How to respond to the Jehovah's Witness at your door? Story 50

  • Respond to Jehovah's Witnesses with gentleness and respect. As a young man I got involved in speaking with Jehovah's Witnesses. Arguments polarise so how can we discuss our differences in order to determine the Truth? The bible not only tells us the truth but also tells us the attitude we should have.

God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit.
I'm not a Catholic...this is displayed in the Bible.

Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve found that most people come to know Our Lord Jesus through the kindness that is shown them rather than arguments that devastate them or behaviour that isolates them. The JWs I have met with have generally been sincere people who want to do what is right. Their dedication to their beliefs are strong. Unfortunately sincerity and dedication to the wrong Jesus is of no value. I have been appalled by the behaviour of some of my church people towards them and wanted to focus this short video on the attitude we should have towards them, of gentleness and respect. God loves them and wants them in his family. Thank you again for your encouragement.

I love this video. Former JW here and got yelled at a million times at doors. Ironically, JWs, for the most part, hate “service” (preaching). You must do it because they collect your time in “service”. No “service” and you’d be looked down upon/not good association. I grew up in this cult. Cult is a serious term but it fits this group to the T. It’s a high control group that basically molds your thinking and actions. As I grew up, I only knew how to spew their beliefs and hearing other’s thoughts on religion were listened to politely as long as that person was 1) not trying to say something negative at all about JW beliefs or 2) try and convert me 3) tell me why my religion was wrong.
Have pity on those still in this cult. It’s a miserable experience. Even if they know this is not the “truth” any longer, most can’t get out. They lose everyone in their lives once they “leave”. (The organization slowly makes you give up everyone who is not a JW as they consider them bad association. The organization’s goal is to make you isolated.)
Great story Mike. God Bless. 🌸

I. must admit I was expecting to at least have been heard, and then to have had my views argued against, so being shown the door before even being able to say anything was a bit of a surprise. I was told that they didn’t want blasphemy spoken in their house. I should have asked if we could go into their garden.
It must have been difficult, having been raised a JW, to have made the stand you did, when in doing so you would have known that you would be shunned by all your family and friends within your faith community. I am amazed that you had the independence of thought and courage to challenge what you were being taught. I would love to hear more of your story. What was it that first made you question them?
If you wanted, we could catch up on zoom. I could send you a zoom link. And we could agree on a time. But don’t feel obligated. Only if you want.
I am glad that you are an agnostic, especially an open minded one. I am confident that the true God is very interested in you, loves you more than you could know and wants you to be in his family. Maybe I in some small way will be a part of that process. I think for me that would be going from one cult (JW) to another.
When I left JW I associated with a local Presbyterian church and made some friends there, but as I dug deeper into the bible, realized I was going from following a group of men (the governing body of JW) to another unknown group of men who authored and compiled the bible.
It's an illusion that following just the bible Is not following men, because you are following the canon of the bible that the Catholic church compiled, the unknown authors of the bible books, and your own conclusions that you interpret from the bible.

Jw's are taught that "Taking in Knowledge" is the key to everlasting Life. They see no need to be born again. In fact, annually they gather to reject Christ's precious blood and flesh. Jesus also said that no one can enter the kingdom of God without being "born again, of water and the Spirit. Jn3:5 And John 6:53"Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life. I agree completely. As a then Christian, I usually used to invited them in for coffee. I was often well prepared to discuss various biblical issues, though avoiding Triniity, hell, or other controversial subjects they often were met with and prepared for. These moments could be crucial for them, since it may be the only time they were "permitted" to be confronted with viewpoints without the guardianship of other witnesses and official teaching. Coffee and cookies would often also put them in an off-guarding, relaxing position. I always, respectfully, let them give their message, then respectably asked if they could listen to my testimony (avoiding the controversial subjects and "words"). No "push button" subjects, the more likely my testimony would stick. Kindness has a knack of sticking as well. I ALWAYS tried to get their emails to be able to continue a "dialogue". Nice video. I have read a few of their Watchtower pamphlets that they have put through my door. When I learned through reading their pamphlets that they do not believe in an afterlife, I became convinced that they are not real Christians. In fact, that thought alone makes them more in line with Atheism than Christianity. I did have one encounter with a Witness at my door. When I opened the door, this man said, "Good afternoon, may I talk to you about Jesus Christ?" I said, certainly, at which point I held up my rosary (I'm Catholic) right in front of his face that I had wrapped around my hand. Like a scene from a Dracula movie, he stared at the rosary for a moment as his mouth dropped and his eyes began to register intense fear. He slowly backed away and, in a fearful voice, said, "Oh, never mind. Have a good day, sir." He turned around and left my front porch in quite a hurry. True story! 😊

So often we get insulted when people disagree with us, we often take it as a personal slight if someone does not agree that how we see things is correct, but if we are open and respectful we could learn something and or teach something that will be of benefit. I personally don't agree with the JW's but closing the door on each other, or throwing each other out of our houses is not the way of Jesus. God Bless you.

