I admire dancers because it is a difficult work, with a lot of sacrifices and underpaid. I wouldn't be able to do it like other people and only for that, we should respect them

Yo el día de la final les dije a mis amigos que cualquiera de los 4 favoritos en la final: Rigo, Chanel, Tanxugueiras y Rayden cualquiera me servía para ir a Turín d verdad porque este año había muchísima más calidad que otros años y una RTVE dispuesta a todo. I didnt know Chanel was unknown. I really thought she was a super famous singer from Spain. After seeing this video i really think you guys deserve all the succes. It was so so good. And THE DANCERSSS THEEEEE DAAAANCERS. So incredible. Please stay a team for a long time man.

Desgraciadamente le robaron a Channel la oportunidad de ganar eurovision y todo el mundo lo sabe. Ucraniana no debió ganar, porque no tenia algo original e incluso tenia casi el mismo ritmo que una canción de Ucrania de un año anterior. Tenia todo para ganar una canción preciosa, corogreografias uuuf, vestuario increibles, una intérprete apasionada y arrasadora. Para muchos Channel tu siempre será nuestra ganadora del 2022.

Europe loves Chanel not matter who won Eurovision. My country (Greece) plays the song all the time and we voted it. We still talk about how mesmerising she was.
17:59 I would like to say something about this, because in Spain, for years we've been taking Eurovision as a joke (generally speaking), because the thrill simply wasn't there, but with Slomo, Chanel and all the crew, we've felt it again, I can't even remember the last time, Spanish people were glued to the TV as a country for Eurovision, but this year everything was so exciting and every 12 points were celebrated as a football world cup goal. Thank you so much, because in all these moments we're living, we also need good music and performances to cheer us up and enjoy even if it's just three minutes!

Who would've thought she's never performed on almost any stage before. She's beyond professional, I'm so glad she was in the top 3 and that Serbian televote gave her 10 points ❤
What Sinosuke Nohara doesn't tell you is that other participants were highly politized, one supported by the radical left and another one by the nationalists; so in no way they were "Spain's choices" over Chanel, because he also forgets to say that 192000 votes don't represent "Spain" and that low percentage going to Chanel explains what they are saying in this video, that Chanel had no public support because she was relatively unknown while others had their own platforms supporting them. He of course also forgets to say that everyone who criticized Chanel changed their tune once she killed it in Eurovision.

Chanel was clearly the best option and that's why she was chosen by the experts and a group of selected people, and not the 25% of the politized public, thanks god.

The popular vote was only a 25% of the final vote, and Chanel had barely any support there because she had not a political platform supporting her; in the other 25% public vote using a sample of population, which was the correct way to address the real support, she was one of the most voted. She won because the panel of experts vote (50%) gave her the edge, its not really difficult to understand.

I'm from Ecuador, and I started watching Eurovision in 2002. Because of the language connection, Spain has always been my emotional favourite. And this year, after 20 years, I finally saw them reach the top 3. It was incredible and thrilling, thank you for giving us that!!

In my opinion the success of a Eurovision song is not defined by what position is going to get in the finals, but on how much impact it has, so that you can listen and watch it over and over again after the competition ends. The fact that you guys took an unnamed artist and took her and put her against all these other artists with MILLIONS of followers already and got top 3 is incredible. Let’s not ignore the fact that the UK’s artist is extremely popular and well known so he already had a positive opinion in the minds of many judges and viewers and that Ukraine’s win was at least somewhat impacted by recent news (which that is no shade towards them. They did a fantastic job and I’m so glad to see the people unite around them and support them during this hard time for them). The fact that you managed to get in the top three with those two powerhouses shows your skill, talent, and dedication
Why is it incredible? That is what Eurovision is, some countries hold/ held casting shows for the artists and nobody knows them as well. Not in their own country and definitely not in other countries. They did a good job, but I don't know where they "made history".

@@natsm.9287 "Since 1995" means Spain placed as high or higher before. And they placed second and first before, almost placing as high as other Spanish artists is not making history. A great accomplishment, but not making history. The scoring system changed that is why there are more points to go around in total, you would need to compare percentage for Spain, and of course other countries got more points. Yes they went viral, and so did others, not to mention that the millions of subscribers/ viewers on this channel are not bad for the algorithm to suggest it to more people.
They accomplished something great, but I don't see where they made history, especially "at Eurovision" total.

I am from the UK and watch Eurovision every year and LOVED Spain this year - makes so much sense now to see that Kyle was behind the choreography! So impressive that Chanel was able to so such a high energy dance and sing so beautifully at the same time! That training routine of high heels and singing on a treadmill must have been intense! Also shout out to whoever was behind designing those outfits!!

Never experienced something like this at Eurovision ever. You brought the whole audience with you, before, during and after the event. It’s was so emotional. Pure class, talent and joy in one performance. This will never be topped in Eurovision again. So glad Spain are the ones because they deserved it.
That performance is going to be everyone's mind for years and years. I remember even the king of Spain sent a letter to the team. Congrats to the whole team!
As a Spaniard I had lost hope of ever seeing my country really AT Eurovision. In past years we just participated but were kind of forgotten before and even during the Festival.
Seeing Spain really present at Eurovision for once, witnessing the expectation from Eurofans from other countries and experiencing a voting were Spain was not just collecting scraps (the 1s and 2s) has meant everything to me. The final position is not that important for me, i only hope that in years to come we can keep our presence at Eurovision. So a huge THANK YOU for your hard work, your resistance on the hard times and your focus.

