Ammo Finders don’t require primary ammo kills, it just says that primary ammo helps you find ammo more quickly, while exotic primaries give bonus progress.
fun fact - it isn't just any random fish that's on the cirrus plaza mural, it's a soffish, an old as hell inside joke/meme from bungie. iirc it goes back to pre Halo 2, because there's a soffish sign on Zanzibar

Here's a fun tip for the wider D2 playerbase, one that I imagine most people don't know about (I've never seen someone else do this since the release of the 30th anniversary):
In Dares of Eternity when fighting the Cabal, you don't actually need to throw the orbital strike charges at the Centurions to drop their immunity shields. Their immunity shields can be damaged by the melee you get when holding the charges (the one most use simply to move faster by jump punching). Doing so allows you to get through Cabal stages much faster, as you can break multiple immunity shields with a single charge.
I should have figured that out when I figured out that Elemental Orb Relics deal elemental damage respective of their element (Crystals do this, too).
A bit of clarification here, ammo finder mods (special and heavy) will spawn a brick after 80 kills with any weapon, ability or super mixed and matched as you like.
Primary weapons as opposed to special or heavy grant 4x progress and exotic primaries grant ~4.2x progress.
Rocket sidearms also (apparently) count as primary weapons for the mod.
Special weapons are 1.05x, primaries are 4.25x, exotic primaries are 5.525x (1.3x multiplier), rocket sidearms get 4.25x, and eriannas vow has the exotic primary multiplier (1.3).
Been playing on and off since beyond light I never knew these things
Then can you please explain why many times in GM I don't see a lick of finder (glowy) ammo until often I kill the last boss or something like that? this crap perplexes and frustrates me to no end

Don't know if it was already shared but, in Altairs of sorrow, you can do a very simple sword combo to delete the wizards very fast than I don't see many people use, instead of going all in with just light attacks or just heavy attacks, you can do 2 light attacks followed by a heavy one to do an uppercut attack instead of the usual slam, if all them hit, the wizard should be dead with just those 3 swings, one breaks the shield, the second deals some damage and the uppercut should finish her off.
a little correction of that, the 2 lights aren't near enough to brake the shield it's just that the last heavy swing just kills if the previous 2 lights hit
@@zezolus maybe you're right, happens so fast I don't usually pay too much attention to it, plus, I usually don't do the wizards since I'm often on the moon to test interactions rather than actually do the event.

Some great less than obvious tips here. I found for the fire tornado on Planets you can also just hug one side of the pillar if you don't want to stand on top of it. Great stuff as always man!
Better mod to use for double-special loadouts is Special Ammo Finisher. Alternatively, Special Ammo Scavenger can help too if someone in your fireteam is running a Special Ammo Finder mod or at very least make those naturally dropped special ammo bricks to give you more ammo.
While we're at funny things your ghost does when at the tower: when you have 100 mobility and run around with your ghost out, he will turn forward so he doesn't get dizzy by the immense movement speed. Neat little detail, as i think.
Here's something you didn't know: you're wrong about the ammo finder mod requiring primary weapons to function. Primary weapons just make it function better (that is, you'll find ammo faster - exactly what it says it does), but any weapon kill counts towards the ammo drop.
I know reading is hard, but since you wanted to dunk on double-special players using Special Ammo Finder for how they "can't read" I figured it only appropriate to "no u" on this one.

I'd like to point out, regarding the comment about that pvp map and shaxx, that he loudly professes his pride in securing a pyramid ship for a crucible arena in the quest text for the new playlist.
Something else to keep in mind for #1: Don't stay on the platforms longer than you have to (kill your yellow bar and get off asap, either to the planet you have to swap or to the platform where ads spawn behind you). Not only do you get fire pillars spawning on them but you're also pincered between ads constantly; the lower floor enemies have a better angle on you and the ones that spawn behind you can surprise you. If you go to the platform where ads spawn and kill said ads, the ones on the lower floor will have a harder time shooting you.
In the Hall of Champions, you are all on the same team.

Before today I actually took pride in being one of those few destiny players that actually reads. Guess I really do belong with the crayon eaters because I never read the ammo finder text.
for the first tip, standing on the center pillar while the planet grabbing phase is going on will make the buff meter drain faster btw. make sure to hop off when the planet buff is provided so you dont accidentally shorten the mechanic phase and cause a wipe.
Alternatively, you can shoot the pyramid mode between the three middle planets to skip the remaining timer if you’re all set.

