She never mentions anything concerning the gravity of exposing her infant child to a group of drugged up sociopaths. Pretty selfish.
Just amazing on how well these people manage to portrait the manson family so so perfectly 👌
Her smile when she says when she first met Manson says it all. She was mesmerised, ans still is.
Manson killed the peace and love of the 1960's. My cousin lived by Rosemary and Leno and I thought my parents were nuts to go to a dinner party in that neighborhood right after the murders. I was so scared to be there with them.
I wonder if it was the topic that dominated chit chat at the party or were guests actively avoiding the subject.
Funny that you should say that. My relatives were so Pollyanna they would act like the thing never happened.@@EastSide-qc5oy

Good job making this!!
That actor’s too tall to play that little evil freak. But he pulls it off with flying colors.

Linda actually passed away in January of 2023. She was in hiding after the trial and lived in the Washington state area.

Yep. It's getting to be that time of year isn't it. Thanks for the upload. Before I got the notification I was listening to Helter skelter being read. Just paused it to make supper right at the point of Winifred Chapman's arrival at 10050. One thing that bugs me about the narrator is that he pronounces it SHELL-o Drive. Makes me nuts!
Thank you for observing the anniversary as I do every year. The other thing I always make sure to watch is Six De.grees of Helter Skelter, an amazing really great small documentary. What gets me every time is the music at the end, not the song sung by the woman, the instrumental that begins at the point they spot the green truck behind Barker ranch.... That music is just heartbreaking, for some reason, to me. All that life Sharon and little Paul had ahead of them.. just slaughtered and ripped out of the world, All of us who are mothers could not even begin to imagine living even a millisecond in the horror that has no words, of everything that Sharon realized, must have realized, was suddenly happening
I hate that murder is always forever, and that watson, Van Houten and krenwickle as far as I know, are still breathing
And here it 2024 and the world is even crazier 😮😢
Charles Manson obviously couldn't handle rejection and had a bad temper.
Sharon's sister hilarious does she think we believe how sweet and loving Roman was she's dilutional
I agree. I think that Debra Tate and her mother were so traumatized by what happened that they stayed "stuck" in the year it happened. Never underestimate the power of denial.
😅
Well I kind of got sick of hearing this story, but this is THE BEST documentary I’ve seen yet! It was very interesting to listen to the girl’s perspectives and experiences. It was HARDCORE !!!
✨🌼R.I.P. ✨🌼✨
🌼✨Sharon and your baby! ✨👼🏼✨🌼✨👼🏼
This is good, but watch Manson, a doc from 1972 or 73. Shows tons of actual footage and interviews from the "family", including Paul Watson. A lot of future movies derived their plot points from this doc. That was actually the very best documentary that I've seen about them.
@@sarahsilverlight2064 this one is the worse, any manson documentary that paints Linda as a Saint and says race war was the motive is complete junk. And the one from 72 was the family acting, you do realize that. There was nothing genuine about it. I will agree it was cool seeing the actual ranch and ithebreal members it did an ok.job of showing how they may have lived, but that's it.

Imagine the terror and shock to discover that the man you looked up to and followed was actually a killer. I'm glad that she was able to find a way out. It's too bad that she didn't go to the police before going into hiding, but I do understand how she may have felt that her daughter's life would have been at risk if she had gone to the police. How sad and horrifying. I'm really glad that she had a strong enough conscience and heart NOT to join in and be disturbed by what she had witnessed.
She actually never killed anyone so thank goodness she was there to testify, she had no control that night but she she feels remorse, that is an exceptional person to go gobthrough all tha5 and see j7stice done
@@tarjakangas6681 wow your acting like Linda was some sort of hero. You do realize that it was tex and her that formulated the plan that night. We are told that she never entered the house that night and just waited outside, that's a total lie. She stole 5k from Charles Melton, was heavily involved with drugs and drug dealing. So she wasn't this innocent little hippie. You say she never killed anyone well either did manson. I suggest you read the first account of the murders sisan gave to her attorney, testimony before the prosecution got a hold of her. Then watch the interview Gary Fleischmann who was Linda's attorney gave. He basically says the narrative was spoon fed ti her by bugliosi. This documentary is filled with inaccuracies and I'm sick of people believing the official narrative. Read the book chaos by tom O'Neil he spent 20yrs researching this case and has proved that prosecution witnesses lied, perjured themselves, tland the prosecution was compromised. He has proven that the real reason behind the murders has nothing to do with race wars or mind control. It's much more simplistic then that, drugs and money is the reason. It was a drug deal gone horribly wrong and was instigated by Linda and tex. Do some research, read the trial transcripts from all the trials and you will see how much these people lie and change their stories and the accounts of the murders
@@Ryan-Kako I’m familiar with all the various alternative theories but there’s literally no evidence that Linda and Tex were orchestrating a drug deal or planning murders together related to any drug deal. That has always been mere rumor and gossip, starting way back during the original trial when Manson and the girls were doing everything they could to confuse the jury and spare Manson from a conviction.
I’ll repeat. There is zero evidence. Zero. Just rumor and gossip. It’s case lore promoted mostly by Manson sympathizers. You’re also GREATLY overemphasizing the validity of Tom O’Neill’s book. He certainly never proved much of anything. He does a lot of speculating especially about MKUltra type stuff. He certainly never proved anything about Linda and Tex and he didn’t even try to.
@Ryan-Kako I'm 100% convinced it was manson getting turned down by Terry Melcher
That was his only chance of stardom. And it was never going to happen.dennis also stole his song& he never got credit.
It's weird how they said they all looked up to a guy who was 5'3.wasnt Leslie like 6'3?
I find it odd that debra tate said voytek& abigail were visiting. They weren't visiting they were actually living there to keep sharon safe.being she was so close im surprised she didn't know that.
Interesting theory I read in my interest with Mindhunters. Tex Watson was perhaps challenging Charlie for leadership and Tex was not just following Charlie’s orders, he was all in for it. Yet the guy got to get married and father four children while in prison.
Texas go figure,,,,,
You are joking I hope. 😡😡
What!?! 😳no way!
Nope Tex has four children..
Because he's in California the land of weird !!
Hard to believe these girls turned into murderers. Very sad they ruined their lives and countless others. Victims and their families should haven't ever been put thru what they did.
*I love this subject*
They made bad decisions their whole lifetime... Their guilty
Maybe they found out the truth of who the coloreds are in real life
Why is it hard to believe?? Because they're white?
Ruined people's lives? Very nice way of saying they hacked people up ending their lives. It's almost like you don't understand what knifing people to death really means.
The crocodile tears while telling those stories are amazing
you clearly don’t know how a cult works. manson wore down his followers, made them think he was the most important thing in their lives, made them lose their sense of identity. he abused them so obviously this woman was too scared to leave or speak up, or do anything that might upset him. and as it’s shown in the documentary, she wasn’t aware of what they were about to do. imagine you’ve been abused and manipulated for months and then you’re forced to witness a horrific murder and can’t do anything about it. obviously she’s going to cry.
@@katam7299 1:28:51 She was only there 4 weeks. Seems she got out fairly sharpish and hardly had time to realise what she was into before she was in too deep.
***this is the 6th day of me being sick*** ***I have to go in at 2p.m. tomorrow***
I was just thinking the same thing! Wiping away nonexisting tears! I do not feel sorry for the women. Sorry, just don't. Idc how charismatic Charles was, how persuasive. You know right from wrong. Point blank period! This was horrific, those poor people who were killed, and their families hearts were shattered into pieces.
@@CoriBrown85 I’m making no claims about her sincerity, but she does exhibit significant signs of Rhinorrhea which is the medical term for the runny nose, congestion, and “sniffles” that frequently accompany crying. Rhinorrhea involves stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) leading to an increase in mucus production and release. As such, it is actually quite difficult for most people to fake. Some people find it impossible to fake, which would lend credence to the idea that the crying she displays is quite real.
Interesting case
I'm so tired of these lame actor reenactments, I just want the interviews...
What is the song they are playing in the acid trip segment?
Hard to believe her sister is defending a child r-pist. Hollywood is from a different mold.

