Love your channel! My wife and I may be getting a Maltipoo this weekend. Both of us have not had a dog since we were little kids and now we are in our 50's! Should be an awesome experience for sure.

I have a question, when you and your family leave home and can't take Rosco, where do they leave him? in his small cage or in his play pen? We take our girl out between 6-7 am when she wakes up (she sleeps with us by the way), but she's NEVER in a cage unless she does something bad & that's just for a short while! These dogs definitely don't like being in a jail, they will grieve so much that's why their eyes are brown!

We rung the bell every time we took him out to go potty, and eventually he began to understand that the bell meant going outside and started to ring it when he had to go.

Hi Julia. me and my family are looking into getting a maltipoo. but I have a question to ask...how often do you feed Rosco and how much do you give him each meal? thank you so much for taking the time to read this and have a great day or night.
We tend to leave a full bowl of dog food out for Rosco all day since he never eats more than his fill. It's easier for us that way and Rosco can eat when he feels hungry, usually around twice per day. Since we don't measure his dog food, I'm not exactly sure how much he eats, but I'd guess around 1/4 cup.

How long did it take Rosco to learn to ring the bell when he has to go potty? Was that a difficult task?
It took him a couple weeks to learn. It wasn’t too hard teach him - we just rung the bell whenever we took him outside and he started to associate ringing the with going potty.
@@DelightfulPaws it's a maltipoo. they can literally learn anything at all if you take some time to teach them it lmao. doesn't take long either for maltipoos to learn because they are one of the smartest dog breeds :) even if you don't teach them anything, they were born to love you naturally and they are extreeemely good at that. :)
@@benisbenises3410 Maltipoos are a mixed breed. Maltese dogs aren’t that smart but they will absolutely do anything to please their human and so they’re pretty easy to train. Poodles are suuuper smart, they’re ranked 2nd on the Canine intelligence scale. So combining those two, you get a pretty smart little dog who wants to please their human.

I remember looking at Maltipoos for sale before we got Rosco thinking the same thing!
Dey got me for free (We got her for free), I know it’s hard to find a good dog that’s affordable, I was in love with this $4000 goldendoodle, My parents said the same thing but you’ll find the right dog soon, trust me, And I know you think that that’s 100% the right one for you, And I’m not saying that that’s not the case but you will find a good puppy for you and once you are a dog mom (or dad) you won’t see any imperfections in your baby and you’ll think and know, That truly the one that you got will be perfect no matter what.

He is cute. We are considering getting a maltipoo and this is our first time. How many hours have you tried leaving him home alone? Our work requires us to be away for over 8 hours. What has been your experience?
We haven’t left him alone for more than 2 hours, mainly because we have just been home all day lately. Maltipoos are very sociable dogs, and we find that Rosco is always begging for attention.
@@DelightfulPaws when u leave him home alone, does he eat the couch or ruin the house or anything? I’m considering getting one

I've only ever had a Maltipoo, so I'm not too sure :) It's really up to you!
I would love a maltipoo but sadly in the UK they are ridiculous price , if I lived in Uda I could afford one makes me sad
probably for the same price you can get on in the east coast of US/Canada and pick it up yourself :)
How do you train rasco to ring the bell when he needs to go to the toilet?
We just rung the bell repeatedly every time we took him out to go an eventually he associated the bell with going to the bathroom and started to ring it himself.

He generally eats the same food. We sometimes mix up the flavor or spice it up with some chicken broth. He also gets treats like boiled chicken and sweet potato.

Yes, we lock his crate at night.
Why dont you let him stay in a gated room at night ..the crate is too small for him

I agree! :) We only use a crate at nighttime and Rosco willingly sleeps in there. This morning he didn’t want to come out!
