Randomly opened the livestream to witness the overtake of the year.
Same here. It was fantastic!
I started rewatching at one point saw a mechanic fall off a skateboard after holding onto the back of a dodge viper coming into pits. Still have no idea why or how it happened
That wasn't a mechanic, that was Titus "father of the German skateboarding scene" Dittman, one of the drivers in said Dodge Viper (his) and head of the team.
More like overtake of the century
Yeah me too, I was primarily watching Spa at the time and ended up flicking over to N24 just to witness a God pass 😂😂
That's why EVERY cars of the 24h should always have onboard camera ! Do it
in the german stream we saw the onboard of this
There's onboard footage of it. If the part of the live stream is up where this happened, it will be there
There is
The developers at gt sport need to see this because putting a wheel or 2 on the grass doesn't make your car completely spin out
Thank lord someone with a brain. I passed someone like this with that exact Porsche in GT sport and it worked.
Yep, they have to know that
This is why GT racing is more fun to watch than F1
Redwolf1204 yeah spec racing with less aero and dirty air you genius
@@edgiebraahhh7280 well not only because of that. vettel basically did same move (tho accidentally and more dangerous) but they gave him 5 seconds penalty and what am saying is that F1 is too restricted from races to even cars itself
@@rsh650 yeah but that's exactly what makes it more interesting
You know people are jealous when every single comments section on non-F1 racing highlights say "bEtTeR tHaN f1"
@@svstem6992 people are not jealous. People are saddened, angry that formula 1 has got stale and boring and much too restrictive in term of rules. They want F1 to return to it's former glory.
Overtake of the century!
-Müller: "I'm closing the door on this fool"
-Kévin Estre: "Hold my beer son"
BTW That 5sec penalty seems a little bit excessive in my opinion, even on the replay, you can barely see the flags. But great race overall.
congrats to Audi but Porsche really deserve that win
you mean 5min and 32 sec? oh yes that is so freaking a lot!
iirc. they weren't even WAVING the flag, they were holding it upright as if there's no flag zone at all.
@@ausalwahaibi6242 Why did he get a penalty?
@@minigungaming5915 He was 50+ km/h to fast in a 120 km/h zone.
@@Maenfy wow, how do you even do that?
5 seconds penalty for Vettel
Lol
2 wheels were still on the track.
@@haroldtaylor6022 i know, but FIA is blind😂

Everybody: what is this ''racing'' ?
Estre/24H: i'll show you
FiA: hold my regulation book
As long as 2 wheels are touching the road, it's not considered illegal
Ugh... not another “everybody:” post hungry for likes
@@Maartwo depends on track and arrager m8
@@Maartwo just in the european rules is allowed, in the uk rules it is ilegal that porsche driver had big balls to do that, that overtake is just fantastic, thats what racing should be.
@@Maartwo that wasn't the problem. Problem is Car #911 got disqualified

On earth.
Yeah, literally at 270 kph

lol
Bruh 👌🏻😂
They say you cut the course
GT Races: WHAT A FANTASTIC MOVE!
F1: HE OVERTOOK ME OFF TRACK!
Kevin Estre was a class of the field at 24 hours of Nurburgring Nordschleife. Whenever he was in the car, he was outpacing competition. Brilliant performance from that Porsche crew, they came very close to the victory.
His brain gets directly connected to the Porsche when he enters, I swear.
he did it again at Spa
2021 as well
Kevin born to drive for Porsche
Balls of steel to make that pass at that speed
Kevin takes no prisoners. What a racer! We just love him.
24hrs of racing? More like
24hrs of absolute joy
Although
What’s the difference?
Spelling, that's about it.

That porsche is amazing. Amg:s and r8:s looked unbeatable for a few years but porsche came back.
the r8 won, porsche came 2nd
Kevin Estre in his Porsche hunting down and overtaking Maro Angel's Mercedes, will be one of the most iconic moments of GT racing, of all time.
