What is the mechanic that automates it? You casts frostbolt, what casts the nova, or?
@@lystfiskerlars You cast Ice Nova, and then the helmet will automatically cast Frostbolt
my helmet didn't automatically cast the spell and I don't know why 😟

graveyard should be able to craft any gear for these. Craft of Exile has a calc now for graveyard

Palsteron THANK YOU for always updating your builds. Personally as someone who's played POE since beta and has 10k hours I love how many different ideas you throw out. For experienced players it just means there are a ton of ideas and directions you can often apply to your builds. Builds have to be modified for the gear a player has available and your guides are amazing with all the different ideas you deliver and different gear levels you plan for.

It’s fun to see this evolve, strangely I was running Gorathas Arcanist Brand Nova Archmage, then saw your Kitavas Thirst ball lightning and incorporated Thirst to get rid of the brand. Now I see you’ve switched to Nova but have a refined take on it, looking forward to incorporating some of your elements when I next get online!
haven't had much time to play yet, but am having a blast with your build. Currently only in white maps still, but I am definitely gonna swap to this setup once i also make the swap to crit. I don't mind the way we try n figure out things, im just glad you do it for me in this case.. I don't have the time currently.

What's the delay between ice nova triggers on frostbolts? Tried at act 7 and it was so long I really needed the return projectiles to trigger all casts

Can I do the Energized Armour setup & tree with the previous Ball lightning setup? Kind of a hybrid, but I want to make some currency first (in act 10 right now), and I like the tankiness of that setup. Or am I much better off just doing the previous tree from the day 2/3 video?
Hi pal, I'm currently running a variation with Ivory Tower and prism guardian for a 4 aura setup. Would you say the version you are running is better? Trying to decide. I can link my current POB for reference tho I'm still progressing atlas so gear is a bit scuffed atm

is there a reason you have evasion ES gear, instead of armor es? i know some of the other builds go E/ES for the mastery, but with the helmet we cant do that. so just wondering. Also, is there a reason that most builds use ele weakness insetead of conductivity, we do much more lighthning than anyting else, and it lowers the reesist more, and fgive more shock, just wondering why not use it.
i assume there is a reason i do not know.

On another note... It's an experimental build, you won't get consistency by nature. If you want something consistent and solid, look for something that isn't experimental.
Does this need to be crit based? Or if we focus on cast speed and all other attributes / stats, then is non-crit viable > regular ball lightning?

Yo. How is this build with around 40div invested? Easily cruising through t16?
I am playing a scuffed ass version of this and loving it . I basically still have the stun immunity purity of elements setup and am using a nice rare 700 es chest. Im doing the maven witness boss kill strat tree you had also and delving around 400 sideways , just absolutely loving it right now. Im using crit chance gem because i dont think my gear supports crit multi and im still using all the res flasks with also a crit flask with a move speed enchant because i mostly move around with frostblink anyhow.
I know 10 ways are not the hardest content but im shitting on them at level 94. And again i consider what im running very scuffed. i have 3200 life after reserving clarity and 3600 es , with 6000 mana.
Also i league started this build and usually i would be rerolling after getting 4 watchstones 5th map slot and atlas completion but this time im going to keep playing this one for a while and keep farming these bosses for maps.

Hey! Running into a few issues since switching to CRIT + Ice nova. 1. My mana is actually deteriorating faster than it recharges. Is it your 75% mana regen ring that fixes it? My ice nova costs 128 mana a pop, how do I get it down to your 105? 2. Are you not using automation with arcane cloak? In your gameplay I can't see it popping. 3. I'm not getting the same stats from glorious vanity that you do, despite me choosing a Doryani one. Do the numbers matter? 4. Any crafting tips? I have similar gear to you except you have 2 ele resists on gloves and boots and I only have one on each, which messes me up a bit.
Also final question; what in the build deals with bleed? I used to have anti bleed on a mana flask but I use your setup now and I die to bleed.
@@LEJKAHH pretty sure he has a corrupted blood immunity implicit on one of his jewels. The numbers on the timeless jewels definitely matter. Google poe timeless jewel calculator and you can configure it to see exactly what it will do on your tree, and you can even do searches for certain skills on specific nodes and then search directly from the calculator on trade website.
Guys is there a way to find right Cluster jewel cause every time i look i see Scintillating Idea at the back of jewel , am i searching wrong or something ?