I talked with a couple once a long time ago. It was actually depressing that they'd go to their translation and keep calling my translation bad. Even John 1:1 was different for them ("In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was *A* god"). There was no talking them away from it.
Just recently I was visited by a pair of women and I was VERY tempted to say "No, I don't have time to hear your lies about my savior" and closing the door on them. Instead, I'm going to prepare my OWN pamphlet of scripture refuting the things they believe and educating them on the history of Joseph Smith (I live close to a kingdom hall).

Hi Rita! Thanks for watching and commenting. My intention in making the video was not to poke fun at JW’s. In fact the people I poke fun at are my friends in their response to them at the door, and my inability to help my Dad with the car. The point of the video I hoped was plain that God through his word encourages, when we deal with people who think differently to us, is to treat them with gentleness and respect. It is true that I don’t agree with what the JW’s teach. This has come about through long discussions with them. I see them as the false disciples in Matt 7 21-23. I desperately want them to know the joy of following the true Jesus of the Bible. But this will never happen if we continue to throw each other out of houses. The story is true. The events really happened and hopefully the story shames us all to treat each other better. Thanks for expressing your view. God bless.

      @MikesStoryNumber  Před 15 dny

Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting on my video.JW's will say that they are disciples of Jesus. So will Mormons, and so will I, the real question is "Which Jesus is the true Jesus?" You say the JW's are because they are fulfilling Matthew 24:14. That's a little arrogant isn't it? Are you not aware of the many missionary endeavours of the mainstream Christian Churches, which eclipse what the JW's are doing by far. Have you not heard of our long history of taking the gospel to the world? Look up William Carey, Hudson Taylor, Eric Liddell, David Wilkerson, billy Graham, check out the missionary websites of the mainstream churches, see what the Gideons are doing, the Navigators, Campus Crusade for Christ, Scripture Union and that is just for starters. Check out my CZcams channel where I talk about the many ways and situations that I have shared my faith.......Yet Matthew 7 has Jesus saying that despite the many marvellous things people have done in his name he will say to some of them that he never knew them. In fact he says that we will know them by their fruits! And in Galations we read that the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self control? So take a challenge for me, I am assuming you are a JW, ask your church leaders how you got the new world translation of the bible? Ask them why all the other translations identify all the many translators that were involved in the translation but the new world, your primary text is silent. Who were these people and did they have the necessary qualifications to translate the original languages into English? Why does it differ from all the other translations? Did you know that it is recored history that the vice president of the watchtower in 1954 Fred Franz claimed he was familiar with Hebrew Greek and Latin, but when given the Hebrew text of 2 Genesis 4 to translate, he had to agree that he did not know how to? I believe that God has given you the skills to discover the truth to find the real Jesus and follow him. It may be costly however, you no doubt have friends in the JW's and a certain level of authority, you may have to give that up in order to follow the real Jesus.

John 15:19...... Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, for this reason the world hates YOU.
Which ONE UNITED WORLDWIDE group of Jesus' DISCIPLES fits the bill?
What people may claim is another story.
(Matthew 7:21) “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but ONLY THE ONE DOING THE WILL OF MY FATHER who is in the heavens will.
Which ONE GROUP of Jesus' True Disciples are DOING GOD'S WILL in these last days?

It may not be their problem if anyone won't accept them or listen to them. Like what Noah's time while making the arc he preached to the people but no one listens to him except his own family. Even if no one believed him, he continued the work that God made him do and he did not stop even if no one listened to him, even if they insulted him, mocked him and rejected him.
    2 Timothy 4: 1, 2
"I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching."
But, what God said will definitely happen in due time. It has been proven that because of the behavior of the people, they did not survive the arrival of the great flood that destroyed them all.
The same thing happened in Sodom and Gomorrah, no one listened to Lot until the time came to destroy them.
    Jesus clearly told his disples:
    Matthew 10: 14, 15
"And if ANYONE WILL NOT RECEIVE YOU OR LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS, shake off the dust from your feet when you LEAVE THAT HOUSE OR TOWN. Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town."
If the people do not listen, it will not prevent the coming of judgment day.
That is part of the fulfillment of what was prophesied in the last days.
    2 Timothy 4:3-4
"For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
For many people, they prevent the preachers from talking to them and they enjoy insulting or scolding the preachers but what they don't know is that what they are doing is the fulfillment of what the Bible foretold.
    Matthew 24: 14
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
It is not prophesied in the Bible that in the last days people will turn to God and listen to God's word. But, what was prophesied is the opposite because people will be more distant and will not listen to the true teachings and words of God.

