My friend sent me this video. It’s my first time watching. I thought I’d add a little more insight to your information on the garment and taking upon yourself the name of Jesus Christ in wearing it. A few months ago my husband and I were pondering on the new changes with the temple video and wording. We had done an endowment Saturday night. Sunday morning we had church. And we were sitting as they were doing the sacrament. And something stuck out to us that we had never noticed before until we had been pondering on the endowment video. The sacrament prayer of the bread. “and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son”.
It hit us each week we covenant to be willing and prepare ourselves to take upon us the name of Jesus Christ. It’s a weekly preparation that we do and then when we actually go through the temple it’s at that point that we physically take upon ourselves the Name of Christ. They are 2 ordinances that are directly tied together. One to prepare ourselves through repentance and then two where we actually covenant and physical take upon us the name of Christ.
This was one more mind blowing things to us that hit us like a ton of bricks and I thought I’d share it here. 25:35

Also. Something I always found to be cool. I think all the symbols on the garments create another symbol. The compass, the square, the upper line, and the lower line. Put these symbols together and you will get the seal of Solomon. I would really like this idea explored on this channel. That would be really cool!

The endowment of light that was lost in the Garden is received when the Spirit justifies us. This glory is what covers us. As you know, Atonement means cover in Aramaic. We are covered in the glorious endowed robes of Christ at the veil so we don't burn up in the Coming in Glory or when we qualify to overcome the Fall and return to the presence of the Father who lives in eternal burnings.
Christ was made perfect at the end of His covenant path so He could go to the Father to receive the sacred embrace which is what Atonement means in other languages. Then He said later in the Americas that he was perfect now like the Father. He was changed into a higher form.

    • @joybischoff9558
      @joybischoff9558 Před 4 měsíci

Definition of the Atonement: "Reparation, in Christian belief the reconciliation of God and mankind through Jesus Christ. The word comes (in the early 16th century, denoting unity or reconciliation, especially between God and man), from at one + the suffix -ment, influenced by medieval Latin adunamentum ‘unity’, and earlier onement from an obsolete verb one ‘to unite’."
Jesus taught how crucial oneness is. We must become of one heart as Zion, the latter-day Bride who are the sanctified.
Nibley wrote that if the Bride in the last days does not become united into one through the Atonement, then Zion will fail.
Of course as a whole we won't fail. But many individuals will who refuse to become one as the Father and the Son are.
Please do not discourage the massive key principle of unity.

What's really cool about the compass and square is that architecturally, geometrically, constructionally, they are the beginning of all creation. From the beginning of geometry if you can draw a straight line with a ruler, and a circle with a compass, you can Construct ANYTHING AT ALL.
All of our modern knowledge of geometry, architecture, building, creation, design, etc is based on straight lines and circles. With a compass and a square you can eventually build whatever you want. They are the fundamental tools of all creation
And I think that is super cool.

    >>Adam & Eve learned knowledge of nature and/or plants 1st, as if the "Tree of Knowledge" gave them the agency to learn "knowledge" or garments, of fig leaves.
    >> Then God give them the "knowledge" or garments of animal skins. Skins = "knowledge of man through man"
    >> Discovery of "One's" nakedness [Arum in Hebrew = Decieve or Deceptive/Crafty]
    >> When Noah was claimed drunkened and his nakedness was seen by Ham, I think Ham was claiming that Noah was making stuff up to be deceptive or crafty (or being naked & drunk) with the Knowledge or Garments. The brothers walking backwards to cover their fathers' "nakedness" that they were showing Ham that the garments are there or that their father was not drunken or naked. Maybe working the knowledge backwards and forwards to prove the knowledge was correct.
    >> Ham is banished . So Ham leaves to start his on cities with the Fake verision of the garments given to Noah. If this knowledge was including a calendar system, now Ham would pretend to be a reincarnated Noah , named Utz. He claimed to have come from the middle of the 2 Ariat mountains]

The Great Isaiah Scroll contains all 66 chapters of Isaiah and is still extant and accessible for reading.
In the Book of Mormon, we find selections from Isaiah, and some of the key themes mentioned by Isaiah are echoed in these passages1.
      Textual Variants:
Scholars have compared the Book of Mormon Isaiah with various sources, including the King James Version (KJV), the Hebrew Bible, and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
While there are some textual differences, they are not sufficient to form a consistent interpretive pattern. In other words, the Book of Mormon selections from Isaiah sometimes parallel the KJV and sometimes align more closely with the Dead Sea Scrolls or other ancient versions. Also, the dead sea scrolls are not Isaiahs original writings. They are a copy, and it is disputed among scholars as to if they are a copy of the original or not.

