Hey man, just watched it. You've done a great job! I love the new Chinese projects. Unlike the desert dreams of the sheiks, they look like proper metropolitan development. It didn't occur to me before but watching your video, I noticed that I much prefer skyline views (from a distance) to closeups (looking up) or pans. Regarding your comment about Ping An, that's bound to happen as developers don't always see their original plans through. Take care!

Yeah I tried to follow Adrian's style as closely as possible, hence why some of the songs start on certain buildings.

Brandon Caleb I know that, but I'm still not sure how I feel about spires. The 2nd tallest building in Dallas has a spire that adds quite a bit of height. But without the spire it's not as tall as one might think
Yeah. The Wilshire Grand Tower in L.A. Is taller than the US Bank Tower, The US Bank is 310m and the Wilshire Grand Tower is 335m but if you take the Wilshire Grand Tower's antenna out, the Wilshire Grand Tower is 285m so it'll be shorter than the US Bank. The US Bank has no spire/antenna and has a flat roof, and the Wilshire Grand Center has a spire and it is the first building in LA that has no flat roof, it has a curved roof.
spires looks nice in a building so I think it will be a better way of counting it as a hight
DesertEmpire801 I don't mind spires as long as the building tapers into the spire(ex. Burj Khalifa, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building). It blends together. What bothers me is a building with a flat roof and then a spire that looks tacked on. It just seems like a cheating way to obtain height. I live in Philly and the new Comcast Technology Center they're constructing has a flat roof with a spire off to the side. The roof is a little over 900' with the spire taking the building to a height of 1,121'.

The Kingdom Tower will be 1007 meters tall, and will be completed in 2020 not 2019. Also, where is the Federation Tower that was completed a while ago and is 603 meters tall?

+kaz9781 one of the variant name of this tower was 'mille tower' as it was supposed be 1600m (1 mille ), unfortunabely there is a quote : " unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand" here we can take it litteraly -> the building can't be this high as the ground isn't though enought, so they reduced it to mille meters ( mille = 1000 in french )

I can also come up with the concept of a 50km high tower, doesn't mean it's the tallest skyscrapper.

Loved this video and done just as well as any other top 10 video or better, but to be honest though China is gonna go into a population decline within the next decade or two. There a little over there heads considering there massive problems including pollution, Philippine disputes, UN pressures, Efficient energy, Googles defiance and withdraw, riots and outdated military, and a number of other economic problems including quality decline and withdraws from developing nations. Those skyscrapers are gonna be done in a time were there not needed as much.

I think the to build such grandiose "pencils"- skyscrapers , which is have still being further developed almost everywhere in the world (especially addicted to it today in Asia), in the future will be seen as is very bad and short-sighted investments. Such buildings are very irrational - they are not only expensive to build, but they are very expensive to operate. It's time to face the truth, after all twenty-first century - the time of rational use of resources and energy. And it is very possible that already in the next 15-20 years the renters simply to leave these are too expensive, and by the time not very comfortable architectural monsters.
Maybe it's time to change our the strategy of construction and begin to build not only for boast of one, but for the convenience and comfort of people ? We think that our cities are waiting the new architecture.