So let’s review the bidding here. People I don’t know, people who are complete strangers to me, people I might not even like if if I did get to know them, walk onto my property, uninvited and unannounced, at a time convenient to them though not necessarily convenient to me, to knock on my door, interrupting what I’m doing, so they can tell me that I’m not good enough. And I’m the bad guy if I’m not nice? We will have to agree to disagree. It should be noted that of the three parties in this virtual encounter --- you, me, and the JW at the door --- I’m the only one not selling anything.

    • @MikesStoryNumber
      @MikesStoryNumber  Před 2 lety +1

Good point Peter but let’s change the Paradigm to get a different perspective. Say a bush fire 🔥 is descending on your property. Complete strangers to you, part of the local emergency service, people if you did get to know you may not even like, walk onto your property, uninvited and unannounced, at a time inconvenient to you, to interrupt what your doing, to tell you that you are the disconnected guy that is not aware, that you need to evacuate your home, you may see them in a different light, you may appreciate that their motivation of selling you safety is sacrificial? The reason I raise this scenario is even if you disagree with the emergency services having analysed the bush fire risk for your self and completely believe you have nothing to worry about you would, I hope treat them with respect knowing that within their narrative they are not trying to simply sell you something. Now I don’t agree with the JWs, in a sense they do benefit as their visiting you is a requirement for their personal salvation, but I think we can disagree with them and say we have analysed and come to a different conclusion. I really appreciate that you watched my video and made such an insightful comment. God bless.

House one (my first own flat), an old man was the witness, very polite but too self assured for my teenage rebell taste:
Witness: Greetings, I suspect you are an intelligent young man and as such you are probably interested in how everything came into existence? Do you have some time for a talk?
Me: Of course, thats fascinating to me.
Witness: Great, its allways important to have an open mind in order to understand the world and learn something. Here I have a book that explains it all, how God made our world and the whole universe.
Me: Well, thats only the second part of the story. The really interesting part is: What was before God and who made him? Have you ever thought about that? Now, I have several theories about it, let me lay them out to you in detail one by one, as you said you had brought some time...
House two (my parents'), here the witnesses came as a team of old ladies and my parents didnt want to see them, so they sent me to the door to repell them quickly:
Witnesses: Greetings, are the masters of this house at home? Wed like to talk to them.
Me: No, you have to deal with me, Im afraid.

Very true we should all treat people like the way like to be treated;! If a church group or members and want to discuss the Bible and want your views of the word of GOD! Get your Bible out and after you listen to their thoughts on that subject! They happen to have a different slant on what you believe! Then open up your Bible. And say let's see what GOD words say about that subject that they talking about! If they agree to listen like you did for them! That's great. Give them the truth of what GOD thinks but be gentle and do it with love and caring the way Jesus Christ would do if he was teaching a new. CHRISTON. Or a lamb Like Jesus told Peter love me Peter? Peter answer you know that I do Jesus. Reply feed my sheep! Second time. PETER love me? Peter answer is yes LORD I do! Jesus replied. Feed my lambs !; Jesus asked for the third time Peter do you truly love me Peter answer yes LORD. Jesus replied feed my.sheep! And what do you feed the sheep's and the lambs ? The whole word of GOD ! To the sheep's that know the word but got sidetracked a bit! To the lambs the ones who are new to the church and God's teaching and Jesus Christ salvation message! To the. Older SHEEP who knows the truth about the word of GOD and Jesus Christ give them a boost to make them more strong in the word of God! If the people who are visiting you and want to hear the word. Praise God for them don't take any credit for that because it's GOD words that are going into their heart and mind not yours ! If they don't want to do that!? That's fine also because maybe GOD has placed a screen to block the word sy the present time for their own protection. And that is GOD and Jesus Christ and their business only! But on the other hand If they curse you and call you names; then send them away have nothing more with them. ! Say nothing more! Later ask God If it's in his will and plan to forgive them and ask FATHER to open their ears and mind to your word !

Rachel Exjw No, the original brochure is NOT on the website. IF you search the title, it will come up, but it is a digital, short version, and not anywhere close to the original document. They had to remove it from publication due to the outright lies they told on pg. 7 about the "Early Church Fathers". Every quote they used was partial, and used elipses and parenthesis to try and persuade the reader that the Early Church Fathers didn't believe Jesus was God.
After FINDING all the references they mentioned in part, the whole writing absolutely conveyed their belief that Jesus WAS God in the flesh. It was quite the "piece of work".

Mike, here's a good talking point to bring up with the JW's when they come to your door. Ask them how do they explain the original belief of the "generation of 1914" & now the new belief of the "overlapping generations." If they are supposedly God's organization, then why would God have them preach about a doctrine that they would later change? They will say that the "light gets brighter & brighter," but if they changed the 1914 doctrine, then what else have they gotten wrong? They fail to see their own logical fallacy. They have painted themselves into the proverbial corner yet again & it will take place around 2040 when there will be no one left alive of the "overlapping generation." Smh.

