Yeah too band they hardly used them on their new album. Most were done on a MacBook.
The Nordic Tribal Like sound is gone.
I realize bands want to grow. Nan wanted a new direction. I respect that but most songs sound like current pop songs. This is their most chill album full of songs that will be picked up by EDM producers.
Their live show blew my mind. It was a couple years ago but to this day, it’s the best show I’ve ever seen. The intimacy, the acoustics, and above all the people making the music...it was literally perfect. Everyone involved clearly knew what they were doing. I wish I could relive it. The venue they were at is reliably/consistently excellent too though (Revention Center) so I’m sure that helped

I understand the complaint, but the recorded song overdrives her voice the way U2 did with Zoo Station. I think it was an artistic choice made by Hilmarsdóttir that the engineers honored on the show with Alligator.
Andy Romaq Smith even if it was intentional, I do think it backfired a little bit. It didn’t sound very pleasant. I respect it but I think it didn’t work out.

I want Nana’s outfit, her eyeshadow is awesome, I love how her guitar matches what she wore, and now I want to cut my hair short so I can wear it like she did.
And did anyone notice how you can tell exactly when Raggi comes in? His voice is so unique.
Now if she'd only lose the nose ring. She is such a beautiful gal and her beauty stands on it's own but I can't get past the visual that a lead rope needs to be attached to that nose ring and having her guided through the pasture like a cow. Why does anyone believe that's attractive. IT'S NOT!
@@homerdokes8578 oh come on, she is so beautiful the way she is, especially in this particular red style she looks gorgeous, and the nose ring looks awesome on her. It is some kind of modern colorful gothic style, I really do like it.

@@soiboi5032 In their interview with billboard, they said that most of their fan will have a hard time with this album because it's different and they will compare it to My Head is an Animal and Beneath the Skin. They don't want to stay with the same sounds, they never made rules to stick with one sound who most people think of them as a cute indie band. They simply are amazing for making new sounds and everything is amazing like their old work but differently

@Anson Hartzler exactly, but what I meant is like they don't use auto time on their songs all the time to the point where you go a listen to them live, then they sound completely different as other singers do

Jessie Gonzalez Miranda : hi! Huge fan of this band. But, i am pretty sure she is lip syncing the chorus, it sounds identical to the album and I have never heard her belt notes that high live. It’s one of the reasons I am iffy on this album so far compared to their last one. Any thoughts? Not trying to start an internet argument haha, I am a huge fan and none of my friends are so just looking for a different opinion...
Best song on the album in my opinion. They’re honestly one of the greatest sounding bands live. Just as good, if not even better than the album version. OMAM always killing it.

The reason people, or at least me, love the band queen is how versatile they were. Each of their songs could be so different from the ones made by others and even them before, but in the end they added a unique queen feel to it that made them all a part of something kind of bigger. I know that omam is a little different than before, but let's admit it, they have always been different and in my eyes they are still the best band ever. I was at first too a little skeptical and a little too busy to give a thorough look on their album, but I must say they have added a unique omam feel to the songs that only they can do. And again, they are still my favourite band. Cheers to them and their new album.

I remember when these guys first showed up on my radar. iTunes was still doing that Free Single of the Week thing and ‘Little Talks’ was the feature one week. Downloaded it for free off iTunes, became obsessed, and then immediately bought and downloaded their first EP. Been listening ever since and they’ve yet to disappoint 👍
