I’ve been saying for a while now it wouldn’t make sense for Nancy to go back to Steve. Character development or not-Nancy said from the start she doesn’t want to settle down and build a “nuclear family” meanwhile Steve wants 6 kids. They aren’t compatible. Jancy endgame.

If Jonathan and Nancy does end up together than that means Steve is going to die sadly in this final season I hope not but there’s a lot of speculation on Steve dying in this final season and it looks like that’s where The Duffers are going with this in this last season there’s no doubt that it won’t happen. 😢😭

What if he gets a close call and someone like Lucas dies instead. They’re gonna kill someone that nobody thinks will die. It’s simple writing.

I remember that I myself was more Stancy than Jancy but upon a recent rewatch and now I am more Jancy. Why did they decided to revive that love triangle for season 4? Couldn't they just have found someone to be a love interest for Steve even if she just appeared in a couple of episodes? Hopefully we get season 1 Jonathan and not stoner Jonathan, and he gets to do something important as he hasn't had much to do since midway through season 2.
I kinda think Jonathan will die by sacrifising himself for Nancy. Maybe Steve and Nancy will be endgame then and we might see at the end six little nuggets with papa steve.
I also can't imagine another woman Steve could love and kiss, other than Nancy. For him it was all about Nancy all along. There is even a love letter from him dedicated to her.

I really think the leaked audio from the stranger things set could be related to these pictures cuz like the audio sounded more like dustin or Jonathon than will and if it is jonathon it could be from the car scene with nancy, jonathon and steve.
If they do stay together, it makes me wonder why bring back the romance between Steve and Nancy in season 4 at all? He was already getting over her in season 3. As far as we knew, that door was closed. Steve and Nancy could have easily rekindled their friendship without any romantic implications at all if that wasn’t the play. It would be kind of annoying for the Stancy fans if they reopened that can of worms just to say psych it wasn’t going to lead anything…
Steve was never over her. In S3 he even started dating other girls to forget nancy, but he couldn't. Nancy was always in his mind. When he said to Robin he is over nancy, he obviously didn't mean it, because his actions spoke another language. He even risked his life for nancy in S3, when he crashed another car, so that Nancy couln't get hurt. When he spoke to Robin about Nancy he still was heartbroken and sad. Clearly he was not over her. He didn't want to admit it, because Nancy really broke his heart back then. But in S4 he pointed out, that Nancy was ALWAYS in his future dreams. And he also didn't want to admit, that he still has a thing for Nancy, when he have a conversation with Dustin about Nancy. Steve is the type of guy, who barely speaks about his true feelings. That's why it was so heartwarming when he told nancy about his dream and that she is his number 1, the most important part of all of this.
Steves character development was never about forgetting nancy and get over her. His development was about becoming a helpful protective guy with a big heart, who learned from his mistakes by making things better.

My point was that if the Duffers never wanted Steve and Nancy to be a thing ever again and always wanted Jonathan and Nancy to be together, then they could’ve made his storyline in season 3 work to where he wouldn’t have any feelings for her or did eventually get over her in between seasons 3 and 4 so that this love triangle was done for good and wouldn’t be a thing in seasons 4 and 5. They could’ve squashed it, but they didn’t. They continued on with his feelings for her and even teased her being conflicted about it in season 4. It was obviously for a reason.
Which is why I think if they go the “Jancy was endgame all along” route then they’d be repeating the same storyline they’ve done the whole show and the season 4 Nancy/Steve storyline would’ve been a giant waste of time.

@@Hallie0601 But they could’ve easily done that without any romantic implications. That’s my entire point. They would essentially be repeating the same exact storyline and arc in season 1 and 2, with Jonathan getting the girl, Nancy turning down Steve, and Steve getting heartbroken again.
I’m not arguing that the only way it’ll be worth it is if Nancy and Steve are for sure endgame, what I’m saying is there needs to be something different about the triangle this time around.