HOW TO RESPOND TO A JEHOVAH WITNESS AT YOUR DOOR? That's simple, IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED JUST SAY SO. They will simply apply what the Bible says at Matthew 10 v 11 to 15 and move on to the. next door.
What makes you think that you are a CHRISTIAN? DO you know that a Christian is a follower of Christ and he who claim to know him yet they do not obey his commands is a liar and the truth is not in him? ( 1 John 2 v 4 ).
Jesus gave his followers a command at Acts 1 v 8 just before he ascended to Heaven, " YOU MUST BE WITNESSES OF ME IN JERUSALEM AND IN ALL JUDEA AND SAMARIA AND TO THE UTMOST PART OF THE EARTH, JEHOVAH WITNESSES OBEY IT, DO YOU? What about Acts 5 v 42 and Acts 20 v 20??
The Jesus the JEHOVAH witnesses know is the one mentioned at 1 John 4 v 15 and 1 John 5 v 5 HE IS THE SON OF GOD.
THROUGHOUT THE NEW TESTAMENT, JESUS GAVE ALL PRAISES AND GLORY TO HIS FATHER. At John 14 v 28, Jesus said, "THE FATHER IS GREATER THAN I." AT John 5 v 30 Jesus said, " I CAN OF MYSELF DO NOTHING. " I SEEK, NOT MY OWN WILL, BUT THE WILL OF THE FATHER WHO SENT ME. When Jesus saw the money changers in the temple, he said," YOU ARE MAKING MY FATHER'S HOUSE INTO A DEN OF THIEVES, " HE did not say you are making my house into a den of thieves?
At Mark 10 v 18 Jesus Christ said, " WHY DO YOU CALL ME ( me) GOOD, NOBODY GOOD BUT ONE, THAT IS GOD. Does that sound to you like Jesus is God?
John 5 v 26 says, THE FATHER HAS LIFE IN HIMSELF, SO HE HAS ( GRANTED) THE SON TO HAVE LIFE IN HIMSELF, SO CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE THE SON WAS ( GRANTED) TO HAVE LIFE IN HIMSELF? IF SOMEONE GRANT YOU SOMETHING, OBVIOUSLY YOU DID NOT HAVE IT BEFORE IT WAS GRANTED TO YOU?
IF JESUS IS GOD, PLEASE EXPLAIN 1CORINTHIANS 15 v 24 to 28 to the people you are misleading.?

Hi Archie! thanks for commenting on my video. May I ask if you watched the whole video? The main aim of the video was not to put forward a complete refutation of your beliefs, that of course would take a much longer video, but instead to highlight the bibles guideline to always treat people with gentleness and respect when discussing matters concerning our faith. I think your advice ,I would whole heartedly agree with, if you're not interested just politely say so. However I believe fellow Christians, again in light of the scripture I quoted on two occasions, are instructed to take up the opportunity to discuss the hope that is in them to anyone who wants to discuss. My personal practice is always to be polite and try, as I told in the video, to take up the opportunity to discuss my faith. The story I tell is a true story.
Thank you for all the verses that you quoted.I have no problem with the verses that you quote because they conform to my understanding of the doctrine of the trinity, a doctrine that I know that you don't accept. Can I suggest you first listen to my video on the trinity, Again it is only short, it is how I explained the trinity to my kids. I have found it important to understand what the person that I am speaking about means before I try and refute it and I would respectfully encourage you to do the same.
I have found that when I speak to people of different faiths, it important to understand what they mean by the terms that they use. For instance Muslims speak of God but their idea of God and our idea of God would be very different, similarly if we spoke to a Mormon they speak of Jesus , yet what they mean by Jesus and what we mean by Jesus is again vastly different. Let me know when you have watched the video on the trinity.
My attitude to people within the JW movement is that they are sincere people, people who God loves, who are unfortunately following the wrong Jesus. I dod not think that you are a bad person. I believe that you are a seeker of the truth just as I am, but of course we can't both be right, so lets work together on working out where we think the other has gone wrong.
Let us know when you have watched the trinity video. God Bless.

It may not be their problem if anyone won't accept them or listen to them. Like what Noah's time while making the arc he preached to the people but no one listens to him except his own family. But, it proved that it could not prevent the arrival of a great flood that ended them all.

They are false teachers, Bible defined false prophets and a terrible cult. JWs "truth"? "Jehovah's Witnesses, in their eagerness for Jesus' second coming, *have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect."* Awake 1993 Mar 22 page4
*Jehovah’s Witnesses have had wrong expectations about when the end would come.* Jan 1, 2013 Watchtower
"Does this admission of making mistakes stamp them [Jehovah's Witnesses] as false prophets? Not at all, for false prophets do not admit to making mistakes." Watchtower, Nov. 1, 1972, page 644 - in brackets added
Admitting to making false prophecies doesn't magically change them, they are still Bible defined false prophecies (Deut 18:20-22) Very poor reasoning, probably why JWs "suggested dates" and went beyond scripture.
"suggested dates, wrong expectations" in God's name? yes, these ARE false prophecies from the Jehovah Witness Organization.
God's channel of communications, his voice on earth, God's mouthpiece, JWs? Nope, just a false religion!

