    I wish Nissan would make an Xterra out of this platform

      Yes or make a Pathfinder based off this with some throwback styling from that era. Would be a great option to the 4Runner especially when it goes 4 cylinder turbo/hybrid

    I used to have a Nissan Pathfinder SE back in the day. Fully loaded. Mickey Thompsons. Full Leather. Loved that thing.

    This looks fantastic. Especially to this 48yr old who used to really want the original Hardbody back in high-school. Now, if Nissan offered this in light blue with blue interior and a pop-up sunroof it'd definitely in my garage!

    I love this so much. I don’t even want a pickup and I like this.

    My parents had an ‘88 Nissan pickup in that same red color, camper shell and carpet kit in the back so we could ride in the bed comfortably. Great truck, good on Nissan for bringing that back for us 40 something’s to reminisce over and hopefully buy up.

    Kinda cool with the old SE model rims. Funny I hated those back in the day...They grew on me.

    I love Nissan trucks and am disappointed to see them underrated. But I love this retro styled truck and I think they nailed it, especially with those retro styled square headlights and the blacked out front bumper. This is great that Nissan is doing something fun with their lineup to add some competition to Toyota.

    I owned a 1992 Nissan Hardbody 4x4; that was a great truck, barely had a scratch and the engine was amazing. KA24E

    I have a ‘95 Hardbody in my garage next to my 2nd Gen Tacoma … guess which one has the heaviest duty axles, driveline, control arms, and even has a steel bed … nope, none of those statements apply to the Tacoma … it’s the HARDBODY!!! Amazing how much heavier duty these old Nissans are than the new Toyotas.

    It _is_ called King Cab. I'd go for the base model, but there are only like 16 total nationwide King Cab S trim level, all of them being 4x4. The Hardbody wheels are nice.

    I drive a 2005 Frontier Nismo Off Road. Truly disappointed in the 3rd gen Frontier. Build quality is not there. Price is too high. They're not selling that many. Just wished they would have kept the price advantage that was the hallmark of the 2nd gen Frontier. No matter what you think of the Tacoma, it just does NOT make sense for the 3rd gen Frontier to cost MORE than a comparably trimed Tacoma ! On many Frontier forums and I'm seeing more and more posts about quality issues with the new Frontier which just come down to it not being built to high quality and ruggedness standards. Just disappointing is all... Don't really care about special editions..., would be happy with a price drop and an uptik in build quality !

    • @tipit0086
      @tipit0086 Před 11 měsíci

      @devildog5354 For sure, but the sheer number of complaints and the nature of the complaints surprise me. These are not benign complaints and not few and far between. And as for the price, Nissan just did not get it right ! New shapes and plastics don't justify a 10K jump in price !

  • @jaysworld5378

    It should have had the LED Lights & Locking Rear Diff. And it should have said Hardbody somewhere on the back. Then it would have felt more special.

    • @bigd7386
      @bigd7386 Před 11 měsíci +3

      The thing is the Hardbody never had “Hardbody” badges on it, so I think it’s true to the original not to say it. I’m sure there was internal debate about that one detail for this package.

  • @laurenzdeganos9875
    @laurenzdeganos9875 Před 11 měsíci

    I wish they would debuted one as the king cab. But I prefer the looks of the frontier as it's a good work truck design than the tacoma. As the Tacoma has gotten to be like the glitsy sports truck.

    Total complete letdown on Nissans part, Nissan just did to the Hardbody name what GM did the Blazer name.

  • @jamesstephen5694
    @jamesstephen5694 Před 11 měsíci +1

    To bad Nissan turned The Pathfinder into a mom Mobile, Nissan should have kelp that to compete with the 4Runner. They should have called that Mom Mobile something other than a "Pathfinder", cause it's not a pathfinder, it's a Citysleeker. Nissan has nothing to compete with the 4Runner.

  • @sinister184
    @sinister184 Před 11 měsíci

    I’d consider getting one if it wasn’t DI only. I’m not fing around with gummed up valves. Build quality is also NO WHERE near the 4Runner.

    The 2022 and older frontiers are better. The hood on the 2023 is so much taller you lose a lot of the view in front of you. And the center console handle grabs take away leg room and are useless.

  • @secondcreekworkshop3908
    @secondcreekworkshop3908 Před 11 měsíci

    Nissan should just sell the NP300 its made in Mexico so there is no chicken tax, at this point its the only truck Nissan makes that is capable of being an actual work truck that can be used for actual work.
