Dagan reviews and demos the Squier Paranormal Toronado Guitar which is an increadible, cheap alterntaive to the original Fender TRoronado guitar from 1998.
This new off-set guitar from the Squier Paranormal Series is an incredible tribute to the long out of print Toronado, offerig players of al levels the chance to grab hold of a piece of history.
The comfortably-shaped Poplar body, seen here with a Black gloss finish features a sleek Maple neck, with a Slim "C" profile shape for superb playability.
The shorter, 24.75" scale length makes it easier to play whilst the string-through body bridge offers rock-solid tuning stability and spot-on intonation.
A set of two powerful humbuckers and individual volume/tone controls ensure you have the versatility and control over your sound.

Really love offset guitars and between all of them the toronado and jaguar hh are my favorite.
is it just me, or is the toronado the les-paul of fender, im away of the deluxe tele but the the tornado imo is the closes to a les-paul aesthetic wise
or SG for confornt.
I tried Toronado and Les Paul by comparaison two days ago. Not the same sound. Unfortunately. I was looking for a sounding LP but with Fender shape
@@JonadanandtheFreaks the scale length and the controls means you could get away with changing the pickups to a more les paul style as fender pickups will always sound fendery. And would probably work out cheaper than any les paul worth using

A Fender with a Les Paul scaled neck, makes it easier to play, that's all that matters, easy to play as you can pedal your sounds into what you desire
IMO this would have looked Even better with a maple fretboard along with the all black guitar

@@ck2music712 Music is a matter of tastes and what genre you play or flavor you want to add to your sound (people love Mesa/Boogie and PRS, I hate both). I owned a Marshall JCM900 in the 90s, I liked it but in the 2000s it became "old fashioned" and I got a VHT Pitbull for gigging and a Fender Twin at home. Today, I stopped using pedals, I just plug my single P90 guitar into a single channel OR15 and turn all knobs up to 11. I don't need versatility, I just play with my band my own songs and we do punk. If we all liked the same stuff, it would be boring, right? ;)
@@djsangre I agree... I'm a bit of a "dualistic" player; I LOVE a crystal clean, Fender tone, but I also LOVE Metallica and their heavier tones... And I'm a bassy player; For YEARS I gigged with an '86 Peavy Bandit 65 sittin on top of a Peavy Basic 40 BASS amp and ran 'em together... People always used to tell us how "full" we sounded for a 3 piece, lol... My practice amp is currently a lil Fender Champion 40 runnin the Blackface Princeton model for my clean, then into a Behringer 7 band EQ for a lil scoop, and I recently replaced the speaker with a 12" Eminence Swamp Thang, and the bass moves things around the house, lol... But, clean or dirty, I'm gotta have that bass, lol...
@@ck2music712 You bass players are more civilized, you definitely reached a superior level of evolution then us guitar players :D If I'd get myself a bass I'm sure I'll end up playing Motorhead with a pick...on a Precision, maybe.

I really appreciate the video, I'm a DIEHARD Squier FANATIC, but I'll be honest, just MY opinion, but I think you should've maybe used another amp to demo this one... Again, JUST my opinion, but that amp sounds boxy as hell, has virtually NO bass (listening on my Positive Grid Spark), and those clean tones just sounded TINY and lifeless... Sounds better when you crank the gain up, but it sounds almost like it's ALL mids... Please don't take that the wrong way, GREAT video, and YOU, personally were entertaining, informative, and funny! But that amp, man, lol... Especially on guitar and pedal videos, I think a nice, clean, loud amp would better showcase the products... Get yourself a Twin, mate, lol... But again, just my opinion, and thank you for a job well done!

Doesn't seem like they made many of them. Hard to find here in Canada. Managed to find a lake placid blue one on reverb so I bought it yesterday.
How do you like it? I’m not buying one, I’m just here for a tone check on the pickups because I’m looking into the new Contemporary jag.
@@nehemiahzo_ Haha. Doing the same myself. I wonder which version is coming in the Contemporary HH ST Jag; the super sonic Atomics or the Toronado Atomics? I know the Jag has the covered pups and covers make a difference, not that much but if he's saying they sound diffeent in the two models innthrbparanormal series im wondering which might come in the Jag. I ordered one today. Shipping out in May.

Depends what music you want to play
Just get the one that catches your eye the most. Music style depends on tone anyways via amp and pedals

Same here. It's a toss up between a tornado or off set tele. Both guitars are cheap so I'll be buying both instead.

Have that guitar in Lake Placid Blue. Nice guitar for the price. Not a huge fan of the “Atomic Humbuckers” or the shitty little pots. Already bought new tuners, Seymour Duncan JB for the bridge and 59 for neck. Putting in new pots (push-pull for both PU’s), switch, and output jack. Just wanna see how good I can make her sound.
Update? I’m interested in doing something similar.
@@bennetmoraleda1750 The changes made it an absolutely different guitar. All the hardware and a pro setup have made it one of my favorite go-to players. Worth the investment for sure.

to my ears fender short scale guitars sound honky especially on humbuckers. I think with short scale gibson has a better sound, with more teeth on it.
