If this set came with all of the beam effects the originals had, it would be PERFECT
for 250 they should have gave me beams and stands for mecha
For 250 you couldn't even buy the last release from 10 years ago since it's probably around 400 by now. Unlike that one this new release has a better MechaGodzilla, the garuda, and fire rodan and many different attachments.

@@ImNotGhostfacee I'm pretty sure 190 was the starting price originally, but then it went up to 250.
From the ones I've seen in the past few years Super MechaGodzilla was around 200 dollars and rodan around 150.
But what is overpriced is monsters like Biollante and SpaceGodzilla being 150 to 400 dollars.
It's also no secret that everything has gone up pricewise in the last 7 years.

@@ImNotGhostfacee I can't say that I like paying this much for a godzilla figure but just look at legos and how a relatively tiny set cost 500 to 1000 dollars.
If I saw this MechaGodzilla and rodan figure at the store I would pick it up without any question. But I'm not going to make a habit of buying literally every figure released.
Which this is why the guy reviewing the figures has a problem, due to him buying the 2012 rodan and 2017 MechaGodzilla he thinks that they should never release the monsters again.
Also you have to consider inflation, things from 2012 or 2017 are much more expensive now. You can compare the prices between other releases such as Monsterverse MechaGodzilla being around 150 dollars, and Singular Point rodan being 60 dollars.
I personally like this new release a lot, it's very similar to things you would see in a toy store in the 90s or 2000s. Sure it's expensive, but how expensive is it to buy the new versions of the old rodan and Mechagodzilla which don't even look as good.
I also find it very unfair how he didn't even really observe the figures like he wasn't even interested in it. Rodan's legs, chest, and wings are somewhat translucent in the light, but this wasn't even mentioned.
It's really enjoyable to make scenes of the movie and how it's really awesome!! This is actually my first sh monsterarts mechagodzilla with rodan. And the reason why I got it because the movie was released in 1993 and that was my birth year
It seems SHMA is taking the lazy approach All I need is Garuda I don't need another Rodan or MechaG is it that hard just to make more weapons sets.

Well you might not need it, but other people who didn't get the figures from years ago and don't want to spend a thousand dollars to buy the new versions of those figures, this is perfect.
Honestly for the $220-$230 price, I’d say even without ALL the accessories, it’s still so worth it

I was able toget this set off of Amazon for $190! This was a little over a month ago. The price is back up now, but I'm so glad In lucked out. Want planning on picking this up, but I've had a lot of fun with it!

Yeah agree with you... in fact I had super mecha G, so after getting second thoughts I cancelled this set and got the old rodan release which I like better and had many more interesting extras, even 3 stands! (Also payed around 120usd plus shipping for it). I'm having a hard time with some of the reissues, for example I wanted a regular space godzilla (don't like the attacking fins one) but that's on me since it was the third release, now I'm trying to backtrack that guy...
Love that they have the copyright character logos but sadly don’t use the Fire Rodan one

Dude, lemme tell you somthin I bought 3 of them bad boys the first one rodans wings popped off so I returned it the second one the same issue the third one same issue but I ended up keeping in and then I was lucky enough to meet a seller on ebay selling a rodan in perfect condition and I love it. I ended up selling the rodan that I had. I even sold the original rodan because it had the same issue with the wings. Stressful month that was but I'm glad it over
I got a used mecha g with beam back in 2018 for cheap but i dif not want to pay 150 for a garuda. I also wanted fire rodan but did not want to pay 200 for him alone. I got this pack and I'm glad i did. Have 2 of these mecha Gs and now the rodan

Yeah I pretty much feel the same way about forcing you to get another mechagodzilla if you want fire rodan. That is not a cool move
It worked out for me since I didn't have a Mechagodzilla, but I understand the point. Puting Mechagodzilla with Garuda makes sense, but that's about it.
I think a Baby Godzilla would've worked with Fire Rodan better.

SH Monsterarts Hair is the most articulated thing
I will agree it’s pretty scummy to package a reissue a lot of people want with an entire other figure that’s already been repainted previously.
That said, this one is a must for me because my old original release MG93 is kinda banged up now and I never got a Fire Rodan at all. So I’m definitely picking this up as soon as it’s financially viable.
I don't see how that is scummy. This version looks much better than the older version and not everyone was able to get that figure from around 10 years ago.
It would make sense if it just released 2 or even 5 years ago, but it didn't and every new version of MechaGodzilla 2 costs more than double this new release does.

@@Gojirawars03 I don't really see it that way, and I definitely would never have gotten a rodan if it didn't come with MechaGodzilla.
The set to me is like what they used to do with figures in the 2000s where they would put them all in one box.
Now they sell only one for a huge price despite it being inaccurate and poor quality.
I think this style of figures is much better.
For the one or two people out there who only want rodan, there are a lot more people who would be happy to get both when they only wanted MechaGodzilla 2.
by this time they should’ve made or at least replaced Rodan by Titanosaurus, that would’ve justify the 200$ price tag.

I think your looking at this with the wrong perspective, mostly from the viewpoint of a collector who has bought all the previous figures.
For someone like me who has been trying to get MechaGodzilla 2 for more than 5 years, but I didn't want to spend a 500 dollars on just one figure this was perfect.
I also don't understand your criticism of the joints for MechaGodzilla 2. The articulation is actually more than what was shown in the film.
And you also don't point out how this is probably the most accurate looking Sh Monsterarts figure. Figures like Godzilla 90s or SpaceGodzilla look terrible and completely different from their film versions. But this one is almost identical to it's film version and it actually looks like it's made out of metal.

No, I mentioned multiple different ones. Even with this exact one it being more beneficial if the releases were split.

Heisei MG, even aftermarket Super MG, hasn't been - even sarcastically - $500 or you were looking in the wrong places.

So? This isn't a man in a suit with specific limitations, this is a toy which can have basic modern-day design principles applied to it. This would be like saying FW Goji is "overarticulated" or something.

MG is realistically $80 tops, Garuda $30, and Rodan $40.
@@StevensToyReviews A figure can have too much articulation to the point that it becomes fragile and not easy to handle. This is a reason I didn't get the other figures due to parts falling off all the time.
Other than certain Monsterverse monsters there hasn't been a more accurate Sh Monsterarts figure for the suitmation Godzilla monsters.
Saying MechaGodzilla would be 80 dollars is completely unrealistic, especially with the price of everything going up.
From what I've seen the previous MechaGodzilla figure came out in 2017 and was around 110 dollars, and a new rodan from singular point I think is about 60 dollars. And if you consider things like inflation MechaGodzilla would probably be the same price as Monsterverse MechaGodzilla at around 150 to 160 dollars.
So I think the price is extremely fair and worth it for the average person who likes MechaGodzilla.
Sure if you have a hundred of these things from 10 or more years I wouldn't pick up half of the new releases, although I think this one is still worth it even in that case.

The plastic is yellow because it's old. That means they painted over old plastic.
Interesting idea, I checked my 2 other MGs and they're not yellowed. They couldn't have repainted those parts because they had to cast new, so not sure.

I personally cant justify the prices they charge for these reissues of over decade old figures. They all have outdated engineering not up to the lines current standards, this shows in the articulation, if they choose to do these versions of the characters a third time, they need new sculpts, not the same old sculpts from before 2014, then maybe the price would be more reasonable
