I totally get everything you said about Assistant To The Villain. I also was a little thrown off when I started it because I expected it to have more fantasy but I ended up absolutely loving it. It was just a fun time for me and I’m looking forward to the second one.
Oh, my goodness, I love the cover of Hooky! It sounds like a terrific read. I'm not a big romance reader, but I'm more apt to pick up one without a lot of spice. 🤣 Enjoyed getting to see your progression, Leandra.

Oh AttV I've seen around but wasnt sure what it was about. This sounds intriguing. Both of these books sound cute and cozy.
I keep forgetting to comment on these vlogs. I've watched them I swear! I was not enamored with Assistant to the Villain either. Hooky sounds very cute with some more adult themes which is nice to see in a middle grade.

Assistant to The Villain was a really good book. It was a 5-star read from me

I REALLY Enjoyed assistant to the villian but even i can admit the pacing was a bit all over the place!!
I really don't know if i wanna read Assistant to the Villain. I've heard so many mixed things and i've heard that it needs to work for your sense of humor, which is an incredibly subjective thing. So bold choice to recommend a book like that during a competition like this
I wonder if the lack of spice is the reason people thought Assistant to the Villain didn't belong in Romantasy. I think a lot of the Goodreads Romantasy are spicy, but closed door, or non-spicy romance is still romance.
I came to this conclusion as well, which is very funny to me because romances are definitely allowed to exist without spice, but I guess our Romantasy people really prefer it be in there! 😂
As someone who gave Assistant to the Villain 4.5 stars....2.75 really hurts. Lol.
