Steam Returns to Old Lilydale Station for the last time! Steamrail's Lilydale Shuttles 10/7/2021

Join 762 Media as we cover the last steam trains at Old Lilydale and Mooroolbark Stations prior to closure of both stations for Grade Separation
Steamrail Victoria operated 4 shuttles on July 10 2021 between Lilydale and Ringwood and return with K153 and A2 986
In this video we ride on the transfers from Newport to Lilydale and vice versa, and also see the shuttles at a number of locations on the picturesque line throughout the day!

Gee wish, they get along on the mainline don’t they, ay. Gone the days of seeing that in South Australia lol 😂. It was actually 26 years just the other day since the SAR F Class Suburban tank, F251, ran the last mainline specials around Adelaide. I was only a month and a bit old when that happened. Love to get to Victoria again and experience steam on the mainline. But the uncertainty of the times is really impeding my ability to make the trip over. Great work once again, Lucas. It is a real shame that it has been that long since a mainline trip in SA, the NRM should get the 700 or something for mainline tours, hopefully you get over during a covid lull! haha, and if you come over to Puff we are certainly going to do some chasing together.
