The tooth geometry is everything. The first gold FX blade comes to damn near a triangular point, so the hair feeds in perfectly for a sharp line. Everything afterwards was kinda rectangular, so they cut like a clipper rather than a trimmer. Idek how they took a step back on that.

For lining i mostly use the og gold or the graphite fine tooth blade. Balding they all get the job but do think the deep tooth ones bald a bit faster so i prefer those. And the new dlc blade is a beast overall. They won me over bro cant lie best trimmers. And ive used a few man like from every company. Great video. I replaced the black graphite 2.0 blade that came on my silverFX trimmers with the fine tooth black graphite blade and they line much better than the 2.0 blade that came on the trimmers. I'd really like to see Babyliss include both options with their trimmers. One obvious thing they're missing in their lineup is a silver blade identical to the original gold blade (half way between fine tooth and deep tooth?) because putting a gold blade on silver trimmers is not a good look, IMO.

Also the trimmer is broken thats why it was loud it was a known issue with the gold trimmers that's why he replaced the trimmers for me. I thought it was a weird comment. If they could have worked I would have got them to work. You couldn't have done anything I didn't try. But thanks for watching my next customer just came in.

@@desmondmitchell5602 if they could have been set I would have kept them or they wouldn't have replaced them. I don't know everything but as you can see I know how blades are supposed to work when set properly. Thanks for knowing more then Babyliss. Maybe after I sent them to them they should have sent the blades to you and you could have saved them money. Since your the 🐐 of fixing broken equipment

The blade is complete trash, I used them for 2 days. Returned them after, they grab/ tug on the skin way to much. When 0 gapped they just irritated & snag the clients skin. To much of a liability for me.

And the only CON about the Gammas is cutting bulk. Other than that, it’s all around efficiency and quality is great.
