70817 Longport to Hull and return (ballast), 24th & 25th July 2023 around Hull, 'Warts and All'

A 'Warts and All' look at 70817 on the 4Z35 / 6Z36 Longport to Hull, Kingston Bulk Terminal (Hull Docks) and return loaded ballast on Monday and Tuesday 24th / 25th July 2023.

just catching up with your vids Tony..love 'em especially as I live on Spring Bank West right behind the bridge at Ideal! just getting back into freight trains after a long absence...really like the docks line , sadly little used after it was upgraded, but a great document to Hull's rail history :)

Great to hear from you Martin and thanks for the kind comments. Unfortunately it's a bit slow around Hull at the moment for freight. The Railhead treatment trains have boosted things a bit for the last few weeks - but there are rumours abound that this year could be the last ;-(
I do have some old footage on here from the early 90s taken up on the embankments at Spring Bank, Ella Street and Boothferry Park.

Thanks Ben - unfortunately never managed a sunny shot though although came close. The same working ran this week too but with a 66 and due to work and weather never managed to get out.