Actually they didn't knock on my door, they came up to us whilst we were under the car. My parents ran a childrens home for the Baptist Church so their ministry was 24/7 day and night no let up. The door scene was trying to show the many disrespectful responses to JW's they sometimes have to endure. The story is true, from my own life and I saw that this closed minded attitude was also evident among the JW's. Quick answers to your questions - Yes I have always been involved in personal evangelism - have a look at my youtube channel. But not exclusively door to door, though I have done door to door. I have never been paid for the work I do for the Lord, I have never fleeeced the flock, I have often worked with women in ministry and sat under their teaching, I would suggest however that the real test is if people display the gifts of the spirit - of love, joy, peace, patients, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control - it doesn't matter what things you do as much as if you have love. I hope my short response has helped. Thannkyou for watching and commenting. God Bless.

      No.
Jesus has a God and Father.
But it is not the false "Jehovah" of Watchtower.
He is only "god" of Watchtower.
Here is what the Father tells us.
"This is My beloved Son. HEAR HIM!"
      Mk.9:7
      "HEAR HIM!"
Here is what the Son says.
      "FOLLOW ME."

      Jn.1:43
The FATHER SAYS to "Hear Him!"
      The Son says,
      "FOLLOW ME."
The Spirit was sent to the followers of Jesus, to help in the preaching of the gospel of Christ.
The Godhead, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, all working together to gain followers for Christ.
So tell me, Brethren Lee, who is "Jehovah?"
Who is this "god" who would draw followers unto himself.?
Who is this "Jehovah," who says, "follow me."
Who is this god who sends out followers in his name.?
The followers of Christ were sent out in HIS name.
In the name of Jesus they were sent out with the Spirit sent from the Father.
The followers of Christ were not sent out in the name of the Father.
Or to preach and teach in the name of the Father, but of the Son.
So, again, this god of Watchtower, this "Jehovah," sending out his own followers, preaching and teaching in his name, who is he.?
Not the Father, who says, "Hear Him!"
Not the Son, who says, "Follow Me."
Not the Spirit, sent by the Father.
"Jehovah" is only god of Watchtower, an interloper in the Kingdom.

Would you agree that in the area of science truth needs to not only be observed as you say but be repeatable, truth in the area of history needs not only to have been observed but also documented and collaborated, and would you agree that in another area- such as understanding love, justice etc truth needs to be demonstrated? Jesus claimed to be the truth. He said that knowing the truth will set us free. The truth he was talking about needed to be demonstrated which he did in his life, his death and his resurrection, it was demonstrated in history so their needs to be documents that record it and can be collaborated. I am sure that if you investigate it this truth can be substantiated. I think categorising truth as just what can be observed is too narrow - would you agree?

John 6:38for I have come down from heaven to do, not my own will, but the will of him who sent me. 39 This is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose none out of all those whom he(Jehovah*) has given me, but that I should resurrect them on the last day. 40 For this is the will of my Father(Jehovah*), that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day... .. notice who's will he came down from heaven to do? Not his own will but his father's in heaven ( so how can he be God if Jesus said himself that he did not come down to do his own will, wouldn't that make him a hypocrite or a liar if he was god in heaven and also God on Earth... But Jesus was and is A god( but is not GOD( Jehovah))
Matthew 24:36 Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.. now we know Jesus is the son , so if he is God in heaven also how did he not know the hour of Armageddon at this time?( Because if he was also God he would know this wouldn't he?🤷
Luke 22:42 Father, if you want to, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place.... so Jesus didn't want to go through this death ( so by ur logic why was he praying to himself in heaven to remove the cup from himself when if he was god he would have the power to do himself.. also again notice let not my will but your take place.. again Wouldn't his and Jehovah will be the same if he was God, would he be praying to himself to remove the cup from himself if he had the power to do it himself..
Philippians 2:5,6Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God...this scripture says that Jesus was not equal to god so how can he be Almighty god if he was inferior to God...
    John 17:20, 21
20 “I make request, not concerning these only, but also concerning those putting faith in me through their word, 21 so that they may all be one,+ just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you,+ that they also may be in union with us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.
Galatians 4:44But when the full limit of the time arrived, God sent his Son, who was born of a woman and who was under law...(notice god sent his son from heaven)
Mark 10:18 Jesus said to him: “Why do you call me good? Nobody is good except one, God.... if Jesus was God he wouldn't of questioned his greetings, he would of accepted it....and he wouldn't of replied nobody is good except one God
John 7:Jesus called out: “You know me and you know where I am from. And I have not come of my own initiative, but the One who sent me is real, and you do not know him. 29 I know him, because I am a representative from him, and that One sent me.”) notice Jesus did not come on his Own initiative.. and he told them they didn't know him( the one who sent him) again if he was God.. Jesus just told them a lie because they actually knew Jesus( the son of God)
    John 14:28
You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am.... clearly JESUS SAYS here that THE FATHER IS GREATER THAN I AM, so there is no way he could be God the father because jesus said he is inferior to him..
    John 7
16Jesus, in turn, answered them and said: “What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him who sent me.
    John 12
49For I have not spoken of my own
initiative, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and what to speak.50And I know that his commandment means everlasting life. So whatever I speak, I speak just as the Father has told me.”
    John 14
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God; exercise faith also in me. 2 In the house of my Father are many dwelling places.
    1 Peter 1:3-4
PRAISED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF our Lord Jesus Christ, for according to his great mercy he gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,4to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance. It is reserved in the heavens for you,
    John 7:3
This means EVERLASTING LIFE, their coming to know YOU, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and THE ONE WHOM "YOU SENT", JESUS CHRIST.
    1 Timothy 2:5
For THERE IS ONE GOD, and ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN "GOD AND MEN", A MAN, CHRIST JESUS,
How is Jesus Christ God when it says that he is actually the mediator between God and Men.. God is not a man but yet the Bible here calls Jesus Christ a Man... And it says that that man Jesus Christ mediates between all other man on Earth and God (Jehovah).. worthy of noting here Jesus Christ is already in heaven and the Bible is still calling jesus a man, and calling him the mediator between God and men