Thank you! I surely agree with you! Also i find it really noticeable that Robin, Dustin and even Eddie seemed to ship Nancy and Steve together! Their comments mean something in my opinion. Especially Eddies last advice to Steve getting Nancy back and the whole "True Love" speech. They included these moments and comments for a reason. Otherwise, like you said already, it would have been a waiste of time for Season 4, if the Stancy moments were pointless. So i am pretty sure Stancy might be endgame. Especially since we know they would be a big timeskip in S5 at some point and since Steve told Nancy about his dream with the six little nuggets, it seems very likely that his dream might come true. Why else the makers would let him say this? The only other reason for this might be an emotional impact for Steves potencial death, but i don't think so... It is a series and that means in other words: (Screen)time is money. So you don't include something without any point.
Season 2 was when number 8 appeared I think that is why we need to watch season two before season 5

The Photo of Nancy and Johnathon in Steve’s car matches up with the Pre-Vis video of Dustin,Johnathon, and Nancy in a car, which seems to be in the Upside down. My theory is that a group that stays in the upside down and a group that stays in Hawkins. We know some of the Upside Down group consists of Dustin,Johnathon, Nancy, and I’m assuming Steve. I assume Steve because it’s his car and he is watched a scene with Natalia and Charlie. A paparazzi photo of stranger things shows Steve’s Car with antenna on the top, acting as some sort of signal. Now about the Leaked video of someone telling Steve to run, it most likely wouldn’t have been Dustin because he in Steve’s Car which is with the upside group. I’m assuming that Will is apart of the Hawkins gang that hasn’t went into the upside down for some unknown reason? (Maybe Because Vecna, trauma, or some connection issue) So my theory is that Will could be sensing something or feeling something since he has a connection with the upside and with Vecna, so Will is yelling at Steve to run by maybe using a signal with the antenna.

If theh kill Jonathan and as a result of that Nancy chooses Steve, that would be a bummer. Steve isn't a second or backup choice. If Nancy really and genuinely cares for him, that's the only way they should get back together.

Well actually Steve was Nancys first boyfriend. Jonathan was back then her second choice, after her relationship with Steve was about to crumble. So she found comfort in Jonathan, because of shared trauma. Jonathan was during the whole time at her school, but he only became interesting for her, when they both missed their beloved ones. So before Barb died she clearly prefered the cool, popular guy named Steve over Jonathan. That's why i don't see Steve as a second choice. Especially after we saw a rekindle spark between Nancy and Steve. She already started to have feelings for him again. And even if Jonathan might die by sacrifising himself, i am pretty sure their relationship wouldn't have lasted. Jonathan already had plans to break up with her and since S3 she noticed that their understanding for each other wasn't that good anymore.

My PoV: You don't choose the right time to fall in love again. It just happens, when you expect it at least. It is a realistic szenario. Expecially since Stancy might be the "right person, wrong time" couple. Life and Destiny goes in their own direction and you can't help it, when you feel something again. Like i said, even if Jonathan might not die, Jancys break up as with Stancys rekindle love is a built up already. Either way i am sure Jancys relationship wouldn't have lasted, no matter if Jonathan dies or not. My theory is, that Jonathan and Nancy will have a conversation with each other, where Nancy finds out about his lie and that he wanted to break up with her, at the same time, she was going to tell him, that she has still feelings for Steve, but maybe won't admit it. But Jonathan will know that by seeing Nancy with Steve, how they interact with each other. I think at the end of the day, it wouldn't be a disaster for both of them to break up, since they can deal with it in a mature way. Jonathan just wants happiness for his girlfriend, like he made it clear already, even if it means she ends up with Steve. He is not a jealous, selfish, possessive guy. It is kinda the opposite.
I think he would handle that just fine, unlike Steve.... Because you can't deny that Steve is still heartbroken because of the break up... for him it was Nancy all along. ONLY Nancy. So another scene, where Nancy could break his heart for the second time, it would be too much for him. After all he has been through with all of his Lovesickness, i think he finally gets his happy ending at this point.
@@SnowDreamFlake Yup. In that case it's completely plausible and fine. I think Steve and Nancy are probably going to be end game as well. I just don't want the Duffers to kill off Jonathan and rekindle Stancy in a way that makes Steve a rebound. That's it.