Need that full race part 3 for the weekend 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I remember seeing this live
Yeah I remember watching this and thinking, "That's crazy!!" half the car was off track and on the grass.....legendary!
Dale Bouwman
N-Nani... grass dorifto
Same here
Kevin Estre is truly a great driver his last win at Spa 24h was inspired also he drove his heart out in very difficult conditions and made the other guys look slow. Which they are not. Would love him to be in the Blancpain series again.
As much as I loved this pass, the pass for the lead at the end of the Bathurst 12hour this year edges this one out.
In one word: Awesome
Il incroyable ce mec
J en ai eu des frissons
❤
It really was amazing
Amazing, simply Amazing Kévin
Great driver, fantastic car, amazing race! Stay safe!
Other drivers: rules are made to be followed
Kevin Estre: (makes his own rules casualy)
My left ear really enjoyed the commentary
Very nice overtake Porsche first 💪🏿
Kevin "Balls of Steel" Estre!!!
Mercedes-AMG and Porsche ❤
He just pulled the initial D if he wasn't paying attention you have to realize this what he did was legendary but there was so many factors that led him to be able to pass for one there was another driver on the right side of the track so he knew in front of him his opponent will be blocking from the left so what he did was before that will happen he was trying to close in the gap just enough time to swerve out and put his two wheels on the grass knowing that is going to be a long straight away so he basically locking in the steering wheel tight with very little movement and he made sure that not all of his car weight is on the grass if he did he would have crashed for sure so what he did was he just put two tires on there just enough to squeeze on by and accelerate but he didn't stepped on it for sure he did a gradual step there was he sees his opponent slides out the way he went in full throttle and put his two wheels back on the pavement and took flight leaving him not to crash without that straight away it would not be possible it'll be very difficult but he knew that it was going to be a long straight away with very little movement he just took the opportunity and closing the gap that's the reason why he passed without slipping out of control if he were to put his whole car mostly on the grass then he will most likely crash and slip out of control that's why he kept those two tires on that track pavement and most of the car body weight on there so he's able to just bring back the car right back on the road is an amazing move don't get me wrong a pro driver can do it even I know them and I can do it you just got to wait for the right place at the right time.
Kevin Ester is crazy but wow wow wow. How racing should be. Hats off to you sir.
👏👏👏 You have new Fan
Kevin
Porsche 4 ever 💪
l hope you will make similar video with all Audi battles, there were a lot awesome moves, fights and moments :)
Cool. Cool. Cool cool cool. Where is Part 3 of the race?????
If I’m not mistaken the defending was illegal as soon as he moved over the second time. He moved left, showed sign of leveling off, then moved left as soon as the 911 made a move. I thought you were only allowed to make one defensive move (move left or right) then its all up to the cars and drivers.
It's GT racing x) And the Mercedes lets a place to the Porsche, not like Piana with Rast. So for me it's hard racing, but it's racing
He gave him some space to get into the track after they were on the same level.
BRILLIANCE FOR ALL THE MARBLES
Estre for President!!
AWESOME
Best Dog Fight i have seen this year
Kevin Estre is the Lawnmower Man 😊
Oh and I want those tires that stick to grass for my car.
George Russell approves your comment, after the Emily Romagna F1 Grand Prix crash between Bottas and him. Oh, and he also wants to spot Kevin Estre's location for some tips 😁 .
1:16 is that a god😳
Estre should enter the Paris Dakar!
man i think i finally found my driver to follor his skills are amazing man
perfect
10 x more excitement in a race like this compared to the insomnia cure called F1.
Part 3 please
Estre and Marciello are The best GT drivers in The world.
major facts
Estre is a real pro race car driver.
The mercs werent with such a good top speed even though they were tuff to overtake cause even being 'old' gt3s they still pretty competitive... so it's a great overtake from Porsche guy
Unlike his opponent, the only thing on Kevin's car that was dirty in that overtake were his tires.
Nice to know that this trick I use in Gt sport actually works in real life!
