  • The unboxing and installation of the KDK K14X5 remote controlled ceiling fan.
    My first time installing a ceiling fan, made the right choice of the remote controlled type, to avoid the fuss of conventional regulators, which also leaves you with a tidier and cleaner wall.

    That KDK ceiling fan model in the Dominican Republic is not common to see, or I think that model is new in the Dominican Republic since 2020, but people buy the one with steel blades because the blade models are made in the DR. You can put lamps on it and those models are the M56LG,M56XG,N56LG,N56YG,BX56X5

      Thank you on your kind sharing of the info. I love this fan of mine and I think it could blow the wind much efficiently, and lasts much longer with those steel blades that you've mentioned. Mine still works marvelously in spite of all these years and had been moved once since I've shifted homes, but the blade edges are starting to rust on the sides that faces the direction of the rotation, and I believe that steel will not rust if it's stainless steel. By the way, thanks for watching 🙏

      Thanks 😊 Was using the rear lenses, so had to do some frame setting to make sure I don't lose my forehead or chin in the recording 😁 Tried to cut as much of unnecessary scenes, but still end up with a 16 minutes video 🤔

    Hows the fan after 3 years? Still working so good?

    • @LeoChaplin
      @LeoChaplin  Před rokem

      Oh yes, it is still working wonderfully 👍👍 I've even shifted it to my new house for 5 months now, and by properly uninstalling, repacking, and reinstalling it, it spins perfectly like new 👍👍

    What's the length of the M10 bolts?

    • @LeoChaplin
      @LeoChaplin  Před 2 lety +1

      I didn't measure it in exact, but I'm pretty sure it was around 30 mm. By the way, thanks for watching 🙏 🙂

      I've thought of using the same method as doing the balancing on car tires. I will make a video if it works ok.

      Use proper sized wrench or torque wrench to tighten the mounting nut/bolt. Size 12 and 13mm. Don't use plier etc. Tighten very tight until the metal piece bend inward. If still not effective purchase ceiling fan balancing kit and paste the weight on the blade that is out of balance.

    • @LeoChaplin
      @LeoChaplin  Před 4 lety

      @@diysg1632 I wish I could use wrenches, but the bolts provided are actually screws with heads that only could be tighten with Phillips screwdrivers. Yes, I am going to use the balancing kit 👌

      @@izfida Yes exactly, and the worry is there, that the little wobble might wear out the hook's rubber pulley in long run, and this might lead to bigger wobbles in the future.
