Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Homestuck is an Internet fiction series created by American author and artist Andrew Hussie. The fourth and best-known of Hussie's four MS Paint Adventures, it originally ran from April 13, 2009 to April 13, 2016. Though normally described as a webcomic, and partly constituted by a series of single panel pages, Homestuck also relied heavily on Flash animations and instant message logs to convey its story, along with occasional use of browser games.
Its plot centers on a group of teens who trigger the inevitable destruction of Earth by installing the beta version of an upcoming computer game, Sburb. The teens soon come into contact with a group of Internet trolls who are revealed to be horned aliens, and these trolls work with the kids to create a new universe by completing the game. It has been noted for its complex and nonlinear plot, considerable length at over 8,000 pages and 1,200,000 words, and intensely devoted fan community.

Jake's chromatics here perfectly capture how he's basically at the same exact emotional keel the entire time- no variance at all. He's just "golly" the entire time and that's about it
Jake absolutely driving people around him insane by just not being super attentive and not being easy to affect emotionally is absurdly funny and relatable
Glad something beautiful can come from the scene in homestuck that causes me the most physical pain
Personally, the scene that brings me the most pain is the one i believe not too long after this where Caliborn talks to Jane... horrible. This one is certainly not far off, though!

Long story short, Jane is John's grandmother (usually called Nana) but in an alternate universe where she essentially takes John's place because another character reset the timeline through a method called the 'Scratch'. Jane and Nana are the same person but not the *same* person, if that makes sense

It’s based on the webcomic Homestuck! This comes from a scene where the characters Jake and Jane are fighting because Jake didn’t realize Jane had a crush on him, so he got with one of her best friends on her birthday after her dad went missing (EXTREMELY pared down version of the explanation, there’s also a bunch of wild sci fi stuff happening at the same time)
