These videos tutorials typically fail to mention the phone type: for example, mine is Galaxy S22 AT&T, so the steps kindly offered here fail. I suspect the presenter had already set up a default account, or maybe he has an MS account; so the steps work for his phone.
Setting up an e-mail client is not intended to be easy or logical as none of the hosts follow a set standard. The incoming and outgoing port numbers must be correct, and the default host name that appears in manual setup is almost always incorrect. You can play with the settings manually, but to save time and be spared of needless frustration, get support from your ISP.

I am following you instructions, but it is giving me yahoo instead of outlook, I am selecting Outlook but it keeps coming the yahoo, I don't want the yahoo, what should I do?

Followed your instructions clicked on add account, put in my email and then received something went wrong[1001]. Shut off autosync on my laptop but not sure what my next step would be. Samsung galaxay S22.
