I looked at a lot of reviews online, but they were very inconsistent, especially how much they may or may not crack as they air dry.

Heres an idea, follow the process up to 3:22 and then repeat, making a second pot of the same size. Score and slip both rims and attach them. Now you have a hollow vessel to make anything with! I remember this from my senior year pottery class.
Is this possible to do in 55 mins? I haven’t been paying attention for the 5 days we got and now I gotta get a good grade and I have one class left to make it
Great tutorial - my instructor won't let us use water yet because we are in the beginner class. It's been rough, because the clay cracks. He also said "the clay should be paper thin" and then my pot collapses because it was too thin. 0_0 why.....

Paddling also helps to compress the clay walls but it also makes it dry a little faster

I'm using Archie Bray Clay Stoneware, Cone 10. I don't recommend any air dry clay. hahhaa. sorry

For drinking, I like mid range - high fire clay bodies that fire to Cone 5 or hotter. This is a Cone 10 clay body I'm using.