      Hebrews 7
24but because he continues alive forever, his priesthood has no successors.25So he is able also to save completely those who are approaching God through him, because he is always alive to plead for them.
      John 8
Also, in your own Law it is written: ‘The witness of two men is true.’ 18 I am one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.”
Obviously Jesus and Jehovah God are two different people or how did they meet the requirement of the two witness rule?
      Matthew 5
However, I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those who persecute you, 45 SO THAT YOU MAY PROVE YOURSELVES SONS OF YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN THE HEAVENS, since he makes his sun rise on both the wicked and the good and makes it rain on both the righteous and the unrighteous...And if you greet your brothers only, what extraordinary thing are you doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing? 48 YOU MUST ACCORDINGLY BE PERFECT, AS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT.
Notice this is Jesus talking at this moment, yet he is telling them that the father is in the heavens but if Jesus was the father why is he telling them to prove themselves sons of your father who is in heaven? why didn't he say prove yourself sons of your father, who is here with you on Earth? Notice in verse 48, you must have accordingly be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect.. why didn't Jesus just say you must be perfect as I am perfect because Jesus was already perfect, if he was the heavenly father as well, as the son he could have just said you must be perfect as I am perfect, not you must be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect, making it clear distinction that he is not the father

      1John 4
15Whoever acknowledges that "JESUS IS GOD’S SON", God remains in union with such one and he in union with God.
      Philippians 2
More than that, when he came as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, yes, death on a torture stake For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend-of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground- 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father
notice Jesus was given a name above all other names and God exalted Jesus after he died faithfully, if Jesus was already Almighty God he wouldn't have to be given anything because he would already had a name above all other names, he wouldn't have to be exalted by Jehovah God because he would have already been at that position...Jehovah God doesn't have to be given anything because he already has everything (if Jesus was God that authority would have already been his no one would have to exalt him to a higher position)
      Colossians 1
      He(Jehovah) rescued us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his(Jehovah) beloved Son(Jesus), 14 by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15 He(Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;
We know Jehovah God or almighty God had no creator he's always been... This means Jesus Christ was the first born of all creation.. that means Jesus was created, Jesus was born from God or created by God.. again Jehovah God or almighty God had no creator... Together after Jehovah God created Jesus they worked and created all other things... Notice also it says Jesus is in the image of the invisible God... If Jesus Christ was God(Jehovah) it would just say who is the "invisible God" not "in the image of the invisible God" a image is a reflection
      Proverbs 8
Jehovah produced me(Jesus) as the beginning of his way,The earliest of his achievements of long ago,.From ancient times I was installed,From the start, from times earlier than the earth. 24 When there were no deep waters, I was brought forth,When there were no springs overflowing with water. 25 Before the mountains were set in place,Before the hills, I was brought forth, 26 When he had not yet made the earth and its fieldsOr the first clods of earth’s soil. 27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there; When he marked out the horizon on the surface of the waters, 28 When he established the clouds above,When he founded the fountains of the deep, 29 When he set a decree for the seaThat its waters should not pass beyond his order,When he established the foundations of the earth, 30 Then I was beside him as a master worker. I was the one he was especially fond of day by day; I rejoiced before him all the time; 31 I rejoiced over his habitable earth,And I was especially fond of the sons of men
Notice it says Jesus was produced... We know that God had no producer because he's always been it says Jesus was Jehovah earliest achievement..actually put into a position or installed... It says before the Earth was created jesud was brought forth.. again Jehovah God didn't have to be brought forth because he's always been... And then in Proverbs 8:30 it said Jesus was beside Jehovah as a the master worker.. and then it says I (Jesus) was the one Jehovah was especially fond of day by day... It says I (Jesus) rejoiced before him (Jehovah) all the time... More reason why Jesus Christ could not be God but is God's son
      1 Corinthians 15
For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. 26 And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing. 27 For God “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things to him But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone...
