They also make Vector 2.0, and are still fulfilling orders for that. I received mine. They are legit, just swamped with back orders. They are a small, relatively new company that bit off more than it could chew, and then there was the EMO pet lawsuit on top of all that. They are good guys, just expanded their workload too fast

A new update would be nice. It’s now been a year since the last update. And not even a good or useful production update. Preordered 3 years ago and I’ve seen maybe a total of 3 minutes worth of updates. DDL might want to consider replacing their CZcams/Social Media team to get more relevant or helpful content out on a more frequent basis.

Some people 3D print them. The hard part is the motor control and logic. It's kind of a lot to pack into that package. Done well it'll take 5 motors and a decent amount of compute power, and a good sized battery. $300 retail is insanely cheap, the $150 pre-order price is almost certainly losing them money. Home built you could probably make a decent one for a couple thousand dollars and a couple years of effort.
I don't know what to think ... At least , I hope its worth the wait ... But my optimism veils my melancholy ... Wonder if their original idea would have been fine before they started making upgrades , if a few lines of dialog would have made me happy before it had AI put into ! ( Shoulder shrug )

Yes, cancel but be prepared to fight to get a refund because DDL won't refund your money. Especially if the charge has been on your bank account for a long time. I had to write a hand written letter to my credit card company to get my refund for the Butter Robot since the charge was on there for two years. This Butterbot will never get made. Vector's servers have been offline for at least 2 months.
