I know, all the Bitbros on my social have been surprisingly quiet in the last 9 months.
He's not the only one to draw these comparisons and predict the collapses, but darn if he wasn't both right and very clear about why.

The problem everyone seems to be forgetting or ignoring is that blockchain, while secure, is a horribly inefficient way of storing information. This from someone who started a crypto startup 2 years ago. I think investing in baseball cards is the most comparable and Bitcoin and Ethereum are simply the most trusted baseball card companies with the most history and endorsements.

NFTs are great for video game items aka decentraland which is nuts you can own property one guy sold his main area by the casino for over 500k in MANA which is over a dollar last I saw so for video games and artists it’s great. Coffee, I’ve been getting scammer ads cause I’ve been watching you. At first it was entertaining, then it was annoying, but after thinking about it for a minute it’s actually genius.
A ton of people watching you are likely experiencing the same thing I am, but they’re watching *you*, so the scam ads they see won’t be effective (hopefully).
More than that, those ad dollars are actually being wasted because the ads aren’t finding their intended audience. They’re finding us, the people watching you.
So not only are you trying to keep people from getting scammed with your content, thanks to you, ad dollars being spent by scammers are actually being wasted on people who are predisposed against them.

The thing with these cryptos is that they are pennies on the dollar with a lot of liquidity coming regardless of how useful they are. What Coffee failed to mention is Doge is and will be used to buy things in real life. So a meme/joke could become a crypto of the future
The big time catalyst to the dot com bubble bursting was that interest rates rose to a level that made fixed income more attractive as an investment. So the “smart” money sold their riskier stocks and bought bonds.. then.. stock market crash📉 (basic supply & demand)
Interest rates are incredibly low today but I still stay away from overvalued stocks.. you never know what the next catalyst will be for a crash or when it will come- a year ago it was COVID.. who could’ve predicted that?

Great take, I'm close to hitting my decade in crypto and this has been relevant all along. Also if you're in profits on anything "to the moon" which I have been many times, just sell. I would have so much more money if I did. There's nothing stopping you from buying it back.
