hahahahahahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When my grandma or my mom chops up fishball or fishcake, I always take one
what i like about this is that she use normal cooking tools with normal ingredient, no need for blender or anything strange, knife and frying pan are enough
So true
What's so strange about a blender?
@@feathersong5838 Not everyone can afford one... I'm a student and i would rather nor have to buy one in order to make delicious recipes... There is nothing wrong with a blender, it's just not for everyone
@@feathersong5838 a lot of people (including me) don’t have a blender, blenders are also super expensive and not everyone can afford it, a pan and I knife is something everyone has
@@miniko_artsy Where I'm from you can get blenders pretty darn cheap. Not the best, but they get the job done. I like making smoothies.
To the one person who disliked the video, do you need a hug?
They probably are just mad that they can't have any. Or bots.
They need a loving mom in their lives.
@@littlebear5394 probably. Because remember folks, a home cooked meal is a meal filled with love ❤️
@@lamcb.9476 so true❤️
No they’re just hangry like I am watching this lol wishing someone made me a bento 😂😉
15:33 when she moved your hand out of the way so that she can do it LOL that was so adorable 🥺
Thought so, too ❤😍 my little godchild and her brother (2 & 4) are the same and I learned that in this moment it's important to let them do and just offer help if necessary 😊😉

1 month ago we found this channel with my girlfriend and since then we cant wait to make each other bentos. God bless the channel
Interestingly, I don't eat meat but I still check every single video on this channel. Thank you Imamu for sharing a bit of your life in the kitchen, it's so relaxing and inspiring! Cheers from Montreal :)
Same! Sometimes I find the meat cooking part a little disgusting but otherways these videos are so relaxing to watch.
Same!
Sameee
I’m vegan and I’m honestly addicted to her videos haha. I find it quite relaxing
So much of Japanese food in America is just sushi, but I have learned so much about how much variety is in Japanese food from you! You've inspired me to make so many new dishes!
Raptor Rachel yea everyone in america thinks Japan is just sushi and ramen, when it’s so much more.
@@iminmissouri8589 i guess im not american-
m u r o m i Obviously not everyone🙄 I’m also American myself😂.
With asian markets in the area where I live I wanna get the ingredients to make some of these for my husbands bento. 😁
I’m American and this is not true, you just have to not be ignorant and have a curiosity for different cultures/cuisines.
why is watching a stranger on the other side of the world preparing bentos for their husband so wholesome and heartwarming 🥺 and the clips w the child 😭 esp, the one eating together at the end 😪♥
Me: has a bad day and exhausting day
Imamu: Oi, let me help you out
So excited for the husbentos!
Aww! The baby helping pack daddy's lunch at the end! So cute!
Me: *can't flip eggs with spatula*
Imamu: *flips eggs with chopsticks*
Me: *very impressed*
Two years gone, but maybe that's the trick. lol Firm hold on both ends.
I can’t help but smile every time she says “Husbento” :)

0:49 "boil them to get rid of the scum"
is a mighty sentence you can say as a reference. Since the listener prolly don't know whether you want to cook him a delicious meal or a murder lol
😂😂😂
I loved when she said “tender meat is pricy but my husband and me live to eat”. This is literally me and my husband.. 😳 ❤️
If you can afford it, I think that should be everyone's goal. 🙂
Most meats that are a bit hard have a lot of fat so its best to try finding a way to tenderize the steak than buy exspensive steaks
I'm from Malaysia and I want to tell you that your cooking is beautiful and full of love, it inspires me to make better and more comforting food for my girlfriend!

i love cooking ❤️❤️👍👍❤️❤️
Love the "we live to eat" attitude! I like to do that as well as much as possible (still a college student now, so when I'm fulltime working, I can live even more towards that attitude haha)!
i love ❤️❤️
I used to be a eat to live person before quaratine but now I am a live to eat.
ok, but like I just love how wholesome this comment section is

