    The water pot is a "nice to have" since we can use almost anything to store our water. The XL handle is cool. We have a bunch of the standard handles and they work great. The price point is an eternal issue with GW. As eternal as their "eternal war" ;)

    Interesting the base of the handle isn’t wider, seems like it will be easier to fall over. Good point about the foam base. With plastic models that set very fast with cement, I’m not sure the assembly handle is very useful.

  • @Ridhboul
    @Ridhboul Před 5 lety

    The arms with clips would really help with light, thin big models like nighthaunts or nurgle flies wich are quite difficult to drybrush because of their thin and fragile ending at their bottom.
    Just finished some kurnoth hunters and their branches were so painful to paint without snapping.

  • @chris-m1g5r
    @chris-m1g5r Před 2 lety

    If they released the top without the paint handle then people would complain that they had to buy the normal paint handle in addition just to get a handle for it. Selling a handle with the XL top was the right choice.

    Yeah hard plastic clamps on hard plastic pieces will more often than not result in a catapult. Wrapping a bit of of tac around the piece solves that though.
    However then you get the next problem: there is a bit of flex in the arms. When you let go of the arm after bringing the piece in position, they can spring back half a mm, ripping apart your joint if the glue is not tacky enough.

      Looks like isopropanol or whitespirit. If you mean the brush soap. That's masters brush soap. You can take any brush soap. Cost about ~$2

    What a waste of plastic, both the assembly and painting handle using the same handle piece. Like you stated why not release the top sections separately? Hardly environmentally friendly. Why don't GW release a pack with one handle and interchangeable sections on the top? Tbf the water pot does look good though.

    I just use a one-time use plastic cups as they have ribbing inside and can just be thrown away when to dirty. I put them in a hard plastic thumbler for stability.. The groves between my phalanges (finger joints) for making the tip on the brush works good. Just some tips..
