I think It would be cooler if the transformations appeared if you chose the character, just like budokai 3
I'm assuming it will be different in the full game they said in previous demos that this character select wasn't final.

nah the best was tenkaichi 2, hover over the character and press R1/L1 to switch forms, the bt3 style would be atrocious on this menu as it would just keep replacing the entire select screen with 2-4 portraits of the forms and that's it.

All I can say is 'bet'. I'll still get the game but this is really the only major complaint I have.
@@Fkzueirim if I remember correctly, I think the devs said that this is only for the demos. The actual game will have a character select screen similar to Tenkaichi 3

@@Hagersenyeah you’re right they will but it’s still silly to have the transformations fill up a space. It does feel like they chose to fill out the roster in a lazy way when they could’ve just added characters that have never been playable before. I’m still excited for the game tho

here's something interesting: if you look closely, you'll notice SS Gogeta in japanese is called Super Saiyan Gogeta, which matches with how he's been named in games like DB Legends and Dokkan Battle... when you look at Z Gogeta he's called Super Gogeta (matching with Super Vegito) and NOT "Super Saiyan Gogeta", the character design is also different enough between the two versions, plus GT Gogeta also exists, that it being only in english doesn't disqualify the idea of Z Gogeta being a thing in this game

@@xacottage Yeah but Tien would probably have a similar moveset across Z and Super. Meanwhile Z Trunks and DBD Trunks can have pretty varied movesets. Base Trunks looks like he has a moveset for Z Trunks, while SSJ Trunks looks more like DBS. There's not even any Super Trunks in there, and he doesn't have a sword so he'd have to have completely different animations and can't just be a costume.

Why they put all these characters in the same screen? Like Goku(Z) then Goku(Z) ssj1, Goku(Z) ssj2, Goku(Z) ssj3, just put them in the transformation info like the old BT games.. that makes this selection screen so ugly bruh, a lot of characters but they're just transformations for someone

It's been stated that this isn't the final character screen, it's just of demo purposes. They aren't going to have 164 characters in a menu like this on full release, it would take too long to scroll down.

@@shulk4572 they change stuff literally everytime we see this game i keep up with this all the time theyve changed hella niche shit including: vegeta god blasts fingers looked weird ash, ssj3 goku has both eyes show in dragon fist instead of 1 also the obvious face change, beam struggles, gokus ssj hair(like 3 times) this will also obviusly be one of them it won't change that much because they clearly like u being able to line up your characters on the stage. Theyll probably just combine characters forms and fix the order but if u dont like the super color pallette thats you i barely see this complaint ts looks good

I think that Gogeta and Broly being deliberately categorized by their (Super) Versions is reasonable enough cause to believe their Z counterparts will indeed be DLC (other than the fact that they’re also wildly popular) My question is just how many of the movie cast are we getting? And if the characters will be sold individually or in packs. Cause paying $10 each time for an additional 20+ characters does indeed sound unappealing.
@@JohnGlow2 characters will be sold in packs. The first season pass will include 3 DLCs with a total of 20+ chs, so I guess the other DLCs will be the same.

I don't know man, if 10$ gets you 20 characters, I think that's a pretty good deal actually - even if some of those 20 are inevitably going to be transformations. I'm actually worried that it'll be more than that lol

I really hope they do an update where the character Selection screen is shorted by base characters. Where you pick the base form and then choose to what form you want to play as from that character, because they can add so many other characters to this game

I'm sorry - I liked Budokai bc of the huge number of characters, but picking 3 or 4 identical Gokus based on which time the the story takes place just feels dumb. Give me in-game transformations, or come up with some plot BS like Dragonball FighterZ that lets most of the characters be more-or-less similar power levels

I like how Mr Satan drops down from the top of the screen like some of the fighters, implying he can fly when he can't or as if he jumped from somewhere high. It would've been funnier if he just walked in from off screen.
Honestly, I feel like different "era's" (early, mid, late, etc) of the same character should've had a condensed selection menu like the different skins selector in smash and every era's version has like a moveset highlighting their best moves for that era... This just looks clunky with 10 different Gokus and Vegetas...

They played it safe with many of their movests instead of improving upon BT3 and giving them their Raging Blast techniques.

For the people complaining about the super attacks, i think all characters will have unlockable supers more or less depending on the character.
I just hope that this isnt the final character selection and why tf does goku super doesnt have acces to ssj2 and 3, i see the logic behind that but i dont like it

The coolest part of it was seeing dudes like Tapion and Grandpa Gohan fighting. Blows my mind that this game was announced to have 164 characters and then like 1/3 of that is Goku and Vegeta. That's not separate characters, guys, especially not when you can transform into the other "characters". Got y'all fooled.
