- The biggest issue with the version 1 of the CA25 Camera Cooling Fan from Ulanzi was the suction cup fitting would not stick to your camera. Ulanzi have now released an upgraded version of the ca25 camera cooling fan which removes the suction cups in favour for a spring mechanism which actually works.

This is an absolute lifesaver for people who live in tropical countries. I live in the Philippines, shoot with an A6700, and I had the mk1. The camera on its own overheats at 4k24fps in under 20 minutes, the fan did help but the humidity made the suction cups pretty much unusable. Fell off every 2 minutes. Glad to know there was an update! Thanks for this info
How much more minutes did you get with the cooler?
are u filipino or foreigner?
I like that you compared the top cooling fan options. Everyone else was just pushing one or the other. Thank you :)
Omg, thank you for this video!! So much
Well, I developed a 3d printable piece for the old version, that does pretty much the same, but I just bought the new one anyway, because it looks much cleaner and perhaps more reliable. Annoying, because I just bought the old one 2 months ago and can't return it anymore. But I'm glad they are finally offering the solution all of us have been waiting for. Thanks a lot for sharing this!.
In case anyone is interested, in my testing the fan (the old one) cooled the camera (A7 IV) down to 5°c over ambient, which means the Camera got very hot to the touch, but I had no trouble recording the full SDCard of 3:53h in 35°C my ambient closet. Without fan it overheated at around 1:30h in these ambients.
Just to confirm. I just received mine today and it fits my A7 IV perfectly 👍
Can you share that 3d printable piece? I have some old versions and would liek to use them without the suction cup

And I gotta say. It's too noisy for me, currently tinkering on the old version to see if I can make a modified more silent version.
thingiverse: "ulanzi cooler". Somebody was already faster than me 😉
i was filming a concert yesterday on my fuji x-s20 at 1080p60fps and my camera was pretty hot with constant high temperature warning. luckily it didn't shut down, but i still wish i had something like this with me
Are you on heat standard or heat high setting
Hello thank you for an amazing advice! Just got my zv e1 and already a bit upset, cause I didn’t even record but just figured out with settings around 20 min and it’s already warm. Should I panic? Cause my usual filming time takes around 3 hours 🙏🏻
Is that 3 hours continuous as this certainly isn’t the camera for that without a fan. When I have it on my desk mount I actually use a usb 120mm fan this gives me pretty much limited record time without overheating.
Does it vibrate enough to create any jiggles on the recording? Or is it not sth to bother? 😊 Thanks for the video.
Nope that’s is something you do not need to worry about
Thanks, helpful
You're welcome!
What microphone are you using? Sounds amazing!

i'm worried about the vibration of the fan when using to record on a tripod, for example.
It may affect the image stability, right?
Did you test it?
No need to test as it isn’t an issue.
@@thefullsetup my point is: does the vibration of the fan affects the recorded image?
Or is it irrelevant?
@@omarcelopaixao irrelevant

I have Ulanzi camera fan 2.version.
The cooling performance is perfect.
The weak point is the built-in battery with a ridiculous 200mah that lasts 80 minutes at 1 level and 70 minutes at 2 levels from full to completely empty.
Ulanzi should bring a 3rd version of this fan onto the market with an extremely better battery from 1000mAh or even more, and make the fan itself even quieter.
The battery charging time is also extremely long, which should also be improved in the 3rd version so that it is more than twice as fast.
The built-in USB-C port is a joke, they should not install a USB port at all.
The 3rd version can be even more expensive for completely better quality.
The spring retention in the 2nd version is also terrible, the suction cups should please go back to the 1st version.
Did you try the tilta fan?
Great, so those of us who bought the original versions get absolutely nothing for those and now we have to spend the same amount of money AGAIN to get a product that was supposed to work properly the first time. Ulanzi knew they messed up the original version, and that's why they were so quick to release an updated version. I will not be giving them any more money. They need to allow us to trade in the old versions for the new versions at no charge.
For how much it costs them to produce this fan I also think it’s crazy they are not offering free exchanges for the newer version.
I have the older version but not getting the new one anytime soon. Its too expensive to buy those here in Brazil
