Great interview with Doug guys! Thanks!
Go Team Kalitta!!!
I’m so happy I watch 45 minutes of people talking
The NHRA is doing Ford dirty.
Yep summit and jegs pulled all speedmaster parts off there shelves. And said no longer selling there parts. That’s what I’ve been reading on the net.
better start checking Enders
The lack of communication from the NHRA Teck department is just astounding. Continued Incompetence. So this means all of Tasca's manifolds are useless ?
An easy stupid decision is make everyone use a cnc milled intake.
Fill it up with water and declare a maximum cc allowed, just like heads are checked for compression.
This allows real tuning in the runners, and creativity in casting. It can be checked for thickness for safety.
They use cast intake manifolds on a billet Top Fuel block?
It's the best way to form complex parts.
It was really dang cool to see John Force do that pass on Friday night
2 questions
Wasn't speedmaster allegedly selling illegal parts ??
( thought I saw something about something between them and summit)
And in regards to the Tasca situation
The NHRA needs to clarify "modification" it's a slippery slope
Is putting a decal on a car modification ?
Is welding or sanding a part
, which may or may not change the color, modifying ??
Or could a substitute driver who maybe taller or shorter be a modification??
Do you mean _non-conforming_ parts?
Speedmaster got busted for selling reverse engineered Chines made parts. I just read an article about a Broaders valve body. Apparently someone returned it to Broaders for warranty and it was in a Speedmaster box. Broaders makes their own in the USA. When the company in China was told to reverse engineer and build the valve bodies, instead of casting Speedmaster on it, they cast it with Broaders. It said that Summit refunded the customer and quit selling anything made by Speedmaster.
@@jeffs4576woah!
Ah, "common sense" and the NHRA, never the twain shall meet.
The Harley Pro Stock debacle comes to mind, amongst a dozen others.
The worst thing about the NHRA is the NHRA!
No it's haters
Go home Bob
Tasca has had a sudden jump to being the fastest Funny Car. If he's breaking rules, he should be penalized. If you're caught breaking one, you've likely broken more and have simply not been caught yet. ....Herrera comes to mind for this too...
speedmaster... what a joke . they should show how they tried to copy broader performance then was dropped from summit and jegs !!!
This is another black eye on NHRA. Wonder why people have flocked to Street Outlaws and Radial racing.
Its Funny Car not pro stock. Fuel,Cu. In., Blower Size, Weight. Tasca is a pro, Okahara's are pros. NHRA is bought and paid for.
I will say that NHRA is kind of doing bob Taska dirty. That’s not cool in HRA at this stage in the game should be able to like accept it and kind of like OK maybe we can get more performance out of these cars but it’s like NHRA just kind of wants to push it back.