Near the Nihm tribal region in Yemen, an altar was discovered with the inscription “NHM”. This region corresponds to the proposed Nahom location.
Additionally, the name “Ishmael” (in a South Arabian script) was inscribed on a funerary stela dating to around Lehi’s time.
      The NHM Altar:
The discovery of an altar with the letters NHM near the Nihm tribal lands raises the possibility that this rare place name “Nahom” mentioned in the Book of Mormon is associated with the Nihm tribe.
      Joseph Smith’s Translation:
Joseph Smith’s translation of the Book of Mormon included several details about Lehi’s route through the desert, including the mention of Nahom.
The specificity of these details, especially considering the limited knowledge of the Arabian peninsula in the early 19th century, remains remarkable.

I want to know more about Tetragrammaton (HWHY) and the Square etc. I see the anti's are very quick to jump on that quick allusion Don made, because he didn't really make the case beyond noting the parallel. My suspicion is Don considers that there is more behind that reference than just the 'four letters, two repeat'.

I was thinking the same thing. Is there more to this other than it follows a similar pattern (two repetitive symbols)? If not, then it seems to be a stretch connecting it to the Lord’s name and is “literally” taking upon ourselves His name.

I RECENTLY WATCHED A NDE PERSON RELATE HIS TOUR OF THE AFTERLIFE WHO SAID THAT THE GATE OF HEAVEN WAS JUST WIDE ENOUGH FOR JESUS TO STAND IN THE OPENING AND THAT ANYONE ENTERING THEREIN MUST PASS THROUGH HIS RESURRECTED BODY AND ALL THE IMPURITIES OF THE PERSON PASSING INTO HEAVEN WERE STRIPPED FROM THEIR SOUL. THE VEIL OF THE TEMPLE REPRESENTS JESUS BUT THE ACTUAL PORTAL OF HEAVEN IS JESUS.

@27:42 This made me connect back to the garment and think our the symbol our arm makes during baptism as a priesthood holder... but then it goes even farther than that, also as if you are officating the ordinace of the confirmation you are doing so by the laying on of hands... what symbol are your arms making when doing so?

I bet the animal slain was of the first year, without spot or blemish. And I'm sure God used that animal to show the proper form and method of sacrifice, as Able performed later, but Cain tried to offer a sacrifice his own way.

@@avoice423 We do not know what the animals were, let alone how big they were. There are several different sacrifices, God would have taught them all.

That animal that was slain for garments was a unicorn. Think about it…….. and why would a unicorn appear on counties flags etc. power was applied to the animal instead of the actual reason for a garment and who made it. Now think if that animal could no longer procreate so what would be the next similar animal that could be sacrificed on an altar….. a lamb, a goat… why were both used in sacred ceremonies? I question everything, just pondering.

I wonder if Don or Jonah has heard of the "Massiticum Biblia", otherwise called the "Book of Two Pearls". While it reiterates, with some modification, the story of Adam and Eve, and the early patriarchs with expansion of the stories of Enoch and Shem combatting Nimrod, it also has a large portion called the "Book of Joseph", recounting the later life of Jacob and the whole life of Joseph. The Book of Joseph, unlike the rest of the text resembles the writing style that Joseph had in the Book of Moses and Book of Abraham. While I really think it is a forgery due to its very suspect origin, and lack of the original Hebrew or Greek text, it is provocative. Showed up in the 1990s as I recall, and it is only hosted on a single website and academia account. It mentions Jacob fashioning a coat that had the "emblems of the High Priesthood" on it for Joseph. Interesting, even if it is a forgery by a Joseph Smith imitator.

So, what about Eve's Garment? Could this be why woman are pronounced clean and men have to come clean? Was Adams garment lost, stolen or defiled as it came through the ages?

also, the YHWH name represents the breath of life. By pronunciation it is an inhale and exhale. Breathe in with Yah, and out with Weh. When Adam receives the breath of life, he receives the name of Christ.
Baptism is an outgrowth of the Mikvah, the cleaning ritual of the Law of Moses.
    And that's also cool
