Yeah there are so many fouls now.
A 4-point line to me would mean players from current and future generations will have to adjust to a new skill set. Coaches and trainers at all levels will have to teach young guard players how to develop their "4-point" shooting skills. Camps and clinics might have to be dedicated to 4-point shooting development. New drills will have to be invented. Coaches will have to draw up new plays to accommodate the 4-point line i.e. more spacing of the floor for example. Maybe the length of the basketball court will have to be longer? Expect higher scoring games. So much impact by stretching out the arc for a higher point value. But maybe that's just me and it might not be a huge deal. Still an interesting concept though

I don't like the idea of the 4 point line, conversely I would introduce a limitation for the points scored behind the 3 point line, I think we would have a benefit in spectacularity.
They should have sideline attendants throw out hot spot pads for 6,8 and 10 points like in NBA Jam. Also once in awhile a ref lights the ball on fire.

I want to see a four point line, the return of hard defense, and a three strikes rule in which a team is allowed two flagrant fouls per game, but not three. Dunks should also get a bonus, especially fancy ones e.g. a between the legs dunk means that you get another possession plus it's four points. Players should also be allowed to hold up teammates in the air, for extra high blocks. And you should be allowed to travel once per possession, and allowed to touch the ground with any part of your body while holding the ball, such as somersaulting along the ground

The 3 points line was invented by a puerto rrican phisical education teacher. Was first adopted by FIB. The NBA, I think, was one of the last leagues to aopt it.

Just push back the 3 point line or expand the court for side 3 pointers. Maybe we will see less 3 balls and some more actually driving to the basket. Also make traveling how it was back in the day where only 2 steps to the basket not walking backwards or side stepping bring back the fade away jumper

4pt should be half court
Why not just have fractional points. A basket from zero distance (a dunk) is 2 points, from 3-point line is 3 points. Everything in between and beyond is multiplied by the relative distance. So a basket thrown from a mid-distance is 2.5 points and so on. Half-court would be about 4 points. With computers, points would be calculated instantly and a tied game would be a thing of the past.
Instead of adding a 4-point line, why not just extend the 3-point line further?
