  • This is part one, looking at artist research for GCSE, I talk about backgrounds, presentation and techniques to help your work look like the artists.
If you want to find out more great techniques I recommend the book 'surface treatment techniques' you can learn how to create an amazing range of techniques such as the cling film technique like in the video. It would be great for any art student or trainee/ teacher :) the link is below
    amzn.to/3s0ojjD
I would also recommend Brusho inks, which give you the ability to make the colour as vibrant as you would like, due to the ink coming in powered form. amzn.to/3qN18I2
In the video I quickly demonstrate a variety of different art transfer techniques which will improve your collage or mix media artwork.

Thanks for all your fun and knowledgeable tips and expertise. I have one tip for you, when you have strained hands from inks. Just boil one or two eggs peel off the skin and rub your hands with it. It's the egg white your after, the ink will be absorbed by the egg white. Good luck, ohh and don't eat the eggs after you used them. 😀

I'm really worried, my art teacher doesn't like me and, since Year 9, I've been so demotivated in doing art. I had a different teacher in Year 9 and I got swapped to a different class.

It’s not about a teacher liking you. Concentrate on your work and let the work speak for itself and you will reap the rewards đŸ‘đŸ»

It's really rare that a teacher doesn't like someone. A true teacher is someone who wants every last kid in the class to succeed to the best of his/her ability. Sometimes teachers are disappointed in kids who are, for example, blatantly not listening or taking on board what he/she is trying to communicate. Avoid being paranoid and really show the teacher you ARE listening and applying what is being taught. You'll notice a massive difference!

What on Earth is 'sugar paper?' Trying to figure out if you are a "Brit" or an "Aussie." Once you wrote-"no worries" to someone which seems Australian. then I heard you say, "Bob's your Uncle" which is British. Not trying to get too personal, really. Answer, don't answer- it 's all good! Terri from the South
P.S Bob was actually my Father- really.

Hi Kat, the brusho inks are waterproof and I've had paintings 6 years and they have seemed to keep their colour pretty well.
