    My daughter is a Canada citizen and I have been to Canada five times. Commentary is absolutely spot on. Main motivation for moving to Canada should be clean environment, good services, great infrastructure and lovely people. But be prepared to work hard as it is very very costly to hire help.

    Unfortunately, Healthcare here sucks and lot of waiting. Hospitals and govt offices are Crowded, nothing works on time here, very slow. But you can come for a strong passport. Housing crisis is a lot. People are nice to you but they are not helpful. You are on your own at times. All you need to know is you can come here for an experience, beautiful places and clean air. Of course beautiful places and clean air is available in many asian countries, unless if you are from New Delhi. Also, Salary depends on your domain. Fact of the matter is few people are leaving Canada after getting citizenship.

    He was asking about moving in current economic conditions, especially since he already has a high-paying job in India. I faced the same dilemma and ended up doing a soft landing. I was not willing to switch jobs during an economic slowdown like this. A lot of companies have stopped hiring and many are laying employees off. I would suggest he does the same. I will probably move in mid or late 2023, depending on the economic conditions at that time. Also, I just paid my advance income tax in India and realized that I would have paid less income taxes in Canada at same salary. 😂😭

    • @AskKubeir
      @AskKubeir  Před rokem

      The point is the same whether it is moving during a slow down or otherwise. If you are earning well and can afford creature comforts you need to do a thorough research to understand the lifestyle Canada offers and the price you have to pay for it.

    • @Snatch_184
      @Snatch_184 Před rokem +2

      I will have to respectfully disagree here. A move like this during a recession will make no financial sense. The situation is simply different. He already has his PR, he can easily wait this out while building his savings, or conserving it even if he, God Forbids, loses his job in India. I am not being negative, I loved every second of the two weeks I spent in Canada, and I will happily go back once the situation improves. BTW, this IMO applies to only high net worth individuals in India, others shouldn't worry too much about it.

    I have seen applicants asking this same question after receiving COPR and after a soft landing. My humble question is, this is a process that entails lots of mental stress and stuffs like that. If you are to ask such questions after achieving the goal then why applying in the process in the first place?

      Well people can have questions at any stage.
      This question becomes a bigger stress and more real when they come closer to actually making the move.
      Everything before this was paperwork and processing and that can take time and it distracts you from the fear of having to now move out of your comfort zone.

    Hi
    Asking for a friend !
    I just have a question.
    I created my EE profile in Feb 22 at CRS 481. I was about to get married in May 2022 and my consultant while creating the profile mentioned me as married.
    Now since he has put a wrong date, I want to change the date of marriage to actuals i.e May 2022. What are the apprehensions?

    In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.
    Their are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.
