The bracelets on those 1990s Seamasters are, to this day, arguably the best ever made. They're distinctive and about as comfortable as a bracelet could get

Yeah I think the current Seamaster barecelt is worse. Having said that I was never a fan of the 90s version either. Rolex is hard to beat.

I’ve watched a lot of GR over the years and met him about 12 years ago and he has had his yellow dial watch for years and nearly exclusively. It must mean a lot to him.

Hey Nico, I think Gordon's Explorer is a 16550, the 16570 has black outlines around the hour markers, while the 16550 has white gold outlines. The patina on the dial is also unique to the 16550, as they fixed it in the 16570! This watch is much more expensive than the 16570 due to its collectibility! It's about 25k vs the 7-8k of the 16570 now. Love your content!
it's also 39mm, not 44! they made it bigger in the 216570! but the 16550 and 16570s are 39mm

I believe the cream "rail" dial explorer II is a reference 16550 transitional reference. I own one myself and the cream dial is something else
I completely agree with you, sir. I own the Spider Rail dial,black, and would buy the Panna cream Rail Dial in a heartbeat, but the high prices are beyond me unfortunately.

And the older generation of the explorer 2 doesn’t have 44mm, it has 40. Look it up!
Nico, Gordon is wearing a 16550 Explorer 11, the precursor to the 16570 (what you say it is). The 16550 is a much rarer interim model which introduced the white dials after the 1655 & was only made for about 4 years (between 1985 & 1988). The price can be way more expensive than a 16570 (nearly 3 times for the most expensive) depending on the colour the dial has changed to - all are different - you show an Explorer 11 with white gold hands & hour markers, this was only on the 16550, the 16570 has black

I have the Omega that you destroyed. I like it. My grandmother passed away about 7 years ago and left me a little bit of money, I couldn't afford a second hand Rolex so I got the Omega. It's the small dial. It's old but in good condition. It's sentimental.
2531.80 is one of the best Omegas ever made. The bracelet is the smooth as butter, does not pinch hair, and has a dual clasp. Bracelet is the best I've seen from Omegas, and I have a few.