I'm so jealous of your husband! He gets to eats delicious home-cooked meals lovingly prepared by his wife! I'm single and I eat cup noodle everyday that i forgot how delicious food tastes like!
use her videos then to taste good food, i’ve tried a couple and they’re rlly good and not expensive
So, yesterday i finally bought mirin, sake and soy sauce to try some of your recipes ...and today the new video comes out. I love it when life works out :)
I wish i had someone like you to make me a bento everyday
i like look ❤️❤️👍👍❤️❤️
I agree
The dedication she takes to cook for her husband every day, every week. He must taste the love in her cooking 😍
I liked it when she put the ingredients at the side.... Really easy to read when you put in many ingredients in one go

Imagine having a bad day and then finding this treasure in your lunch box
Morale in a box
Since watching you (religiously now lol) I have grown so much as a cook who loves more than just American or even Hispanic food which is my personal heritage. You are such an awesome content creator and so so appreciated Imamu!! Thank you for sharing your hard work with us
There is such an art to putting these bento boxes together, and the cooking is so inspiring :-)
All I want in life is for my knives to be as sharp as this lady’s!
buy good knives and professional grade stones, learn how to care for them. Heaps of good videos on youtube for that. I recommend how the Japanese chefs care for their blades.
my kids are going to be so lucky, cause that’s what they gotta get when I pack their lunch boxes
You can tell she's a sweet kid. Good girl helping mommy!
When we combine two words together in English, it's called a "portmanteau"--port-man-toe--(which is a French word that Lewis Carroll introduced to English with this meaning) like smog = smoke + fog :)
This just blew my mind, I never realized smog is smoke + fog, but that makes so much sense! It doesn't in my my language, we also use the word "smog" on a copy paste kind of way. Thank you random person for this piece of knowledge! :D
holy smokes, i never realized smog is a portmanteau. you just blew my mind
Actually in france most people call them "mot valise" - suitcase word.
15:58 Your child,, they were trying to grab the end and make sure it was properly tied 😭 That's adorable :>
The subtitle is so cute. This whole video makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside ✨
I love these videos. It gives me inspiration and the end result is just really pretty and it just shows that there was a lot of effort into making the bento. Everything about the video is also very relaxing. The sounds and visuals are so nice
I dont get why there people who disliked the video, this is so satisfying to watch!
I like to imagine he shows his bento boxes off to his coworkers everyday lol, I would
I know I would 😃
Lol
i was crying at the end, you're such a caring mother
“Husbento” I love it! I will hire a part-time husband just to make him husbento sometimes
My last semester exam done and i love to cook too! I'm going to cook one of your recipe during this holiday :D
Your bento videos inspired me to start cooking at home. Thank you! 😊
Not only are your videos so relaxing, artistic and so much love, you are so humble to film without showing your face. I also respect that you respect the privacy of your family.
I love when you translate what your daughter is saying to you. It's adorable, and like seeing a little slice of your life.
I look forward to your videos every week! You are so wonderful.
Am I the only one or does these videos Husbento lunches give off Cooking Mama vibes? ... 🤔🤭
I was thinking that too
Something so comforting about these videos...I bet your family feels so loved and cared for!
I absolutely love your personality!!! I can hear the expressions on the text, it makes me feel like a friend watching you cook✨✨ very comforting!
Imamu is umami spelled backwards. Everything looks great!
Here in my country ( Phil.), Imamu means Your Mother. A Kapampangan dialect.
Imamu: Let's survive another week
Me: Darling, we don't want you to survive... We want you to live! TO LIVE!
Seems to be a saying
I love seeing your daughter and the little interactions you have eating food together 🥰
I adore how helpful your daughter is....she wants to learn and help you do many things 💞 So cute!!
She copped the mushroom to the beat so satisfying
Feeling warm to watch this. I am missing my mom cooked food actually.
I love your creativity in the kitchen and appreciated the addition the additional captions with directions about what you’re doing! 😊
watching your videos feels like sitting in the kitchen while mom makes dinner. i’m so soothed and comforted rn. thank you.
I love your videos, so inspiring ! Keep going ❤️
Time to get distracted from work and get hungry!
I feel that
You are a prolific cook. I quake at the idea of planning 2 weekend meals for my family and here you do it from scratch every day. Hats off to you! Please consider writing a cookbook and including your tips for meal planning. I'd buy it in a second!
These are great recieps. Such a good spouse. Me and my husband swap meal making for our family. Its such a heart warming thing to make a meal for someone you love!
Me in my head: “I have yet to meet a man I’d do this for.”
Me: nice
“husbento” how freaking cute 🥺 i hope i’ll be in the same position in the future
This has become my new favourite channel. So pure and sweet... You can clearly see she just cooks with love and films it by the way, not the opposite like most youtubers do. Not even once she asked to subscribe or like ♥️
Your week work lunch boxes inspired me, I've been making wonderful lunches for him based on your menu's!!!! Thanks you so much & keep them coming.
I'm sorry but your little musume (daughter) needs more screentime she's just...so... very adorable 😭😭😭❤️
I always look forward to these ʕ·ᴥ· ʔ
Your videos are so wholesome and good. It's so fun to see what people are eating for meals in other cultures. Makes me want to try and make some of these recipes.
All of this weeks meals look so good, it makes me so hungry!! The pork cutlet sandwich and the corn and cheese pancakes especially 😍😋
hi there great to see your new vlog ❤️
I like how you said “let’s survive another week” like you were living very miserably. When in reality it looks like your living in heaven. 😂
She's probably too busy taking care of her husband, her kid, her home, her in-laws, and maybe her career.
It's probably more optimistic, generally she pairs it with "let's do our best" which is a common Japanese saying. I assume both phrases are English translations of Japanese phrases.
It's good to spend a little more on delicious ingredients every now and then! 👍 I'm enjoying all your videos and getting inspiration from the yummy things you make!
Its the most relaxing thing for me, to watch your cooking videos and it also helps me encourage my creativity when it comes to cooking
I love watching these videos! Hoping one day I get to do this for someone!