So after reading this scripture you have to ask if Jesus Is God why is God subjecting himself to himself, and why is God giving the kingdom back to himself (considering the kingdoms already in his possession since he is the king)... Because this scripture says that Jehovah God made Jesus king and Jesus will stay King until God puts all enemies under his feet.. and it says that God or Jehovah subjected all things under Jesus feet but that doesn't mean Jehovah God subjects himself to Jesus, as the scripture points out as well and it says that Jesus will subject himself to Jehovah or God after all these things have been accomplished so Jehovah God can be all things to everyone, everyone is including Jesus, which is one more reason why Jesus can't be God, because Jesus says he will subject himself to God after his rule is over.
      1 Corinthians 8
For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him.
Notice how there is one God the Father and "we are for him", and also notice how there is one Lord Jesus Christ to whom all things are and "we through him (know the difference between Jehovah God (the father) and Lord Jesus Christ? We are for the father and we are for the father through the Lord Jesus Christ, if the father or Jehovah God in Jesus Christ was the same we would actually be for the Lord Jesus Christ as well and not through him, if we're going off with the Bible actually teaches, notice how all things are "from" the father, and then you have Jesus Christ who all things are done "through". Jehovah God gave Jesus Christ that power (or the power came from God) that Jesus has which allows him to accomplish or through that power that was given to Jesus can accomplish Jehovah God's purpose and allowed him to help him create all things that's why all things were created "through" Jesus Christ for him
      John 5
For the Father judges no one at all, but he has entrusted all the judging to the Son, 23 so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him
This scripture teaches that the father will judge no one at all if Jesus Christ and Jehovah God were the same people or the FATHER and the SON were the same 3 in one God, the father would do just as much judging as the son did because they will be sharing the same body, but this says the father entrusted all judging to the Son meaning the father won't do any judging at all, one more reason why Jesus Christ cannot be Jehovah God because Jehovah God or the father will not judge anybody at all only Jesus Christ our heavenly King will judge mankind at Armageddon

Hi Nick, thanks for such a comprehensive comment, I appreciate the time that must have taken, even if it was a lot of cutting and pasting. The thing is if you accept the concept that God is a Trinity it all makes sense.Let me define what I mean by the Trinity; that within the one Deity there are three seperate Persons who are coequal in power, nature and eternity. I made a video that explains that concept and why I think some people find it hard to get their minds around. Have a look at it at the link at the end of this comment. Thanks for watching and commenting. God Bless.

@@MikesStoryNumber You can't consider the Holy Spirit a co-equal because we are not supposed to worship the Holy Spirit or honor the holy spirit as we're supposed to worship Jesus as we worship and honor the father as it says at John 5, so the Trinity based on that concept could not work for me.. it's just easier to accept Jesus as the son of God, my heavenly King and savior, and, Jehovah God as his father and the holy spirit as the teacher and helper... All three separate beings, with their own job and purpose.. it's impossible to accept a concept or a word ( if you're spiritual minded) that is not even found in the Bible.. Im never told to pray through the holy spirit ( Im only told to pray for holy spirit).. so before I can personally accept something the Bible dosent teach it has to make sense.. there are just to many scriptures that prove they are not equals, not even in power of eternity because the Bible teaches in proverbs ( I shared the account) that Jesus was brought forth and installed, so Jesus is not even equal in eternity to his father because Jesus had to born from God, which means his father Yahweh was hear longer.. all 3 are in Union to accomplish the same purpose, just like true Christian are in Union with Jesus Christ and Jehovah God to accomplish their purpose on earth, but we are not equals.. i think if the word "Trinity' was taken out or dismissed since the Bible dosent use or teach the word, it would save people alot of unnecessary confusion caused by that word

I read where you said the people in Jesus day understood Jesus perfectly. These are the people, all with one mind, to kill Jesus. At John 8:44, Jesus told them "you are from your Father the Devil. That one was a murderer when he began". All murderers think alike for the purpose of destroying what they did not create. Are you positive that you want to stick to those words of yours that the murderers understood Jesus perfectly, and you understand Jesus perfectly in the same way they did? If you are sticking with those words then you thrown yourself in the bunch of those determined to destroy Jesus. There is nothing concealed that by your own words will not be revealed. Thanks for this very revealing comment of yours

