    Old technology? Last I checked, microphone tech has been pretty consistent for the past.. idk... forever. Microphones have always worked fundamentally the same.

    The Yeti might be old, but does anyone talk about the SM58 whenever they're at a live concert?

    Legendary mic, but it does needs some modernization. It sounds like singing over the sock. For example: Sennheiser/AKG/SE have all made mics that sounds much cleaner and have better sound quality. Explain that @Shure :) And why not made the handle or a capsule a bit square so it does not rolls over when you put it on a flat surface. If new design came out everyone would start buying it and Shure would make a lot of money.

      They have the Beta 57 Dynamic which is enhanced compared to the SM58. If you brighter again go for their handheld Condenser SM86 or the Beta87 in Cardioid or Super-Cardioid.. They have everything covered Mate… 👌

      If they made it square, then it wouldn't fit the average microphone holder for mic stands. Most dynamic microphones are round.

      Makes Reddit type posts about a 100 dollar 60 year old mic. True winner here

      You've got to be the only person who wants a square microphone. Bro, what about square wheels? Could that be the future?

    I have a few vintage Shure SM58 microphones which have degraded foam cartridge tops, does anyone know if you can buy replacements for these? Not the foam windshield the foam which sits on top of the actual cartridge, thanks in advance

      Hi, i think i can help. Not with a direct replacement piece, but how to DIY the job

      been looking for that too.. ever find one? crazy they dont sell them .

    • @deboaz398
      @deboaz398 Před 3 lety +1

      @@MrChopemup they dont't sell. But take a grill foam, cut it using a coin of compatible diameter to get a circle and put very little super glue points on the area almost on the edge of the cartridge, but before those "PIN HEADS", then put the foam and press it with a wire circle (like those circles that hold on our house door keys together).

    • @deboaz398
      @deboaz398 Před 3 lety

      @@MrChopemup the delicate part of this process is the super glue: don't go much further with it because it can go down across the holes and reach the membrane, destroing it

    • @deboaz398
      @deboaz398 Před 3 lety

      @@MrChopemup oh, and if you find a flat foam (not a mic grill foam) but with same densidity and size , better because its not "curved"