@@ECrisRqueR bueno, obvio que tiene que tener su beneficio, ser promocionado internacionalmente es bastante para un artista nuevo, así que con gusto van, ciertamente Chanel al ser la promocionada obviamente es la principal beneficiada, al igual que sus productores, pero no sabemos la situación de sus bailarines, no es que todo el tiempo vayan a estar con ella tal vez es solo promoción para ellos o fue un pago único por el concurso de benirdorm y al clasificar pues igualmente fueron a representar a España, más eso sigue sin implicar un pago 🙄, sinceramente no sé porqué evidenciar las falencias en un sector es tan malo, siendo hija de bailarines aprecio ese gesto, el arte y el deporte pueden ser tan complicados, falta mucho apoyo, es la realidad u.u

Por otro lado, entiendo a lo que te refieres, entiendo lo que te molesta de esto, lo del mkt, etc; particularmente a mi también me da un tick ver gente grabandose dando dinero, sin embargo, es cuestión de percepciones a mucha gente parece no incomodarle, pero en este caso en particular rescato mucho el hecho de como pone en evidencia las falencias de un sector, es un tontería ya, pero era común en mi familia dedicarse a la danza y el deporte y mucha gente desde fuera observa que ganes o caigas pero no todo el transfondo y lo sufrido que es eso, falta demasiado apoyo y llega un punto en que sientes que es tan injusto dar tanto de ti y se sienta tan poco valorado, pues para el público es fácil críticar, que por ejemplo no lograras una marca o ganaras un campeonato, ya que siempre se espera eso de ti, pero no se sabe todas las injusticias por las que pasas; sin ir muy lejos yo llegue a detestar a la selección de voley de mi país por todo lo que le hicieron a mi hna y sin embargo para el resto de mi país esa selección es tan idolotrada que es tan difícil y frustante que no sepan la realidad de lo corrupta que es y lo mucho que sufren las chicas.
Así que para mi el hecho de que se sepa esa verdad me alegra, como dije, es una tontería, pero al recibir esa extra, que ellos se emocionaran hasta las lágrimas dice mucho, si las cosas estuvieran mejor se podría haber esperado una reacción diferente y es bueno se sepa, sí es verdad, se pudo manejar con el hecho de simplemente mencionarlo, pero esa escena transmitió más de esa forma, tanta emoción denota lo mal que va la cosa y sería bueno que alguien se animara a realizar un documental contando el transfondo de los bailarines en la industria.
Por último reitero, entiendo bien lo de "para el productor quedar bien, etc"... que es algo burdo para muchos el como se manejo, pero también "una imágen vale más que mil palabras" no? y esa reacción transmitió tanto alivio y agradecimiento que creo que a muchos les quedará más eso en la mente, que las cosas en esa industria van realmente mal y con la pandemia ese sector fue tan golpeado, debió ser muy difícil u.u. Simplemente ya no te esponjes viviras más, burdo para ti, pero el dar muestra de que así van los cosas es un alivió para muchos que estan de ese lado, el poder decir las "cosas van mal" tanto que un pequeño gesto los hace sentir reconocidos, hay mucha gente que se lo guarda pero en el fondo siempre espera que las cosas cambien y esa ha sido la reacción en muchos, más que "el productor quedara bien", al menos lo noto por lo que escribió la chica de este post que estamos invadiendo 😅

The performance of SloMo on Eurovision is the definition of perfection. I watch it everyday multiple times and it makes me forget my problems. I'm also a dancer and I try to learn the Choreo as good as possible. I just die of getting chills everytime I see Chanel and the dancers perform that beautiful song. Especially the dance break + the part after it with her perfect adlib/belt and dance.

In previous years we never sided with our own country because the song, as you perfectly said, was a ballad or simply dull. This year was different. For the first time in years when we saw 12 points we literally jumped from our sofas, cheering and screaming. Chanel brought back the hype that was lost.

I watched the Benidorm fest with a bunch of spanish people (i‘m from switzerland but my bf is spanish) and they all rooted for Rigoberta Bandini, and i liked her song aswell. But when i saw chanel‘s performance i was immediately IN LOVE! 😍😍
When she won i was soo excited and i told everyone they should calm down and that Chanel is going to do really well 100%. And look here, she almost won and she got everyone‘s hearts at the end. I‘m soo proud of her and i don‘t know if i ever get over this Performance and that she sadly didn’t win. Eu não conhecia o Eurovision, infelizmente também não é tão conhecido no Brasil e foi o primeiro ano que acompanhei. Como alguém que estuda o castellano sozinha, construí o hábito de escutar rádio da Espanha (mais precisamente a Cadena SER) e na segunda-feira pós Benidorm Fest só se comentava da polêmica vitória e escutei coisas bem incômodas. Resolvi buscar no CZcams para entender melhor a polêmica e eu não conseguia acreditar que uma artista tão potente e completa como a que eu estava vendo recebesse palavras tão duras. Busquei por ela nas redes sociais e foi uma paixão instantânea!
Foi lindo acompanhá-la e ver que trabalhando muito e se mantendo firme no seu propósito ela conseguiu mostrar como é maravilhosa e acabou recebendo o apoio e o carinho que era merecido desde o primeiro dia! Sua força é inspiradora!
Espero que esse tenha sido o começo de uma grande jornada juntos e que a Chanel ganhe o mundo, porque ela merece muito e nós precisamos disfrutar de tudo que ela pode proporcionar com a sua arte!
