At the Kia dealership I work at we've only sold two EVs and the customers complained that the advertised range and charging times are no where near what they advertise.
Let us not forget how much it will cost to install the charging system at the housing projects. Let us no forget how much it will cost to install at all the houses, businesses, parks and all over. Let us not forget how much it cost to mine the lithium. Let us not forget that this is a major FCK UP running this country. Pretty dam sad.

The cost of a battery for these electric cars will cost more than a new refrigerator! Unless you are middle to upper income you can't afford these. We don't have the infrastructure to support all these EVs. Neither will the bridges!

Electric vehicles are to expensive and dangerous. Why aren't the climate activist protesting 😂 the batteries in these vehicles are going to create massive pollution due to the batteries. What are they going to do to dispose of them? The batteries go bad and you have to replace them. Not to mention the cost of battery replacement is astronomical also.

The best car I ever had was a Stick Shift, No Chip 1979 Toyota Tercel. I kept it for 19 years and sold it for $800. It had Air Conditioning and carpet on the floor. Maintenance was an oil change and windshield wipers. Today's cars cost more than my first house!!!
The electric power industry doesn't have the generating capacity to supply the charging power for electric vehicles and at the same time these new AI data centers that are going to be springing up across the country.

While forced market adoption is bad, battery powered cars reduces the cost of ownership regardless of price parity due to fuel savings and lower maintenance costs. Add to that the downward spiraling cost of batteries and combustion powered cars can no longer compete on the basis of economy. In addition, EVs prices are falling worldwide and are approaching average car msrp in many markets.
Until you have to replace the battery system , which cost slightly more than the car !!!

I live near the Tesla plant where they just laid off like 3,000 people. from the freeway you can see several hundred Teslas in a parking lot next to the plant, around the corner at the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station there are several hundred more. I don't think they are moving as they are supposed to.

I could never imagine that a battery could power a vehicle that weighs ~4,000 lbs, let alone getting around 250+ miles. In addition, some are using sodium(salt) instead of Lithium for batteries.
