The big problem of the film's story is in the symbiote itself, the film manages to develop Peter and Eddie well and the reasons why they use the symbiote in my opinion, but in addition to Eddie and Venom not having that look of the comics and not having the same connection, Venom in the film is a character without identity, it's almost just a living alien suit and Venom is not only that, he has an identity behind it, but I think the movie managed to handle it well