I always look forward to watching your videos every week! They're so calming and inspiring
So much love and creativity in these husbentos. 💗 I'm so in love with Japanese food.
The modern western man will never know this luxury.
That's silly
I hope that I'll one day be a good enough man to marry a woman who'd do this for me. Your husband is very blessed. He must feel your affection in every meal you make.
Or... become a good enough man that would consider doing this for his wife???
Watching you cook inspired me to start cooking my boyfriends lunches, it's been a lot of fun so far trying to find new recipes and new ways to cook things! It brightens his day at work too 😊❤️
I love watching your videos and appreciate how hard you work on those everyday. After watching several in a row, I noticed that a lot of the bento have fried elements. It amazes me your variety.
Hope you have a great day
I wanna learn to cook like this for my boyfriend/ future husband 🥰
These videos are so relaxing 💙😍 I am currently feeling a bit down, not wanting to do anything at all. Watching these videos is honestly calming and peaceful :)
I love watching your videos esp when I’m cooking and/or cleaning 💜💜💜💜

Can we see your husbands belly! I’m so curious how he eats that and isn’t a sumo wrestler??
Thank you so much for telling us what it is you are preparing and why you cook it a certain way!! Some of the items are unfamiliar to me so it becomes an education in food!! Wishing you the happiest of holidays and stay safe! Love from South Carolina, USA!!🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️😋😋🥰🥰
This is so awesome, I love it. No bullshit, no talking, just nice music and amazing relaxed cooking. thank you!
Your videos are delightful! I learn so much and look forward to watching this every day while I work out! 🤣 (incentive to push my body hard so I can eat more yummy food.) Sometimes your chopping lines up with the beat of the music and the speed of my treadmill and it keeps me going. 💪🏼
