One of the guys that I graduated with took a job driving the #10 trolley. Better him than me.

Thanks for the trip through my old West Philly neighborhood. Caught a glimpse of my old house on 63rd street at :27.

I worked on these LRV trolleys for years. These are solid vehicles built by Kawasaki. They share a heritage with the broad street line cars. Probably one of the most sound purchases septa ever made. Sometimes septa management makes really good decisions when purchasing vehicles, like the 8000 to 8119 series new flyer busses. Sometimes not so much. However there not entirely brainless.

I hear loud radio music here! Apparently this seems to be a major problem on transportation systems all around the globe in every country.

Some tracks are ....but the cars themselves sway naturally

zazaranger5 I don’t think it’s the tracks, these trolleys do that all the time on the stretch between 15th and 19th and I think it’s the combination of speed (~40mph) and the suspension in these aging trolleys.

James Hartranft You have a point, but as far as I know, the LRVs such as this one are fairly new. I’d understand better if it were Rt. 15’s PTC PCC trolleys

James Hartranft Actually, I fact-checked myself. You’re right, LRV trolleys are fairly old, first being run around the 70s.