wow this documentary is actually art.
The book chaos by Tom O Neill brought me here! Well worth a read!
26:05 Obviously, not true! That's why they didn't record him. Seems that Gypsy is trying to re write history in this.
There are other people not in the Family who said Dennis talked Manson up as having potential, and Dennis recorded one Manson’s songs with the Beach Boys, so it doesn’t sound like Gypsy is rewriting anything here.
Curious. Were you there ?
13 years old when the Manson Family murders occurred. I felt like a true flower child then, but umm, quashed that self identity right then and there. I'm pretty lucky I wasn't 16 or 17 years old during that time or I likely would have run away to SF. A child with an emotionally abusive father who foiled my every attempt to have a somewhat normal childhood, I'd have left of there was any vision of where to go. Luckily for me (selfishly speaking) the SF scene was completely ruined for me by Manson and I'd never been involved in drugs. I had a major emotional breakdown down instead. And that went completely unnoticed by parents also. Brain are not completely formed well at age 16 and mine certainly wasn't. At age 17 an older man became attracted to me. He was well thought of amongst my peers. And I felt really loved. We married when I was 18. The entire relationship lasted 3 years. And then he broke my heart. Very lucky that he was not a Manson, druggie or abuser. Because I was very vulnerable at age 17 and was only looking for love and acceptance. I didn't even know how to judge myself, let alone others.
Those ladies should be in jail for life! Especially the one that took the wallet

The Manson murders occurred the day before and the day of my 18th birthday.
Oh wow. And 13 days before my mother's! In fact she recalls hearing it, the news report of the Tate murders on the car radio when she and her BFF were trying to find a parking place in their hometown in Connecticut in the little downtown area, which was a very difficult feat on a Saturday noon time.
They were shopping the summer clearance sale at Ann Taylor, hoping to find some cute little top to wear the FOLLOWING weekend`~yes a little road trip to upstate New york, if you get my drift.... Not sure is it is the whole story, would believe her more if she whent straight to the police when she escaped.
Hippies didn’t trust the police.
She’s like a trained seal on command . Delivering what is asked of her and since it’s got some grains of truth - it’s easy . None of these people had much of a moral compass to begin with .
I'm pretty sure it's not the whole truth. She has to stick to her version of events, the story that kept her out of prison.

Kasabian & Tex had their flings. I think Tex may have even cared for her shielding her from partaking in the actual killings by making her stay outside and keep watch. Just my theory.

I really love this document video of what really happened the night of Charles Manson and family when they did the murders of 2 nights.
I can't believe how much the actors look like the real criminals. They did such a good job in this video especially with Charles Manson how he looks exactly the same as he does in real life. Thankyou for posting .
She goes two nights in a row why is she not in prison. She could have taken her kid the day after the first night and left am I right.
The only reason she never went to prison was the plea deal and agreeing to go along with the prosecutions story. Essentialy she helped implicate Manson and get him put away also. Doesn't mean she is not guilty.
No. You’re wrong
Agree. I don't understand, why did she not tell her daughter to be ready next day if she wanted to take her? Why did she not go to the police instead of hiding? This so-called 'documentary' is based on her version of events, in which she's the good girl, obviously 🙄
