RIP Bill Rieflin - he was a great feature of the band in their final years. I loved his drumming on their last two albums.
REM= Remember Every Moment!!! Loved REM.
This band still puts a smile on my face, and makes me a little sad too cause it reminds me of the "days gone by...." Ha! Good, bad, or ugly......they were Great, GREAT! Im still the same...haven't changed my name..... wow...
No other band will ever reach this level of excellence in my lifetime. I don't think anyone even cares about making music this good at this point in history.

I've been a fan of this extrodinary band form it's indie(I.R.S.) days. Those releases.."Life's Rich Pagent", "Fables of the Reconstruction" "Document" Reckoning" and "Murmer"..(not in that order) five of the most incredible albums ever recorded..Funny..Thing,this gig was recorded on July 10th, 1 day before my birthday(wish I was there) OUTSTANDING!!

Love the captions! Hilarious. Regret never seeing these guys. Listened to the hell out of them in high school and college and then when they hit it super big I sort of lost interest. Seemed like they were just played to death on radio and MTV. So I kept seeing the Dead and their remnants, and Phish and all the jam bands and missed out on every seeing these guys live. My loss for sure. They were truly a great band. Auto for the People still slays me to this day. Lyrics like the world has never seen. Thankful for CZcams :)

We were there Joyce! 😃One of the biggest audiences for the main stage at that Festival EVER! The atmosphere was electric!! Bittersweet though.....we didn't know we would never see them live again 😪 REMember. Every. Moment 🎶🎶

He will never be Bill Berry, I always wonder what the music up to now would sound like if Berry was the drummer instead of Rieflin or whoever recorded with REM up to now. Maybe REM would still be active if Berry was here.

Seems like his singing deteriorated quite abit between 2003 and 2008? Great band though, all of their albums 86-98 are essential.
