I’m glad it worked out and no Dads were fired in the course of this game. 🙂 I’m really enjoying the family members getting in on the action. They’ve all been fun but Bronny and Momma are going to be hard to top because that was just the sweetest interaction.

One rule that needs to be added to showdown rounds- No Intentional walks. Just to make it obvious that move is off the table to easily get out of your defensive round. The players could simply go stand at Homeplate and touch the ball seven times quickly and then tag out the runner.
There’s only ever 1 fielder in showdowns and the sprint rule is different. I’ve only seen it once so I don’t remember all the details but it’s called a chase. On ball 4 the runner takes off and the pitcher has to get the ball from the catcher along the 1st base line, he then runs from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to past 3rd base. He has to be between 3rd and home before he can throw the ball back to the catcher to try to get the runner. It’s really interesting depending on how fast the runner and the pitcher are.