As you know the Jews followed the law to the letter. History tells us that they even frowned on wearing thongs (flip flops) on the Sabbath as they thought that the action of lifting the sandals could be equated as work. I am sure that they did not consider themselves murders but rather upholders of the law! Leviticus 24:16 instructed them to execute someone who blasphemed. They were so focused on the law however that they missed the fact that the promised Messiah was amongst them. If Jesus had just been a healer they would have just debated if his healing powers were from God or Satan which they did, If he just agitated them with his teaching and criticism they just would have said he was mad, even his own family thought that, but to claim to be God well that was a death sentence unless of course you were. When John the Baptist had his doubts, Jesus quoted the proofs from Isaiah. But the Jews could not see past his claims to be God, how he even implied that he would replace the temple. Thomas doubted Jesus, especially when he saw him killed, like most Jews they only wanted to see the Messiah as a conquering king so they ignored all those references to him being a suffering servant, but when he saw him in his transformed resurrected body, alive he too said My Lord and my God! So yes I think they got this part of the puzzle correct.

@@MikesStoryNumber Thanks for your sincere response to my comments. I now have a few simple and easy questions for you regarding your understanding and the jews understanding being correct that Jesus committed the Leviticus 24:16 blasphemy and rightfully fell under the penalty of death. If my understanding of your position is correct then you should have no problem answering these simple and easy questions. 1. Is it possible for a blasphemer to raise himself from the dead as is the John 2:19 popular belief? 2. If Jesus is Almighty GOD, can Almighty GOD committ blasphemy? 3. Can Almighty GOD die and after three days raise Himself from the dead? 4. Is being dead the same as being alive or is death the opposite of life. These are simply easy questions that I am sure you can answer. Thanks for your answers.

Hi Kenneth! Let me clarify, in their eyes he was blaspheming because of course they did not accept his claim to be God, or the Messiah. Because he was who he said he was he was simply stating the truth. So I think that renders your questions 1 and 2 obsolete. Although I view questions 3 and 4 as easy as you say, I am aware that if you are a JW I have to take account that you and I mean different things, or have different interpretations of the terms that you use in the questions. JW's call Jesus a mighty god not the Almighty God, which creates two Gods which goes against scripture, they don't accept Jesus Divinity or the idea of the Trinity and they also have a different view of death and deny Jesus bodily resurrection that also differs from scripture. So it seems if you are a JW Ken your questions are loaded hahaha. But I will answer them as I would normally so (3.) God the Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead as it says in Romans 8:11 and (4 )death is when my body stops working but as a Christian I have a hope of a new transformed resurrected body when Jesus comes again. I've just put a short video on the Trinity. It is not a comprehensive defence of it but it tries to address the response that it just doesn't make sense I'll put the link at the end of this comment. Now Ken tell me your story, who are you and what has formed your views on Jesus? czcams.com/video/HcWBFgWO8Vk/video.html

@@MikesStoryNumber Mike your general comments suggest you were a JW in some previous life, because you know more about the JWs than I do. What I do know is how to answer Bible questions using the truthful proofs the Bible contains. I also know how to identify when someone is a hater of Gen 2:17 and is a lover and promoter of Gen 3:4. They always go beyond everything truthful to conceal his true identity as agents of John 8:44-45. This is my response to your June 1st clarification attempt where you claimed you can answer my four simple and easy questions but unskillfully went out of your way to answer none. I will use my first question to you as an example of this your inability to answer questions. My first question to you was 'Is it possible for a blasphemer to raise Himself from the dead as is the John 2:19 belief? A clear and honest answer would be either, 'yes He can, because at John 2:19 this blasphemer said he intended to raise Himself after three days, or no, He cannot because no blasphemer can ever deserve the backing of Holy Spirit to raise them from the dead. Honesty is not something that anyone can teach a lover and promoter of Gen 3:4. They are hopelessly victims of their own self deception. Questions 2, 3 and 4, were dealt with in the same way you handled question 1. The reason why Trinitarians cannot chance to answer any question truthfully, is because they are always fearful of revealing their true John 8:44-45 source and identity. I understand Mike, it has happened before. Most times in the past even the most vocal of Trinitarians take to the closet and never emerge from hiding to answer even one question. At John 3: 21-21 Jesus explains tha they fear identity exposure and reproof. Jesus then adds that those who love truth always come to the light because of their confidence that their deeds are from Almighty GOD. Feel free to put me and my truthfulness to the test in the way I placed you and your truthfulness on test, using the same topic that prompted my interest in your claim, as to whether you and the Jews were correct in labeling Jesus was a blasphemer. Let us get this debate going Mike. Do not take to the closet. Remember you claim that you have the wisdm from the Bible on your side. Let's get it going Mike.

Let’s approach this discussion as two sincere truth seekers endeavouring to understand the others point of view and accepting or rejecting it on its merit. Let’s keep clear of derogatory remarks about each other. Now if this is going to be an ongoing discussion would you prefer moving to another platform, or even to a zoom meeting?
