Also if you park in a handicap spot at the supermarket and you tell the owners, they will do a callout for "The owner of the car with license plate number X to please move their vehicle or they will call the towtrucks". If you shop locally, there is a good chance that some of your neighbor's will hear that announcement and know it is you and even if there is not, you will still have to do the walk of shame to move your car.
I like the fact that you dropped that car free. Since they had already made arrangements to have it towed. That shows integrity and professionalism. God bless

Only three little problems with this line of thinking: #1 it’s an older truck with standard winch and rubber slings. #2 they had boxed the target vehicle in so it would be harder to tow. #3 I was an idiot kid with low hours on a tow rig, and fewer on after dark jobs. As an owner of a recovery company for the last 22 years, I instruct all of my recovery agents, even if it is a dispatched call, if you see someone stuck and you can pull them out easily, do it. And do not charge them. Good job.
I live in a complex on the east end of Long Island, New York, where I pay 2,000$ a month and there is NEVER any parking. They let cars sit here for months with no plates, one car went up in flames and then sat here for a month. If I come home late I have to park in front of the dumpster and come out first thing in the morning to make sure I get in a spot. I wish my complex was this diligent.