I'm sure that Nancy is going to end up with Steve and the that Jonathan is going to die. Jonathan dying seems it will impact a whole bunch more stuff for season 5. Here's why I think it will happen...
- Jonathan told Will in season 2 that he's his best friend. And with being the first person to find out his sexuality (and accepting it) he told Will that he will always be there whenever he needs someone to talk to. So I think Vecna will have Jonathan killed off to torture Will.
- Joyce spent the first couple of seasons trying to save Will from the horrors of the Upside Down. Now she will really lose one of her sons.
- Jim is clearly going to marry Joyce in season 5. With that, Jim is going to try to be a good father for Will and Jonathan. So when Jonathan dies, Jim will feel like he failed to protect him, similar to how he felt with Sara.
- The Duffer Brothers revealed that Steve was supposed to die in season 1 and that Lonnie was supposed to be the one to help Jonathan and Nancy fight the Demogorgon. I was wondering why we never saw Lonnie's reaction upon finding out that Will is alive. Anyway, what if they decide to finally use Lonnie's scrapped redemption arc. Not saying it will happen, but just think. Perhaps Lonnie will find out that Jonathan died and with this world domination thing going on, he will decide to for once be a good father and try to save Will.
- They say Argyle is not going to return, but if Jonathan dies, Argyle needs to be there for the funeral. Argyle said how Jonathan is his best friend.
- Nancy will find out how Jonathan plans to go to Lenora Community with Argyle instead of Emerson with her. They will get into an argument about it. And after Jonathan dies, Nancy will think how their argument was stupid and they should have accepted things the way they were. Steve will be there to comfort her. And in an epilogue for the final scene, it will reveal that Steve achieved his fantasy in which the two have kids and drive across country in a camper to places like Yellowstone. They can named their oldest son after Jonathan. Nancy ending up with Steve is the main reason why I think Jonathan is going to die. But not because I ship them more. You see, with Jim and Joyce getting married, that would officially make El become Jonathan and Will's sister. And if Nancy were to marry Jonathan, that would make El and Mike in laws. That would be like saying Mike is in love with his sister. Almost like saying how Mr. Clarke was introduced to El as Mike's cousin and seeing them kiss at the school dance. So I think that Jonatan is going to be killed off for the sake of Mike and El's relationship.
A great and interesting Analysis! Thank you for this! It makes a lot of sense, why Jonathan might die and not Steve. I am sure the duffer brothers wouldn't separate Dustin and Steve from each other, especially after Dustin lost Eddie already. Besides Jonathan would be a perfect victim for Vecna to get what he wants from Will. So Jonathans death will effect Joyes Life, Wills Life and Nancys life. If Steve would die there wouldn't be parents to grieve over him. He has no family, "just" friends who care for him. But Jonathan on the other hand would left his family, friends and his girlfriend behind. A lot bigger impact. Besides it would make much more sense that Jonathan will die by sacrifising himself. That would be a meaningful storyline for him and a big development. He started as a creepy stalker, without any special traits, he was an outsider and unimpressive. But in S5 he could die a true unforgotten hero! I don't see that outcome for Steve to be honest, because for the Fans he is a hero already. His death wouldn't be something special, because he risked his life many times already, for Nancy and the Kids. The plot of S5 wouldn't be "A hero dies a hero" you know. Well at least for me it makes much more sense that Vecna will choose Jonathan over Steve.
@@SnowDreamFlake Yeah, I think they'll want to have Dustin make sure he doesn't lose Steve the same way he lost Eddie. In season 3, he said "If you die, I die." So I'm sure we'll see the two together and Steve could say that as a callback. People even say how we might get to see Steve's dad in this season. He was only ever mentioned in season 1 in which Steve described him as a grade A-asshole. People have theorized he might be played by Bruce Campbell. Clearly that's not going to happen, but that would be great casting for Steve's dad. People even said that if Steve dies, his dad can get revenge on the monsters. It is always great to see Bruce say "Groovy". Lots of people say if Jonathan dies, he'll have no impact. But everything you and I discussed prove he'll have an enormous impact, bigger than Steve's.
And if you want to hear more theories/predictions from me, let me know. I think I know what Max's storyline is going to be. Someone said that I gave him chills talking about it because it really does sound like something the Duffer Brothers would write.

I only can imagine that Steves dad comes back, if Steve survives and gets a happy ending. It wouldn't make sense to me, bringing his dad back just so he could watch his son dying, burryng him and grieve over him at his grave. After all these years without any contact, there might be a happy ending for steve and his father to reconcile with each other, other than meeting each other again after all these years just being separate again forever? I don't think so.
So IF his dad returns, i only can imagine this option in a good way.
Also the close and emotional scene of Will and Jonathan in S4, when they hugged each other and Jonathan compforts Will, might be also a sign, that the two brothers have to say good bye to each other. Their brotherhood was always a big aspect of Jonathans character anyway. Maybe even his biggest trait being a caring older brother. And like you said Jonathan might be the only one, who noticed Wills true feelings he has for Mike. So maybe in S5, long before Jonathan dies and everything becomes a mess, he could have a last emotional conversation with Will, by saying he should confess his feelings or he shouldn't hide his true self! And that he loves him like he is, no matter his sexuality. I think that could be very likely. Giving his little brother the strength he needs to be confident enough and believing in himself.

