Thanks for the demo, I think it does a fine job from just this prompt.
Now, the quality of the output is not exactly inspiring but the website exists and that's a start.
I found the steps in the planner very cool.
This is where it would be useful to start to get a sense of the projected costs to get a sense of the value of such a proposition today.
As a follow-up, could you look into what was generated? And make an evaluation on how easy it would be to improve this barebone website manually or still with Devon.
How are projects like Devika and Open Devin in comparison? I haven't played with Devika for a few weeks now, but with the slew of new FOSS models, I'm very curious to see how they perform. Great demo!
Same I would be interested in a comparison to get a sense of where things are now.
Maybe it'll highlight how much Devin is ahead of the competition even if it's still early? But maybe that'll be more subtle than that.
I totally agree I really feel like there is value in Devin against the two open source alternatives to see if there is much difference in terms of quality

Mervin I’m disappointed man… You normally have banger videos. I can understand you doing projects that you create from scratch or testing llms to test simple use cases/benchmarks but this is supposed to be the king where it all comes together. So I expect you to test this tool to the best of its abilities and give a proper evaluation. There are plenty of AI website generators that do a similar job to this. Come on bro. All we want to know is the truth and if this is even worth considering. You’re the only one that has access that pops up in my AI feed. Take advantage bro! Don’t be their puppet. You have the audience and the authority. Let them dance to your rhythm instead.
Thanks for writing this! @mervin definitely consider. With the only access to a very anticipated tool, you could really make something of it rather than building basic things!

I still don't get why companies are still cherry picking who can use their software because without subscribers also having access, this is just another adverstisement video for them.
Cherry picking early access is how online marketing works for quite a while now.
However I think Mervin does a good job here, and even works really hard to produce content really to stay on top of what's happening every day in this field, and seems to stay up very late to record videos like this one.
It's awesome to have creators doing deep dives and analysis and others showing quick proof of concepts and evaluations instead.
A single person can't do both at the same time on such short notice, it's impossible. I'm grateful for Mervin's continued effort already.

@@elmo4672 You will be disappointed. I haven't seen an LLM be able to build a full stack program yet and I don't believe it will be able to without a large amount of assistance from a good software engineer. With 20+ years experience I use AI daily in my work and its great. But its still got major flaws and you have to know how to program in the first place too utilize it well. Once software engineers are replaced by AI the whole world will be replaced.
I think devin pays good😂