"Try to stop me getting past, that's fine I'll get through on the grass"
Alex Albon
I was expecting diffrent view replays of that legendery pass
Kevin 😙😙😙
Wow yeh looks amazing, all top class race cars awesome.. wait is that a vauxhall calibra
I Managed about 6 to 8 hours on and off, of the N24 on live stream this year, there is no better endurance race in the world than the N24 and yet Le Mans gets the hype and Glamour for some reason.
The N24 has a far superior circuit, 160 cars on the grid and tge range of cars are from the 1970s to 2019 GT3 and has far far less room on track for lesser drivers. Dare I say it but its a real Man's race with little interference from the rules and its all the better for it and before anyone moans about my man's race comment, I know there were women racing as well.
It simply is the best track for endurance racing. The one and only purpose build endurance racing track. Even one lap is worth the word "endurance".
Great race , please any one have a link of Kevin Estre’s personal camera !!?
Geez that’s bravery indeed
ACC deserve this track
It's cool to see that almost the entire grid has a Gran Turismo sticker on the windshield
when he encounters someone as fearless just like him he uses the grass
Estre knows which part of the circuit's glass has traction.
The hand of Dale Earnhardt came from beyond the grave and guided that Porsche safely past the Merc. Great racing!!
Genau
You said sportsman ship or not sportsman's ship? I don't know German.
@@michaelarkell5437 not
Agree 100%. Making that block (exaggerating his own overtaking manouver "as an excuse") at 276 km/h, Müller takes the whole situation beyond "rules of the sport". BTW if that move is allowed, then the rules should be changed in my opinion. Estre got the pass and the glory. Amazing move!
I honestly did not expect him to commit to it
Anyone else here in anticipation for 2020 24H? :D
It was heartbreaking to see him and the team come second because his teammate driver got penalty for ignoring yellow flag. They were leading with over 30 second margin. Kevin ran a crazy last stint but it was not possible.
However he won the next year !!!!!!
This video alone is more entertaining than the entire 2018 f1 season
Estre has gigantic balls.
Fuscão é foda
I dunno how many times I’ve had to go into the grass to overtake on the Nurburgring
that kind of reminds me of Marquez vs Dovi at Motegi 18'
New to this, what does the flashing light in the windshield mean? Thx
All cars that qualify for the Top Qualifying get that Blue light, it's there to signal the slower cars that a fast car is right behind them.
Wait until the Dacia activate warp speed mode
It takes some serious stones to put two wheels off to make the pass, but in most cases when you are committed you execute the move.
This Guy have balls of steel 😮 Imagine the mercedes driver on his mirror
He took touch some grass serious
there is no onboard of this? :(
I'm new to this. Is blocking illegal?
Reptar one defensive move only is allowed
love the amg gt3
Dale Earnhardt would be proud. Great racing from both drivers.
Kevin Estre figured out the iracing grass gate first lol
Now that's racing. None of that DRS nonsense.
Have to imagine Senna nodding in approval at this one. Gap = taken.
Did he pasted him in the last round?
No he didn't.
Why does this look like gran turismo?
Great overtake. But the Pass on the grass belongs to Dale Earnhardt ;)
Glad someone else remembers Earnhardt going through the grass!
don't forget about Marc Marquez at last year's Motegi
*Porsche:* Lemme just turn on rally mode real quick.
😀😀😀
The modern gutter run😱
Honestly the AMG blocked his path leaving him with little choice but to do that. He should not have blocked and have respected his space and moved to the right instead or at least make it clear that he wanted him to take the inside long before that.
Just another day in FM7...🤷♂️🤷♂️
Hmm... in the old days or maybe in private lobbys, but in hopper... naaa. Next corner u got smashed in the wall.
His 2021 grass move was more ballsy than this one!!! Both great moves tho
Meanwhile, going off circuit at all in Raceroom Racing Experience is like running off into a tar pit...
270 kph... time to cut some grass in the garden.
if it was F1, 5 minutes penalty