@@SnowDreamFlake The person that I told this theory too that I said got chills from this, I worked with him at Halloween Horror Nights. He looked exactly like Argyle's actor. Not that we worked in the Stranger Things 4 house. Still though, we were both scare actors and we became friends with the people in that house and we told a lot of our theories. Anyway, here's my prediction for Max in season 5...
Because of El restarting Max's heart, Vecna will decide to take advantage of this situation. When Max's bones have healed, he will use his powers to heal Max's eyesight and then posses her body. While pretending to be Max, Vecna will give the group "ideas" for their plan, but it's really a way to lure them into a trap. The characters will notice how Max isn't being herself; mostly El, Lucas, and Susan. For example, Max will have no interest for the movie date she and Lucas agreed on in The Piggyback. El uses her powers to go inside Max's mind and there she sees Vecna. They use chloroform or something to put Max to sleep and then tie her up, similar to what they did to Will in season 2 when it was revealed he was a spy. I think Susan will be told the truth on what's going on, and there is a reason why I think she should be informed, but I will go into that later. El explains to everyone how when Vecna kills people. their consciousness ends up in his mind. So El says that she will need to go into Vecna's mind to free Max. Mike thinks it's too dangerous, but El says she has to try. So she goes in and ends up in a place similar to the Mind Lair. She ends up in a Mind Prison. Imagine prison cells made out of vines from the Upside Down. Here, El won't just see Max, but everyone else Vecna killed, like the animals Henry tortured as a child, Virginia, Alice, Chrissy, Fred, Patrick, the people from Hawkins Lab, even the people used to create the monster in season 3 like Heather and her parents.
Now let's travel back a bit. When Max dies, she wakes up in Vecna's mind. She will find herself surrounded by all the dead victims. She becomes paranoid from everyone she sees. But she's most shocked to see Billy. She thinks it's another one of Vecna's tricks, but Billy assures it's really him. You see, in season 2, Nancy managed to get that infection stuff out of Will which we saw exit out of his nose and mouth. But we didn't see that happen with Billy when he regained control of himself. So the stuff was still in his body. With that, I think that when Billy died in front of Max, that is when Vecna took ahold of his consciousness. So with Max being reunited for Billy, this is a way for them to have closure. During their time trapped together, Billy will explain that since Vecna was listening to her letter at the grave, Billy did indeed hear her just like she hoped. He agrees that he wold have liked for them to start over and be a real brother and sister. He would have joined her at the arcade, taken her to any rated R movie she wanted, even play a family board game or whatever with her and Susan. Billy wishes he could thank Susan for everything she ever done for him. Billy also says he doesn't blame Max for originally wanting him to die like ending up in a car accident for how he treated her. Billy says he really is sorry for everything he did and wishes he could take it all back.
When El arrives, not only will she free Max, but everyone else trapped in Vecna's mind. Dustin said in season 2 that in order to defeat the Mind Flayer, you need to summon an undead army to attack the brain. So El freeing all of these people can be similar. Imagine all of the children from Hawkins Lab using their powers to restrain Vecna. Virginia and Alice would say they're hurt from everything they did and that Victor was blamed for their murders. Fred says what they're about to do to him is punishment for all the torture he put them through, even with making Nancy feel more guilty over Barb's death. Chrissy will say it's also revenge for Eddie being blamed for the murders in season 4. And Patrick will say how it's to avenge everyone who died when the gates were opened, like Jason. I'm not saying they will kill Vecna because El needs to be the one to do that. They'll just hold Vecna off giving El and Max enough time to escape. And with them no longer held in Vecna's mind, Vecna will become weaker. Anyway, before El and Max leave Vecna's mind, Max has one final moment with Billy. She wishes they didn't have to say goodbye to Billy. But Billy says that since El freed them all, they can finally move onto the afterlife and when Max's time comes, they'll be reunited. They hug and Billy says "I love you, sis." which makes Max cry because he has finally accepted her as his sister. Max then says "I love you too". Max then wakes up back in her body. She sees the characters around her. She's untied and she hugs Lucas. She says as a callback to Dear Billy "I'm still here." She then hugs Susan and she tells her how she saw Billy and he thanks her for everything she did for him which makes Susan cry. Everyone then comes in for a group hug.

