    Thomastik Flatwound Mandolin Strings are designed like Violin Strings & they're under half as much tension as Traditional Mandolin Strings so they're smooth & slinky.

    For people with lesser instruments try a set of Mangan monels. They give a brighter instrument a more woody tone.