Hey Palsteron. I am playing your build in ssf and was able to farm lorewaeve and ice nova of frost bolt today. But eternal damnation seems unreachable for me. Do you have any ideas for my situation?
Made the switch pretty early on (in mapping but before upgrading rares too much, definitely not crit ready). And even still, it's very enjoyable and clears easily enough. I cant wait to get the currency to switch to crit later.

Small thing to be aware of, Loreweave also sets chaos max res at 78, so you could get a bit more chaos res which in turn also grants you more elemental damage reduction.

@Palsteron How to league start with Kitava's Thirst? Can be equippid at level 44, so would match when one is farming merc lab for trans gem. Would really like to finish campaign with the 1-button setup.
if you look at the pob for ball lightning, he says to lvl up with rolling magma
just use the maxroll guide to complete campain you dont need kitava to do the campain at all

Ever considered Dream Fragments sapphire ring over anathema? I get the curses, but is 2 enough with kitava thirst automation? Or does this build truly truly truly desire to have 4~5 curses?
The extra 2 curses are a lot of damage or survivability, but not needed. You will slap T16 maps without them.
Once this has been optimized, do you see this being an all-rounder build? one that is comfortable in mapping and can rock bosses and possibly even T17 maps easily?
I have to say, even the quad curse version absolutely slaps. I've managed today to beat my first t17 map. With less than 10 div invested. As for the frostbolt, my only concern would be visibility
The question is, do we necessarily need that crit wands or we can start with ball lightning wands?
Really nice build! A friend of mine and I are playing it and having a blast BUT we are bad at upgrading builds ;)

tested it transitioning to nova without crit wands, still really good, you need to replace crit damage with crit chance and you are good to go, i transitioned to the left side when i had the unique jewels
its fun ya, this was my 1st 100 last league. i tried it on occ w/ power stacking, but swapped to hiero for it this league. should try it with pledge since greater echo stacks w/ spell echo and it's basically double damage (repeat x2x2). abyss jewels w/ cast spd/crit recently good too.
can i still continue the build with ball lightning instead of swapping to ice nova?

I had a question about the glories timeless jewel should i worry about the notables or is the corrupted soul is what is important? I have tried to find one close to the one that is in the POB but cant not find one.
i ended up going for more dmg version with +crit and a few lightning pen nodes. the great thing about timeless jewels is you can somewhat customize your searches for ones that fill gaps in your build.

i have 29 divs. wanna play archmage for the first time. will i be able to build a budget version of this tanky build? can i ignore the +1 power charge corruption?

So.. I know nothing of the Glorious Vanity jewel, or how those timeless jewels work. I always try to find one 'near' the number someone uses, but it changes the nodes to worse things.
How do I go about trying to match yours? 0 on trade with that number, currently.
use a timeless jewel calculator and look for the nodes his jewel gives, his gives increased armour and increased spell dmg so you search for those stats and it will give you a list of seeds(numbers) which also give those nodes
why you dont use watcher eye?
I ran this setup from leaguestart and can comfirm it works amazingly, i was running a kitavas thirst setup from act 8 onwards and never had any problems
would switching corrupted soul with transendace a good or a bad idea

tbh ive run most of pal builds even in torchlight i always feel like his builds and guides ,make it clear what you need to do at certain points. This build is some serious fun. with the Celestial MTX i feel like Youga from torchlight lol. Keep up the work pal

This is pretty expensive, i dont think you can quickly switch to this after leveling.

Yea 100%
It is, but you gotta hunt for resistances on temporary jewels to make it work. Lots of this gear doesn't give resistance.

Just do ball lightning but include kitavas thirst to automatically cast frostbolt. It’s best if you go quad curse setup but it should be fine without

As a somewhat newer player, is this build viable if you can never afford Loreweave and Eternal Damnation ammy ?? And Energised Armour jewel ? Ice Nova of Frostbolts is 107 Chaos now. All items are very pricey for me after checking prices.
You don’t need loreweave or eternal damnation. You really need kitavas thirst and anathryma(curse ring). I was able to swap over with the ball lightning build and had no issues at yellow/early red maps. I did switch over to crit but that took some currency. I would say energised is needed because you are really squishy
i have a massive problem my ice nova costs less then 100 mana and I have removed everything with mana cost on attack reduced but its still to low
Does anyone know why " more Spell Damage if you've been Stunned while Casting recently " is good. Palsteron takes it in his POB, but i dont know how often one actually gets stunned.