Wow! I love this theory! Also very meaningful and deep. But i think that plan fits Vecnas character very well. I think he would do that for sure. And honestly that makes perfect sense to me! Also because the duffer brothers said, there will be a big connection and parallels between S2 and S5! I would love to see Max and Billy together for a happy and close Moment. Also your theory about rescueing all dead people, so they can finally find peace in the afterlife could also be a big thing for Nancys and Steves future relationship. Because Barbs death was the main reason, why Nancy felt guilty and couldn't love steve the way he wanted. Because whenever she was with steve, it reminded her of Barbs death. But when El and/or Max will tell her about all the free souls, she could finally accept barbs death for good, so she doesn't feel guilty anymore. And with a clean consience she could be with Steve again.
Also when Nancy talked in S4 about Jonathan, what she loves about him, many people thought immediately that she actually described Steve in that scene without even noticing herself. Especially the part, when she said, how Jonathan is incredibly protective towards the people he loves, no matter the cost, no matter the risk and that he is passionate. And i never saw Jonathan as a passionate guy. He was kinda always calm and patient. Kinda the exact opposite for me. Passionate would be Steve for me. I think she describes all of the good traits, she wishes from a partner of her dreams. And these traits she likes the most she finds especially in Steve. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it was a foreshadowing scene? Because many people think that.

We all know what Murray said about this to Nancy. "We like Steve but we don't love Steve". I want Stancy to be endgame but i don't think the writers want it that way.
For Jancy it was Murray who saw something between Nancy and Jonathan and for Stancy it was Eddie who saw something between Nancy and Steve.
Back then when Murray said that, Nancy felt very guilty because of barbs death, her relationship with Steve reminded her of barbs death. So she couldn't fully love steve the way he wanted. It was the wrong time. But in S5 their time can finally come and then Nancy could finally realize she loves Steve, after she accepts barbs death for good.
In S4 we saw, that Nancy clearly had feelings for steve. And it was way more than friendship. The way she looked at him, the way she took every good opportunity to touch him, whenever it was the scene where she removed the spider webs from his hair or when she binds him after he got hurt... not to mention she was the first one who jumped into the water and killed the bats to save him. I think if the writers wouldn't like the Idea of stancy then why all the many Stancy moments in S4 in the first place? That was for a reason, i don't think they would have included so many dialogues and scenes between these two, if it means being pointless.

I dont think they will. Jonathan and Nancy going their seperate ways emotionally, mentally, and physically! I sometimes wondered if "seperate ways" from Journey in the last season was a future indicator of all endings!
Nobody would say this is if they weren't separated last season, they came back and were fine.
@@LuisLopez-sq9fbno they weren't! Nancy was eyeballing Steve more and more. Jonathan ignoring Nancy cuz he feels she is too good for him! My theory is that Jonathan will sacrifice himself for Nancy being his last goodbye in season 5! (Jim Croce "lovers cross comes to mind) Towards the end, the feeling was more friends than lovers. Face it, if Steve wasn't a jerk in season 1 they'd be together but Steve over the seasons has grown alot where Jonathan has not! Sits on his rear with, no car, no career options, and no motivation! Nancy is driven and she will want more. She isn't cut out for just the nuclear family life and Jonathan can be extremely irresponsible where Steve kicked it up in all areas! Writings on the wall!
@@snoozebutton23 Steve reformed himself and Nancy still didn't love him. They would be together. Jonathan and Nancy's love will be proven when one of them sacrifice themselves for the other.
Drop the bias, Steve getting back with Nancy ruins his development as it did in Season 4. Nancy had 3 seasons of development, one will die saving the other and that will be enough to show their love.

I agree, I rooted for jancy season 1-2 and was nutural by season 3. They've seemed to reverse what Steve and Jonathan were. Imo why have they reopened that love triangle again? Bc if Nancy chooses Jon again, Steve is heartbroken again. They're repeating what they've already done. So imo 1/3 will die, 3 remain platonic friends or stancy is actually endgame🤭🤭

We don’t know the events that led up to this shot. Maybe they broke up and are friends. Maybe they’re fighting right now because Nancy found out about Jonathan’s lie. Maybe Nancy made up her mind and she’s with Jonathan for good. Maybe she’s with Steve. It literally could mean anything. We don’t know anything about the events that led to this photo besides that they’re sitting next to each other (with Steve driving mind you).