6:30 Okay alot of things in this video are often just things not "worth" fixing in a pipeline.
Might not be 100% why but, you need bullets too collied with your team mates to block bullets, so the same hitboxes are used, so while the hitbox does not hurt your team mates they're still there (i think this is why some weapons like the minator heads at one point could do DPS too allies as they were not coded as weapons in the hands of a guardian so used the hitbox without the restrictions) and the reason it probably does not start is it requires damage too start, but only a hit on a hitbox to keep it going over a damage check.
Same with things like the mods that negate dmg at a distance rather then off a type, its probably less hassle to go through an define it as melee damage for stuff or sniper damage over just "at this distance"
The emote ones the wild one too me! I assumed the finishers would just use what you had on, its really strange to me it actually does a check for what element in the emote id love to know why it does that.
I was there for the collision find! I know it’s not a big accomplishment, but seeing myself in video from a CZcamsr I enjoy made my day :)
Yo, so I got an exotic idea,
kinetic Glaive “Crisis Lance”
Perk: swift charge - charge up a lunge attack (replaces the shield function)(the longer you hold it the farther you can charge), warp forward (kinda like bakris), you can go through multiple enemies until the charge runs out.
Other perk: Perfect charge - if you end your charge as soon as you hit somthing it deals crit damage and applies the debuff applicable to your current subclass
My friends struggled most with Atraks because one of them was ride or die on the fact that tractor canon rebuffed Atraks. (It does not for those wondering)

I wouldn’t stay on top of the pillars, way easier to get shot. Just hug the pillar in the middle and the tornado misses you completely.

Also Concussive Dampener is the best, basically everything is explosive lol, would be interesting to see what is and isn't considered explosive.
I think explosive is the wrong word I think of it as splash damage, ie things that dont direct hit you that still do damage
Nah, planets was understandably easy, but SYMBOLS?? that was a pain in pantheon
a reason why the special ammo sidearms are so good is that they are the only singularity to special ammo finders. They do work with them just at very slight less efficiency.
All weapons work with ammo finder mods. Mesome just couldn’t read and dunked on other people because of it.

You can get out of bounds in the hall of heroes by jumping through any of the fans that have the chain links over em. Its not every spot on the fan but theres definitely spots to get through. Idk if theyre gonna fix it though

Don't worry, he doesn't read them either. That is to say, he's wrong about the Ammo Finders requiring Primary weapons to function. Primary weapons (and Exotic Primaries) just count for more points towards a Finder drop, but *any* weapon kill counts.
in regards to the finisher thing, this is another reason why i cant fathom that bungie removed the ability to favorite finishers. it doesnt make any sense in the first place, but the fact that finishers arent purely cosmetic and have elemental damage that triggers perks makes it even more stupid
So question about parasite. Are you just shooting that poor worm into some unsuspecting boss, watching its body splat against it, absorbing the liquid it excreted into your body, picking the worm up off the ground, and putting it back into the chamber just to do it again?
For number three: exotic primary gives a 5% chance for heavy/special to drop, 4% for just a normal primary and 1% for special weapons, so it's not impossible but just very rare

So about the Melee and Sniper Damage Resistance mods...this isn't a criticism of TDT, but I really hope people aren't actually confused by these. The descriptions very clearly state that their respective conditions are "reduces the incoming damage of combatants at point-blank range/at long distances"; if you read what it does, there's no vagueness or subtlety, which kinda tells me people are blindly assuming "Sniper means Sniper Rifle'" and "Melee means melee attack".
It's an understandable beginner tip if someone is just overwhelmed and skimming text, but if you're actually thinking about what mods to use I would sincerely hope people are doing the bare minimum of...just reading what it does.
Same goes for his take on the ammo finders. I like how he dunks on people for not reading things, then shoots himself in the foot by not reading the ammo finder description.
I'm not sure if anyone knows this yet but you can stick a gathering storm super to a whirling maelstrom tangle. I did this once completely on accident inside onslaught, I have not tried to replicate this as I assume it will be difficult but it can be done
Nonono mr TDT, this is just straight up false information you're giving out.
Heavy/Special ammo finder mods DO in fact work when using heavy/special ammo weapons to kill stuff, it just works *at a reduced rate*.
This is also what is said in the description of the mods : "Increases the drop chance of Heavy/Special ammo *on kill*.", which is then footnoted to say "Primary ammo weapon (especially exotic weapon) final blows help you find ammo "more quickly*"
There have been countless people doing research into the interaction of these mods and various weapons or loadouts which has proven time and again that they *DO WORK* on non-primary ammo weapons, just at a *REDUCED RATE*. That rate being about 1/3rd for special ammo finder or 1/5th for heavy ammo finder mods, BUT THEY STILL WORK.
I’d say special/heavy weapons work at the standard rate, but primaries (especially exotic primaries) work at a faster rate.

The ammo finder is still not clear from the text, it seems to just imply the benefit is larger when using primary ammo, doesn't explicitly say only works with primary weapons.

I love these "things you didn't know about Destiny" videos.. I do have one suggestion for an idea in a future episode.. the Warlock's jump allows you to be the fastest class on the ground, when utilizing the jump in a certain way, even without Transversive Steps. With Burst Glide as your jump (as it should be) on flat ground, jump once then right before you hit the ground, spam the jump button 4 times, repeat. So, Jump - pause - jump x4 - land & repeat.. in my near 3,000 hours I've never seen anyone else use this method of jumping nor have I seen anyone make a video about it.
... i mean thats pretty common among warlocks

@@persleng1536 I've never seen any other Warlock do that, including CZcamsrs. Everyone just double jumps and air dashes but this is still faster, until you combine both.. but this way you can be faster on other subclasses, not just Solar. Helps in PvP, to get to spots before others.
